Az ukrán különleges műveleti erők (SZSZO) 8. ezredének katonái 13 észak-koreai katonát semmisítettek meg Oroszország kurszki régiójában – közölte kedden az SZSZO sajtószolgálata.
Az ukrán katonák a közlemény szerint a különleges művelet során öt észak-koreaival végeztek csata közben, további nyolcat pedig drónok segítségével öltek meg. A holttestek átvizsgálásakor az egyik észak-koreainál olyan katonai eszközöket és iratokat – köztük egy pártjának írt levelet – találtak, amelyek arra utalnak, hogy az illető a tisztikarhoz tartozott – tették hozzá.

Moszkvában kedd reggel robbanás következtében életét vesztette Igor Kirillov altábornagy, az orosz fegyveres erők sugárvédelmi, vegyi és biológiai védelmi erőinek parancsnoka, a likvidálási művelet mögött az Ukrán Biztonsági Szolgálat (SZBU) áll – számolt be az rbc.ua hírportál saját forrásaira hivatkozva.
A kiadvány forrásai szerint a robbanóanyagot tartalmazó roller akkor robbant fel, amikor Kirillov és asszisztense bement a moszkvai Rjazanszkij körúti ház lépcsőházába. A robbanás mindkettőjüket megölte.
„Kirillov háborús bűnös és teljesen legális célpont volt, hiszen tiltott vegyi fegyverek bevetésére adott parancsot az ukrán hadsereggel szemben. Ilyen dicstelen vég vár mindazokra, akik ukránokat gyilkolnak. A háborús bűnök megtorlása elkerülhetetlen” – mondta el a hírportálnak tájékozott forrása.

Az ukrán erők visszavertek egy nagyszabású orosz rohamot az oroszországi kurszki területen, megsemmisítve egy teljes orosz zászlóaljat – jelentette ki Anasztaszija Bliscsik, a 47. ukrán különálló gépesített dandár szóvivője egy keddi tévéműsorban.
Az oroszok „öt-hat támadásban próbálták megrohamozni a lakott területeket Kurszk megyében, tíz páncélozott járművet azonban megsemmisítettek a 47. gépesített gyalogdandár katonái. Három orosz páncélost aknák robbantottak fel, FPV drónok és egy Sztuhna páncéltörő rakétarendszert segítségével pedig katonáink megsemmisítették a többi haditechnikai eszközt. A megszállók egy csoportját is felszámolták” – részletezte a szóvivő.
Hozzátette, hogy a csatatérről elmenekült orosz katonákat drónokkal keresik. Bliscsik fogalmazása szerint a kurszki térségben a helyzet általában nehéz, de az ukrán erők ellenőrzésük alatt tartják.
Az észak-koreai katonák kurszki jelenlétével kapcsolatban a szóvivő megjegyezte, hogy a 47. külön gépesített dandár az illetékességi területén még nem látott észak-koreai katonát.
„Nyilvánvalóan az ellenség még vár azzal, hogy harcba küldje őket” – jegyezte meg.
Az ukrán vezérkar legfrissebb, keddi összesítése szerint az orosz hadsereg ukrajnai embervesztesége hozzávetőleg megközelítette a 713 ezret. Hétfőn csaknem kétezer orosz katonát semlegesítettek az ukrán erők, ezenfelül megsemmisítettek 23 orosz harckocsit, 38 tüzérségi fegyvert és 61 drónt is.

Az iraki hadsereg különleges alakulatának tájékoztatása szerint Dzsazím al-Maszruai Abu Abdel Kadír vezette az Iszlám Állam helyi szervezetét. Az akcióban megölt többi vezető kilétét a DNS-vizsgálatok elvégzése után fogják a nyilvánosság elé tárni.
A bevetés során a katonák nagy mennyiségű fegyvert, lőszert és egyéb felszerelést foglaltak le, illetve robbanószerkezetek készítésére használt helyiségekre bukkantak.
A közlés szerint az északkelet-iraki Hamrin-hegységben volt az Iszlám Állam egyik fontos főhadiszállása.
Az Iszlám Állam egykor Irak területének mintegy 40 százalékát, s a szomszédos Szíria területének mintegy harmadát tartotta megszállva. Az Egyesült Államok által vezetett terrorellenes koalíció katonai vereséget mért a dzsihadistákra, bár a szervezetet végérvényesen felszámolnia nem sikerült. Az amerikai hadsereg e térségért felelős Középső Parancsnoksága (Centcom) szerint a terrorszervezetnek továbbra is mintegy 2500 harcosa van, akik rendszeresen merényleteket hajtanak végre.

Az izraeli hadsereg (IDF) célzott légicsapásban megölte a Hamász palesztin iszlamista terrorszervezet gázai kormányának gazdasági miniszterét, Abed Alzareit – közölte hétfőn egy katonai szóvivő.
Az IDF szerint Alzareinek fontos szerepe volt a humanitárius segélyek elosztásában és a Gázai övezeti piacok felügyeletében. Emellett ő felelt az üzemanyag és a földgáz elosztásáért, valamint a Hamász katonai akcióihoz szükséges pénzek kiutalásáért. Palesztin jelentések szerint a Dir al-Balah helység elleni izraeli légicsapásban életét vesztette Alzarei anyja is.
Izrael északi határvidékén hétfő délelőtt többször megszólaltak a légoltalmi szirénák,
mert a Hezbollah libanoni síita milícia rakétákkal támadott izraeli célpontokat. Izrael rendszeresen megtorolja a Hezbollah támadásait, és egy libanoni jelentés szerint most egy izraeli támadásban meghalt két ember az ország déli részén lévő Meisz al-Ddzsabalban.
Hétfőn a Gázai övezetből is támadták rakétákkal Izraelt: a légvédelem 15 rakétát észlelt, és az egyik az övezet közelében lévő egyik izraeli településen könnyebben megsebesített egy 37 éves férfit a helyi mentőszolgálat jelentése szerint.
