Tüntetők egy csoportja félbeszakította a brit Lordok Házának – a kétkamarás parlament felsőháza – ülését csütörtök délben, azzal a követeléssel, hogy szüntessék meg a választás nélkül kinevezett felsőházat. A demonstráció során a nyilvános karzaton tartózkodó, mintegy fél tucat ember szórólapokat hajított le, miközben hangosan kiabált és énekelt.
A The National című lap cikke szerint az ülés rövid időre megszakadt, amíg a tüntetőket kivezették a teremből. Lucy Porter, egy 50 éves leedsi általános iskolai tanár elmondta, hogy a Nép Házáért kampányol. Véleménye szerint a Lordok Háza mindannak a szimbóluma, ami elavult. Hozzátette: „Ebben az országban nem működik megfelelően a demokrácia.”
A szórólapokon az alábbi szöveg szerepelt: „Ne törődj a lordokkal, ez itt a Nép Háza.”
A másik oldal pedig így szólt: „Arisztokraták és oligarchák: kifelé. Postások, anyák, ápolók és szomszédok: befelé. A Lordok Házának megszüntetése megmentheti az Egyesült Királyságot.”
A tüntetők az Assemble nevű szervezet nevében cselekedtek, amely a Lordok Házának eltörléséért és egy állampolgári gyűlés létrehozásáért kampányol. Az ilyen gyűlések tagjait véletlenszerű sorsolással választják ki, így az ország lakosságának sokkal szélesebb rétegei vehetnek részt a döntéshozatalban.
Egy másik demonstráló, aki csak Christinaként mutatkozott be, elmondta: „Ezt az akciót az Assemble nevében hajtottuk végre, és azt követeljük, hogy a Lordok Háza helyett, amely a választás nélküli gazdag elit intézménye, egy valódi népképviseleti szerv jöjjön létre.”
Egy másik tüntető – aki szintén Christinának nevezte magát –, hozzátette: „Ha az emberek véletlenszerű kiválasztás révén kerülnek be egy népi gyűlésbe, az valódi képviseletet jelent, ahol az állampolgárok valóban beleszólhatnak a fontos kérdésekbe. A megélhetési válság, a lakhatási krízis, az éghajlatváltozás – minden egy nagy káosz. Valódi képviseletre van szükség, hogy ezekre a problémákra megoldás szülessen.”

Három ember megsérült szombaton Belgrádban, amikor egy autó a sétáló tömegbe hajtott. A sofőr elmenekült a helyszínről, de a rendőrség gyorsan azonosította és előállította, bár ellenállt az intézkedésnek.
A Szabad Magyar Szó tudósítása szerint a gyanúsított, az 50 éves M. Z. ki akarta ugyan kerülni a tömeget, de három embert elütött közben, akiket kórházba szállítottak.
Az Agenzia Nova tudósítása szerint mind a hárman csak könnyebben sérültek meg. A tömeg a parlament épületéhez tartott tüntetni. A három sérült közül kettő nő, a harmadik pedig egy húszéves fiatalember.
A tüntetést egyébként nem engedélyezték a belgrádi hatóságok. A tiltakozások novemberben kezdődtek, azt követően, hogy az újvidéki vasúti pályaudvar előtetője november elsején leszakadt, tizenöt ember halálát okozva. Az illetékes szervek 13 ember ellen emeltek vádat mulasztás és veszélyeztetés miatt, az újvidéki felső ügyészség pedig a felújítás során elkövetett esetleges korrupciós ügyek gyanúja miatt indított nyomozást.

München belvárosában a Verdi szakszervezeti szövetség demonstrációján hajtott az emberek közé a 24 éves férfi, úgy, hogy járművével megkerülte és megelőzte a tüntetést biztosító rendőrsorfalat. Tettének okát egyelőre nem közölték.
Egy rendőrtiszt azt nyilatkozta, hogy azonnal elfogták, és ártalmatlanították, így nem jelent további veszélyt a lakosságra.
Az afgán származású férfi nem volt ismeretlen a hatóságok előtt: lopás és kábítószerrel való visszaélés miatt már korábban szerepelt a bűnügyi nyilvántartásban.

