Az indiaiak azt állítják, hogy becsapták őket, dokumentumok aláírására kényszerítették és 10 év börtönnel fenyegetőztek.
Hét indiai állampolgár kijelentette, hogy Oroszországban arra kényszerítették őket, hogy menjenek a frontra harcolni Ukrajna ellen. Ezt bizonyítja egy indítvánnyal, az NDTV indiai kiadvány bloggerének és újságírójának, Uma Sudhirnak az X közösségi oldalán közzétett videó.
Az indiaiak elmondták, hogy 2023 december végén érkeztek turistaként Oroszországba. Egy utazási iroda állítólag azt javasolta, hogy látogassanak el Belorussziába is, és ők beleegyeztek.
„Nem tudtuk, hogy vízumra van szükségünk. Amikor megérkeztünk Belorussziába, az ügynök pénzt kért tőlünk, majd eltűnt” – mondta az egyik férfi.
Az indiai állampolgárt később a belorusz rendőrség őrizetbe vette. A turistákat átadták az orosz hatóságoknak, akik tolmács nélkül kényszerítették őket orosz nyelvű dokumentumok aláírására.
A News 18 című indiai kiadvány adatai szerint az indiai állampolgárok 15 napos katonai kiképzésen vettek részt, majd „olyan helyre küldték őket, ahol háború van”.

Az orosz csapatok ismét mérgező anyagokat kezdtek bevetni az ukrán katonák ellen a fronton, közölte Olekszandr Tarnavszkij, a „Tavria” operatív és stratégiai alakulat parancsnoka Telegramon.
Elmondása szerint február 20-tól az oroszok újrakezdték mérgező anyagok alkalmazását Zaporizzsje, valamint Donyeck régióban. Összesen 4 gránátot regisztráltak, amelyeket a megszállók könnygáz és fulladást okozó vegyszerrel töltöttek fel.
Ugyanakkor a „Tavria” operatív és stratégiai alakulat műveleti területén az orosz csapatok csökkentették a légierő tevékenységet az elmúlt nap során. Az ellenség csak 2 légicsapást hajtott végre, 42 harci bevetést hajtott végre és 1040 tüzérségi lövedéket indított el.
Eközben Avdijivka irányban az ellenség ismét kis rohamcsapatok támadó akcióival próbálkozik.
Tarnavszkij hangsúlyozta, hogy a helyzet továbbra is ellenőrzés alatt áll, az ukrán katonák szilárdan tartják a védelmet és aktívan semmisítik meg az ellenséget.

A jelentés szerint az orosz offenzíva öt fő irányra oszlott, amelyek a front nagy részén lévő városokat és településeket fedték le Ukrajna keleti és déli részén. Az Avgyijivka, Marijinka, Robotine, Kreminne és Bahmut irányokról van szó.
Az amerikai újság megjegyezte, hogy két év orosz bombázás és harc után nem sok maradt Marijinkából. Elfoglalása azonban lehetővé tette az oroszok számára, hogy figyelmüket délre és egy másik létfontosságú ukrán erődre, Vuhledarra irányítsák.
A megszállók elsősorban észak felől támadják Vuhledart. Jelenleg Novomihajlivka faluban haladnak előre. Nem világos, hogy az oroszok mekkora haderőt gyűjtöttek össze ebben az irányban, de ukrán tisztviselők a lapnak azt mondták, hogy Oroszország mintegy 40 000 embert tart a közeli Mariupolban, hogy délről támadhasson.

Hozzátette, hogy korábban az oroszok a kisebb gyalogoscsoportok taktikáját alkalmazták. „Ott leginkább a jól kiképzett reguláris orosz hadsereg áll velünk szemben, hol különleges erők, hol ejtőernyősök és gyalogsági motorizált lövész zászlóaljak” – mutatott rá Dmitro Lihovij.

Az oroszok néhány nap alatt már a harmadik humanitárius segélyt felhalmozó bázist semmisítették meg Herszonban, jelentette az Ukrán Vöröskereszt Társaság (URCS).

A jelentés szerint az oroszok összesen 17 drónnal támadtak, valószínűleg az Azovi-tenger keleti partvidékéről. A Dél hadműveleti csoport légvédelmi erői és eszközei 14 Shadet megsemmisítettek. Közülük 13-at Odessza térsége fölött, egyet pedig Mikolajiv légterében lőttek le.
Az egyik drón Odessza területén eltalálta egy vállalat létesítményét, aminek következtében tűz ütött ki. A tüzet a Rendkívüli Helyzetek Állami Szolgálatának munkatársai eloltották. A támadásnak nem volt sem sebesültje, sem halálos áldozata.
