A társaság folyamatosan követi a kormányok által támogatott hackerek tevékenységeit annak érdekében, hogy megvédje saját platformját. „Abban az esetben, ha egy ügyfél célponttá válik, vagy hajlamos olyan kormány által támogatott tevékenységekre (hacker-tevékenység), amelyeket a Microsoft figyel, értesítést küldünk a felhasználónak az állami szinten szankcionált támadásról” – közölték.
A közzétett dokumentum szerint az elmúlt két évben a Microsoft összesen több mint 13 ezer ilyen üzenetet küldött az ügyfeleknek.
