У середу в Сомалі в пасажирському автобусі стався вибух, унаслідок якого загинуло щонайменше шестеро людей, ще 12 зазнали поранень, повідомило сомалійське державне інформаційне агентство з посиланням на офіційні джерела.
За словами Мохамеда Ібрагіма, губернатора регіону Нижній Шабелле, напад був здійснений неподалік від столиці, Могадішо, на дорозі, що з’єднує райони Корьолей і Марке.
Наразі ніхто не взяв на себе відповідальність за цей теракт.
Ситуація з безпекою в Сомалі залишається складною головним чином через терористичну організацію «Аш-Шабааб», яка роками бореться з центральним урядом за встановлення власного правління, заснованого на суворому тлумаченні ісламського шаріату. З цією метою джихадисти, що контролюють райони на півдні та в центрі країни, регулярно здійснюють напади на урядові, військові й цивільні об’єкти, зокрема в столиці.

На півдні Сомалі біля дитячого майданчика вибухнув мінометний снаряд, через що загинули 27 людей, більшість – діти.
Про це повідомляє агентство Xinhua.
Повідомляється, що трагедія сталася біля міста Коріолі (приблизно за 120 км на південь від столиці країни Могадішо). Попередньо, в результаті дій дитини біля дитячого майданчика здетонував мінометний снаряд, що не розірвався. Внаслідок цього загинули 27 людей, 25 з яких діти. Ще 53 людини отримали травми.
Тіла 22 дітей доставили до місцевої лікарні, ще двоє дітей померли у госпіталі. Одну дитину відправили до лікарні до столиці Сомалі Могадішо, але вона померла дорогою.
Усі загиблі діти були хлопцями віком 10-15 років.
Зазначимо, що трагедія сталася в регіоні, де протягом останніх 16 років ведуться бойові дії проти угрупування ісламізму «Аш-Шабаб».

Щонайменше 130 бійців „Аль-Шабаб” були вбиті в Сомалі урядовими силами та місцевими ополченцями, які їх підтримують – повідомили в п’ятницю в міністерстві оборони країни.
У столиці Сомалі Могадішо міністр Абдуллахі Мохамед Нур заявив, що йдеться про контроль над селом Елхарері та його околицями в центральному регіоні Хіран. У ході зіткнення урядові війська завдали ісламістам значних втрат, і тепер район перебуває під контролем уряду, – додав він.
Битва за захоплення району стала частиною багатомісячного наступу уряду Сомалі проти ісламістського угруповання Аль-Шабаб.
Ісламістські повстанці контролюють значні території в центральній і південній частинах країни, але останніми тижнями урядові сили відбили у супротивників значні території за допомогою місцевих озброєних провінційних лордів і цивільних солдатів-добровольців, які приєдналися до них.
З іншого боку, тактика «Аль-Шабаб» останнім часом обмежувалася вчиненням більш цілеспрямованих терористичних актів: 29 жовтня щонайменше 120 людей вбито за допомогою двох саморобних бомб, які були захованими в автомобілях і які вибухнули біля будівлі міністерства охорони здоров’я в центрі Могадішо.
Ця акція стала найсерйознішим терористичним актом у Сомалі за останні п’ять років.

„Серед наших людей, які були вбиті… були матері з дітьми на руках, батьки, які мали проблеми зі здоров’ям, студенти, яких відправили на навчання, бізнесмени, які боролися за життя своїх сімей”, – сказав президент Хасан Шейх Мохамуд після відвідування місця вибуху.
Як зазначається, відповідальність за напад відразу ніхто на себе не взяв, хоча президент поклав відповідальність на ісламістське угруповання „Аль-Шабааб”.
Reuters вказує, що угруповання „Аль-Шабааб” зазвичай уникає брати на себе відповідальність за напади, які призводять до великої кількості жертв.
Наголошується, що перший з вибухів пролунав біля Міністерства освіти на жвавому перехресті в Могадішо. Другий стався в той момент, коли прибули карети швидкої допомоги і люди зібралися, щоб допомогти постраждалим.

A quiet morning in Bucharest turned catastrophic when an explosion tore through the 5th and 6th floors of an 8-story apartment building, killing 3 people and injuring more than a dozen.

Президент Сомалі Хасан Шейх Мохамуд нещодавно оголосив повномасштабну війну проти «Джамаат Аш-Шабаабу» (або «Аль-Шабаабу»), який контролює більшу частину південних і центральних регіонів країни та налічує тисячі бойовиків. Кількість дітей, які страждають від гострого недоїдання, у Сомалі зросла до понад півмільйона. Це більше, ніж під час голоду 2011 року, коли загинули десятки тисяч дітей, – оголосив Дитячий фонд ООН (ЮНІСЕФ).
„Понад півмільйона дітей знаходяться під загрозою смерті, якої можна уникнути”, – заявив Джеймс Елдер, речник ЮНІСЕФ, на пресконференції в Женеві, додавши, що такої великої кількості голодуючих не було ніколи в жодній країні в цьому столітті.
ООН уже попередила, що найближчими місяцями в Сомалі може спалахнути голод після п’ятого поспіль сезону дощів у регіоні Східної Африки, так званого „Африканського Розі”.
Голод 2011 року в Сомалі забрав понад чверть мільйона життів, близько половини загиблих – діти.
За оцінками експертів, понад 513 000 дітей у віці до п’яти років у Сомалі страждає від значного недоїдання, а це означає, що ризик померти від хвороб (кір, малярія, холера), які небезпечно швидко поширюються в країні, зріс у багато разів, – наголосив Елдер. Це на 33 відсотки більше порівняно з кількістю дітей групи ризику в червні.
Згідно із заявою ЮНІСЕФ минулого тижня, станом на червень цього року 730 дітей, які страждають від недоїдання, уже померли в центрах, що надають допомогу дітям. За словами Елдера, багато центрів повністю заповнені, маленькі діти лежать на підлозі, поки їх няньчать і годують.
„Це тяжкохворі діти, які без догляду можуть померти протягом кількох годин”, – додав речник ЮНІСЕФ.
Тим часом Петер Маурер, президент Міжнародного комітету Червоного Хреста (МКЧХ), наголосив у вівторок у Берліні, що в Сомалі помре занадто багато людей, перш ніж буде оголошено надзвичайний стан, пов’язаний з голодом.
„Сигнальні дзвіночки заставляють діяти”, – заявив Маурер, який вимагав від міжнародної спільноти швидших дій.
Франческо Рокко, голова Міжнародної федерації Червоного Хреста та Червоного Півмісяця (IFRC), підтримав занепокоєння Маурера, попередивши, що близько двох десятків африканських країн стикаються з найгіршою кризою голоду за останні десятиліття.