Összesen kilencven embert vettek őrizetbe a szöuli nyugati körzeti bíróságnál és az alkotmánybíróságon Jun Szogjol felfüggesztett dél-koreai elnök támogatói közül a hétvégén elkövetett rendbontásokkal kapcsolatban, közülük 66 ember letartóztatását kezdeményezték – közölte hétfőn a szöuli rendőrség.
Az őrizetbe vettek közül 46 embert azzal vádolnak, hogy vasárnap reggel megrohamozták a szöuli nyugati kerületi bíróságot, miután az jóváhagyta Jun Szogjol felfüggesztett államfő őrizetének meghosszabbítását.
A bíróság ezt arra hivatkozva tette, hogy Jun bizonyítékokat semmisíthet meg az ellene a december elején kihirdetett hadiállapot miatt indult bűnvádi eljárásban.
A rendontással kapcsolatban őrizetbe vettek életkora a tinédzserektől a hetven év fölöttiekig terjed. Az elfogottak több mint fele, összesen 46 ember a huszas vagy harmincas éveikben jár – közölte a rendőrség, hozzátéve, hogy szigorú büntetést kérnek az összes törvénysértőre. Az elfogott behatolók között ketten internetes tartalomkészítők.
Jun Szogjol felfüggesztett dél-koreai elnököt egy szöuli fogdában őrzik. Lázadás vezetésével és hivatali visszaéléssel vádolják, amiért december 3-án hadiállapotot hirdetett, és katonákat vezényelt a parlamentbe, hogy megakadályozza a döntés leszavazását. Az államfő a bejelentés után nem sokkal visszavonta a döntést, amely miatt azonban a parlament kezdeményezte elmozdítását az elnöki posztról.

Szombaton a rendőrség könnygázt és gumibotokat használt, hogy megállítson egy nagyobb tüntető csoportot, amely áttörte a kordont az északnyugat-németországi Essen városában, ahol az Alternatíva Németországnak (AfD) párt kétnapos kongresszusa zajlik. A rendőrség több embert letartóztatott – számolt be a Deutsche Welle, amit a Mandiner szemlézett. A hatóságok arra kérték a tüntetőket, hogy kerüljék az erőszakos cselekedeteket és a rendbontást.
Összesen mintegy 100 ezer tüntető várható Essenben, akik az AfD ellen demonstrálnak, amely párt különösen az egykori keleti kommunista régiókban nyer egyre nagyobb támogatást. Bár a szervezők szerint a tüntetések békések lesznek, a rendőrség attól tart, hogy az ezer fős baloldali szélsőségesek erőszakos cselekedeteket követhetnek el.
Körülbelül hatszáz AfD küldött találkozik egy fedett arénában, ahol a párt társelnökei, Alice Weidel és Tino Chrupalla, újraválasztásukat intézik a jövő évi német parlamenti választások előtt. Több száz tüntető lezárta az autópálya lehajtóját és elfoglalták az utcákat és kereszteződéseket a kongresszus helyszíne közelében, hogy megakadályozzák a küldöttek bejutását.
Az esemény megnyitásakor Weidel kijelentette, hogy ami odakint történik, annak semmi köze a demokráciához, és hangsúlyozta, hogy ők maradni fognak.
Jelentős rendőri jelenlét biztosította a tüntetések biztonságát, több ezer rendőr volt jelen. Egy nagyobb demonstráció helyi idő szerint délelőtt 10 órakor kezdődött a főpályaudvarnál. Az abortuszhoz való jog melletti tüntetők tiltakozása szakította meg a Rómában zajló születési konferenciát, amelyen Eugenia Roccella családügyi miniszter sem tudta elmondani beszédét csütörtökön.
Roccella a családokért, születésért és esélyegyenlőségért felelős miniszter nyitóbeszédét a nézőtérről füttyel és bekiabálásokkal kísérték.
A tiltakozók táblákat tartottak magasba, „Én döntök!” – felirattal.
A tüntetők csoportját fiatalok alkották, akik szót is kaptak, és azt hangoztatták, hogy szerintük a jelenlegi jobboldali kormány tagadja az abortuszhoz való jogot.
A miniszter megpróbált párbeszédet kezdeményezni, hangsúlyozva, hogy senki nem akar a nők teste felett rendelkezni, de nem tudta elmondani beszédét. Roccella ezért elhagyta a találkozót. „Miközben fasizmusért kiáltanak, ez az igazi cenzúra!” – mondta a miniszter.
A fiatalokat a rendőrség igazoltatta.
Az olaszországi családszövetségek rendezte születési konferenciát 2021 óta minden évben májusban a Vatikánhoz közeli kongresszusi központban tartják. A kétnapos találkozó célja a közvélemény figyelmének felkeltése a demográfiai csökkenésre.
A találkozó idén a „Létezni, több fiatal, több jövő” címet kapta.
A konferencia eddigi minden kiadásán részt vett Ferenc pápa is, aki pénteken szólal fel a találkozón. Tavaly Giorgia Meloni olasz miniszterelnök is jelen volt.
Olaszországban 1974-ben legalizálták a terhességmegszakítást népszavazás útján. A jogszabály értelmében a művi vetélést választó nő ezt a terhesség első három hónapjában teheti meg. Kivételt egészségügyi vagy más súlyos indok jelenthet az első három hónap utáni terhességmegszakításra.
A fiatal tüntetők az idén áprilisban a római parlamentben megszavazott törvény ellen tiltakoztak, melynek értelmében a tartományoktól a nők egészségügyi ellátására fenntartott tanácsadó központokban születés- és családvédelmi szakértők is jelen lehetnek.
Olaszországban tavaly történelmi mélypontra süllyedt a születések száma; egy év alatt kevesebb, mint négyszázezer gyerek jött világra. 2003-ban több mint 564 ezer baba született.
A terhességmegszakítások száma évente meghaladja a 66 ezret, de húsz évvel ezelőtt évi 140 ezer körül mozgott.

