Két világhírű Goya-festmény keretéhez ragasztották a kezüket klímaaktivisták szombaton a madridi Prado múzeumban, a rendőrség őrizetbe vette őket.
Egy férfi és egy nő a Felöltözött Maja és a Meztelen Maja keretéhez ragasztotta a kezét, és a két műalkotás közötti falrészre felírta: „+1,5 Celsius-fok”. A Futuro Vegetal spanyolországi szervezet közölte, hogy a tagjai hajtották végre a tiltakozó akciót a műkincseket Európa-szerte célba vevő éghajlatvédelmi tiltakozó hullám részeként.

A spanyol kormány bírálta a két aktivista akcióját. „Ez a vandál tett egy általános elutasítás terméke. Nincs olyan ok, amely indokolná, hogy mindnyájunk örökségére támadjanak” – írta a Twitteren Miquel Iceta kulturális miniszter.

Szinte nem telik el nap a nélkül, hogy klímaaktivisták ne hajtanának végre valamilyen akciót: a minap például Berlinben ragasztották magukat az aszfalthoz. Emiatt egy nő súlyos állapotba került, mert egy mentőautó nem tudta megközelíteni egy baleset helyszínét.
Ezúttal Amszterdamban ültek a reptér betonjára klímaaktivisták, akadályozva ezzel, hogy kisebb magánrepülőgépek felszálljanak.
A klímaaktivisták egyik szóvivője szerint elsődleges céljuk az, hogy az erősen környezetszennyező kisrepülőgépek ne tudjanak felszállni – írja a De Telegraaf online kiadása.
A szélsőséges tiltakozó akcióiról ismert Extinction Rebellion a Twitteren azt írta, hogy az akcióhoz a Greenpeace és más zöld szervezetek tagjai is csatlakoztak. A De Telegraaf szerint politikai pártok és szervezetek is megjelentek a reggel óta tartó rendezvényen, mint a holland zöldpárt, a GroenLinks, a legrégebbi holland környezetvédő csoport, a Milieudefensie, valamint a Párt az Állatokért szimpatizánsai.
A repülőgépek elé leheveredett tüntetők tábláin olyan szlogenek szerepeltek, mint „Hé, Schiphol-csoport hogy jársz a Földünkön?” és „Hagyjátok abba a környezetszennyezést!”
Az amszterdami repülőtér, a Schiphol korábban a Twitteren figyelmeztette utasait a várható tüntetésre, és azt tanácsolta, rendszeresen ellenőrizzék a repülőtér mobilapplikációját a fejlemények miatt.

A holland rendőrség őrizetbe vett három környezetvédő aktivistát egy hágai múzeumban, mert az olajfelhasználás azonnali leállítását követelő tüntetők tönkre akarták tenni Jan Vermeer van Delft holland festő Leány gyöngy fülbevalóval című festményét – jelentette a Dutch News című angol nyelvű holland hírportál csütörtökön.
Egy csütörtöki hágai klímavédelmi tüntetés után több aktivista bement a Mauritshuis múzeumba. Egy világhálóra is feltöltött videófelvétel szerint két aktivista átlépte a flamand festő felbecsülhetetlen értékű alkotását védő korlátot.

Egyikük a kezét a kép melletti falfelülethez ragasztotta, egy másik pedig a homlokát ragasztotta a festményt védő üveglaphoz. A harmadik piros folyadékot öntött a nyakába, majd videófelvételt készített.
A felvételen látható aktivisták azt hangoztatták, hogy az olajfestményt erős üveg védi, a gyermekek jövőjét azonban nem védelmezi senki sem.
A flamand mester által 1665 és 1667 között készített alkotásnak helyet adó hágai Mauritshuis múzeum szerint a festmény nem sérült meg.
A múzeum az esetet követően közleményt adott ki, amely szerint a művészet védtelen, és elítélnek minden olyan kísérletet, amely bármilyen okból veszélyezteti, vagy kárt okoz benne. A hágai múzeum az akciót követően a legtöbb termét biztonsági okokból lezárta a látogatók előtt.
A holland múzeumok igazgatósága a hét elején aggodalmát fejezte ki a környezetvédő aktivisták akcióinak műalkotásokat is veszélyeztető „új trendje miatt”, tüntetők ugyanis májusban tortával kenték be Leonardo da Vincinek a párizsi Louvre-ban őrzött Mona Lisáját, október közepén paradicsomlevest öntöttek Van Goghnak a londoni Nemzeti Galériában kiállított Napraforgók című alkotására, legutóbb pedig, vasárnap burgonyapürével kenték be Claude Monet francia impresszionista festő legmagasabb piaci értékű festményét Potsdam egyik magánmúzeumában.

Az elkövetők Eilidh McFadden 20 éves festő és Tom Johnson, egy 29 éves dekoratőr voltak, akik a helyszínen azt követelték, hogy az Egyesült Királyság hagyjon fel a fosszílis energiahordozók használatával, és fordítson nagyobb figyelmet a zöldpolitikára.

A Just Stop Oil október elején kezdte el akciósorozatát, melynek során napi szinten próbálják megbénítani vagy lassítani a londoni hétköznapokat. Az ellen tiltakoznak, hogy a brit kormány az energiaellátási kockázatok csökkentése végett új nyersolaj- és gázkitermelési engedélyek kiadását tervezi.
Nemrégiben paradicsomlevessel öntötték le Vincent van Gogh Napraforgók című festményét a brit Nemzeti Galériában, továbbá festékszóróval rongálták meg egy Aston Martin kereskedés homlokzatát.
Vasárnap egy másik környezetvédő csoport, a magát Utolsó generációnak nevező szervezet hasonló akciót hajtott végre a németországi Potsdam múzeumában, ahol Claude Monet Szénaboglyák című festményét öntötték le burgonyapürével.
