Heves zivatar okozott villámárvizet és kiadós jégesőt a törökországi Adana városában – számolt be az Időkép.
Heves felhőszakadással, jégesővel kísért zivatar csapott le pénteken a törökországi Adana városára. A hatalmas csapadékmennyiséget nem voltak képesek elvezetni a csatornák, így komoly villámárvíz hömpölygött a város utcáin, ami alaposan megnehezítette a közlekedők dolgát.
A felhőszakadás mellett kiadós jégeső is hullott egész városrészeket borítva fehérbe. Helyenként több mint 30 centiméter vastagon lepte be az utcákat a jég, melynek eltakarítására munkagépeket is be kellett vetni.

Komoly károkat okozott a kedd esti hatalmas felhőszakadás a délnyugat-romániai Dolj megye központjában, Craiovában. A 260 ezres város központjának egyes útjain fél méter magasan is hömpölygött a víz, több tucat autó elakadt, sőt az egyik utcát le is kellett zárni, ugyanis legalább tízméter hosszan beszakadt az aszfalt – számolt be Stirile Pro TV hírportálja alapján az Origo.
A tudósítás szerint olyan, jégesőkkel kísért özönvízszerű esőzést még a város legidősebb lakosai sem éltek meg, amilyen kedden este zúdult Craiovára. Azt írták, hogy legalább egy órán át tartott az irgalmatlan felhőszakadás, aminek következtében percek alatt eldugultak a vízelvezető csatornák.
Kezdetben sártenger lepte el az utakat, majd negyedóra elteltével már a város egynegyedében sok helyen mintegy fél méter magasan hömpölygött a víz.
Percek alatt többszáz bejelentés érkezett a helyi katasztrófavédelemhez, de sok helyre még maguk a tűzoltók sem tudtak azonnal elindulni, eljutni. Így nézett ki például az egyik központi tér, ahol a Craiovai Műszaki Egyetem és a helyi Történelmi Múzeum is megtalálható:
Beszámolók szerint a szűnni nem akaró felhőszakadást sokszor kísérte kukoricaszem nagyságú jégeső is. A több mint negyedmilliós városban tucatszámra akadtak el az épp közlekedő autók.
Többet közülük el is sodort az ár. A hatóságok azt kérték a sofőröktől, hogy lehetőleg maradjanak a gépkocsijaikban, de ennek ellenére sokan hátrahagyták a vízben álló járműveiket, és gyalogosan próbáltak menekülni az özönvíz elől.
A város egyik oltási központjából is evakuálni kellett az embereket, mivel azt is elöntötte víz. Craiovában órákon át nemcsak a tömegközlekedés, de az áramszolgáltatás is szünetelt, sok lakóházban még most sincs áram. Szerdán egy utcát teljesen le kellett zárni a forgalom elől, ugyanis az özönvízszerű esőzés következtében a Gheorghe Bibescu utcában több mint 10 méter hosszan beszakadt az úttest burkolata.