A párizsi rendőrség a Gázában folyó háború ellen tiltakozó diákok tucatjait távolította el hétfőn a Sorbonne Egyetemről, amelynek udvarán sátrat vertek.
Egy rendőrségi forrás megerősítette a rendőri fellépést, és a Sorbonne udvarának kiürítését. Hangsúlyozta, hogy az akció pár percig tartott, békésen, incidens nélkül zajlott.
Louis Maziere, a Sorbonne egyik diákja elmondta, hogy akárcsak számos amerikai egyetemen, ők is sátrakat állítottak fel, és mindent el akarnak követni, hogy felhívják a figyelmet a „Gázában folyó népirtásra”.
Hozzátette: megdöbbentette őket, hogy a rendőrök erőszakosan léptek fel, berohantak, lerombolták a sátrakat, földre kényszerítették a diákokat.
A tüntetés miatt az egyetem hétfőn zárva maradt. A békés demonstráción a diákok „Palesztína szabadságát” követelték, és felszólították az intézményt, hogy ítélje el Izraelt.
Október 7-én a Hamász palesztin terrorszervezet fegyveresei Izraelben 1200 embert öltek meg és 253 embert ejtettek túszul. Izrael válaszul katonai akciót indított a Gázai övezet ellen, és a harcoknak a gázai hatóságok szerint mindeddig 34 488 palesztin halálos áldozata volt.

Magánegyetemek ellen tüntető görög diákok csaptak össze pénteken a biztonsági erőkkel Athénban, a hatóságok könnygázzal oszlatták a tömeget, amelyből gyújtópalackok is repültek a rendvédelmi szervek felé.
A görög parlament még a nap folyamán szavazni fog a magán felsőoktatási intézmények engedélyezéséről.
A kérdés hetek óta a görög belpolitikai élet kiemelt témája, hiszen az ország alkotmánya eddig tiltotta a magán felsőoktatási intézményeket.
A változtatás bírálói attól tartanak, hogy a jövőben a felsőoktatás már csak az elit számára lesz hozzáférhető, és az állami egyetemeket elhanyagolják.
A diákokon kívül tanárok és különböző szakszervezetek tagjai, valamint baloldali szervezetek is utcára vonultak a délután folyamán. Utóbbiak okoztak felfordulást és támadtak gyújtópalackokkal a rendvédelmi szervekre a parlament épülete előtt.
Időközben a görög törvényhozásban heves vita zajlott.
Kiriákosz Micotákisz görög miniszterelnök kijelentette, hogy „jelenleg több mint 40 ezer görög diák tanul külföldön értékes valutát kiadva”. Mint mondta, ezek a fiatalok a jövőben pénzüket belföldön adhatnák ki, csökkentve ezzel „az agyelszívás” jelenségét.
Az utóbbi években számos görög diák választott külföldi tanulmányokat, mert úgy vélte ott magasabb színvonalú oktatáshoz juthat. A fiatalok gyakran a tanulmányaik helyén telepedtek le, ami miatt a későbbiekben hiányoztak a görög munkaerőpiacról.
Micotákisz hangsúlyozta, hogy az állami felsőoktatási intézmények nem fognak háttérbe szorulni. Mint mondta, középtávon egymilliárd eurót akarnak befektetni az ország egyetemeibe.
Az ellenzék vitatja ezt, szerintük a kormány egyfajta „bevásárlóközpont-oktatást” tervez, amelyben azok jutnak előnyhöz, akik megfelelő pénzügyi hátérrel rendelkeznek.
A magánegyetemek engedélyeztetése azonban szinte biztosra vehető, mert a kormány abszolút többséggel rendelkezik a parlamentben.
