Megyénkben két nap alatt három baleset történt, melyek során két fiatalkorú vesztette életét.
Az első július 25-én történt az esti órákban Huszton, a Karpatszka Szics utcán. A helyszínre kiérkező operatív csoport megállapította, hogy egy 26 éves viski lakos Suzuki motorbiciklijével hatalmas sebességgel haladt az úton, melynek következtében ütközött egy Opel Astrával, mely az út szélén parkolt. A balesetben a motor utasa sérült meg, akit azonnal az intenzív osztályra szállítottak. Később kiderült, a motorkerékpár sofőrje ittasan vezetett, vérében 2,3 promille alkoholszintet mutattak ki.
A második bejelentés Felsőhidegpatakról érkezett. A rendőrség elmondása szerint a 17 éves fiú egy motorkerékpáron haladt, egy utassal. Elvesztette uralmát a jármű felett, áttért a szembejövő sávba, ahol összeütközött egy másik motorral, melyet egy 16 éves ittas fiatal vezetett. A 17 éves sofőr a helyszínen életét vesztette, a baleset további áldozatait kórházba szállították.
A következő baleset Alsóapsán történt. Egy 35 éves férfi Ford Transit járművével elgázolt egy 16 éves lányt. A fiatal azonnal életét vesztette.
A hatóságok mindkét baleset kapcsán eljárást indítottak.
