Október 6-ra virradóra tűz ütött ki a ungvári járási Poroskőn található evangélikus templom területén. Az információk szerint a tűz a kazánházban keletkezett, ahonnan átterjedt a garázsra.
A tüzet a hívek vették észre, azonnal kihajtották a garázsban lévő Mercedes-Benz Sprintert és értesítették a tűzoltóságot a 101-es telefonszámon.

Teherautóval hajtott egy férfi hétfőn az Alsó-Ausztria mödlingi járásában található Brunn am Gebirge osztrák mezőváros egyik templomának – közölte Johann Baumschlager osztrák rendőrségi szóvivő.
A tájékoztatás szerint a 32 éves romániai állampolgársággal rendelkező férfi szándékosan cselekedett, ezért a vallási indíték nem zárható ki.
Előzetes értesülések szerint senki sem sérült meg, az imaházban azonban komoly károk keletkeztek, omlásveszély áll fenn.
A Kronen Zeitung osztrák lap hírportálja szerint az elkövető egy 12 tonnás teherautóval hajtott neki az Elim nevet viselő pünkösdista templomnak. Egy nő sokkot kapott.
A román férfi Bécsből menetközben több járművet is súrolt teherautójával. A rendőrség őrizetbe vette az elkövetőt és kihallgatja. Nem zárható ki, hogy kábítószer, illetve alkohol behatása alatt állhatott.
Az Elim pünkösdista közösség honlapján található információk szerint a közösséget Romániából származó egykori politikai menekültek alapították az 1980-as években.

Január 30-án este tűz keletkezett a tiszaújlaki református templomban.
A tüzet egy ungvári férfi vette észre, aki átutazóban volt a faluban. Azonnal értesítette a tűzoltóságot, s a helyiekkel szólt a lelkipásztornak is.
A helyszínre 15 percen belül kiérkeztek a tűzoltók, s rövid időn belül megfékezték a lángokat. A templomot a 14-15. században építették, a falu ékessége. Utoljára 1913-ban ütött ki tűz az épületben, akkor leégett a tetőrész.
A tüzet valószínűleg rövidzárlat okozta, azonban a lángok csak kisebb károkat okoztak a templom épületében.

Az Ungvári járás egyik falujából értesítették a rendőrséget, miszerint valaki pénzt lopott a templom adománygyűjtő dobozából.
A járőrrendőrség munkatársai gyorsan feltárták a bűncselekményt. A gyanúsítottat a templomtól egy kilométerre vették őrizetbe, egy bárban, ahol „pihent”. A tolvajról kiderült, hogy egy büntetett előéletű 44 éves orihovicai lakos.
Megállapítást nyert, hogy a férfi akadálytalanul bejutott a templomba, amelyben akkor senki nem tartózkodott, megrongálta az adománydobozt, ahonnan csaknem 2 500 hrivnya készpénzt lopott el.

Legalább egy ember életét vesztette és négyen megsebesültek egy szamurájkarddal felfegyverkezett férfi támadásában a dél-spanyolországi Algeciras városának egyik templomában – közölte az El Mundo című spanyol napilap a helyi rendőrségre hivatkozva.
Az incidens a város San Isidro nevű templomában, illetve annak közelében történt. Az El Mundo című spanyol napilap tudomása szerint a szamurájkarddal, vagy bozótvágó késsel felfegyverkezett marokkói származású férfi négy embert megsebesített. A gyanúsítottat elfogták.
Az első értesülések szerint a plébános súlyos sérüléseket szenvedett. A halálos áldozat sekrestyésként szolgált. „A tényeket kivizsgálják és kielemzik, de egyelőre nem lehet megállapítani a támadás természetét” – közölte a spanyol belügyminisztérium. Az RTVE közszolgálati televízió szerint ugyanakkor a hatóságok nem zárják ki a terrorista indítékot.
