Los Angelesben megközelíti az 500-at az elmúlt csaknem egy hét zavargásaiban őrizetbe vettek száma – közölték a hatóságok csütörtökön.
Los Angeles város rendőrparancsnokságának közleménye szerint csak szerdán több mint 80 embert tartóztattak le, mert nem hagyták el az engedély nélküli tiltakozó akció helyszínét az éjszakai órákban.
A zavargásokba és hétfőn fosztogatásba torkollott tüntetéssorozat során 9 intézkedő rendőr sebesült meg – közölte a kaliforniai nagyváros hatósága.
Greg Abbott, Texas kormányzója csütörtökön bejelentette, hogy a Nemzeti Gárda 5 ezer katonáját, valamint 2 ezer rendőrt helyeznek készenlétbe, hogy megakadályozzák a rendbontást az állam területén várható további tüntetéseken, mindenekelőtt a szombatra meghirdetett országos tiltakozó naphoz kapcsolódó eseményeken.
A republikánus politikus a hatóságok előkészületeivel kapcsolatban kijelentette, hogy „a békés tiltakozás nemzetünk szövetének része, de Texas nem fogja tolerálni azt a törvényen kívüli helyzetet, amelyet Los Angelesben láttunk”.
A szövetségi igazságügyi minisztérium csütörtökön elektronikus levélben arra kérte a felügyelete alatt álló szövetségi ügyészeket, hogy legyenek készenlétben és helyezzék előtérbe azokat a szövetségi eljárásokat, amelyek olyan tüntetőkkel szemben indulnak, akik erőszakosan lépnek fel és rongálásban vettek részt.
A szövetségi hatóságok illegális bevándorlókkal szemben zajló intézkedéssorozata ellen kezdett tüntetések csütörtökön is több helyen folytatódtak. Szerdán nem csak Los Angelesben, de más nyugati parti államokban is többeket letartóztattak, Washington és Oregon államokban is. A nyugati parti nagyvárosok, mint Seattle és Portland, mellett más városokban, így Chicagóban és New Yorkban is voltak megmozdulások.
Az Arizona állambeli Tucsonban tiltakozók egy csoportja a Bevándorlási és Vámvégrehajtás (Immigration and Customs Enforcement – ICE) helyi kirendeltségéhez vezető utat zárta le, és került összetűzésbe az ott dolgozó tisztségviselőkkel.
Az aktivisták többek között festékkel töltött léggömböket dobtak a hatóság embereire, valamint tiltakozó feliratokat festettek a hatósági létesítmény kapujára és falaira.

Georgia Moszkva által támogatott szakadár régiójának, Abháziának a hatóságai szabadon engedtek öt ellenzéki aktivistát, miután tüntetők mindhárom, a fővárosba, Szuhumiba vezető hidat és egy autópályát is elbarikádoztak – írja a Szabad Európa Rádió.
Az öt aktivistát, akik az ellen tiltakoztak, hogy a törvényhozók orosz vállalatoknak ítéltek oda jelentős építési szerződéseket, hétfőn vették őrizetbe, miután a szuhumi regionális közgyűlés épülete előtt összetűzésbe keveredtek egy képviselővel.
A főügyész akkor azt közölte, hogy az öt férfit őrizetbe vették és garázdasággal vádolják, miután „egy rendkívüli ülést követően a közgyűlés épületének hátsó udvarán törvénytelen cselekményeket követtek el egy törvényhozó ellen”.
Az ellenzéki Népi Egység Fóruma nevű párt vezetője szerint az aktivisták az Oroszország és Abházia között nemrég aláírt beruházási tevékenységről szóló megállapodás ellen tiltakoztak, amely jogot ad az orosz cégeknek arra, hogy a szeparatista régióban építkezési projektekbe fektessenek be. Az orosz biztonsági szolgálatokkal kapcsolatban álló Baza nevű Telegram-csatorna szerint a megállapodás többfunkciós komplexumok építésére vonatkozik Abháziában.
A helyi biztonsági szolgálat épületébe szállított öt személy őrizetbe vételének híre hétfő este gyorsan terjedt a közösségi médiában. A szabadon engedésükért tüntetők az épület előtt gyülekeztek, majd megpróbálták autóval bedönteni a kapukat. Később barikádozták el a három hidat és a fővárosba vezető autópályát.
Az egyelőre nem világos, hogy a tüntetők lebontották-e a barikádokat azután, hogy az öt férfit elengedték. Egyes Telegram-csatornákon olyan videókat is közzétettek, amelyeken a biztonsági erők és a tüntetők közötti dulakodás látható az egyik hídon.
Abházia hivatalos hírügynöksége, az Apsnipress arról számolt be, hogy a régió vezetője, Aszlan Bzsanija, akinek rezidenciáját a katonaság védi, összehívta a biztonsági tanácsot.
Abházia és Dél-Oszétia a Szovjetunió összeomlása után, az 1990-es évek közepén vonta ki magát Georgia irányítása alól. Moszkva azt követően ismerte el a két régió függetlenségét, hogy az orosz erők 2008 nyarán egy ötnapos háborúban visszaverték a Dél-Oszétiát visszafoglalni próbáló grúz erőket. A legtöbb ország továbbra is Georgia részeként ismeri el Abháziát és Dél-Oszétiát.

Amszterdam polgármestere minden tüntetést betiltott a városban, és több területet kockázati zónává nyilvánított, ahol a rendőrök bárkit megállíthatnak és ellenőrizhetnek.
Felgyújtottak egy villamost egy újabb amszterdami zavargásban. A rendőrség szerint a tüzet gyorsan eloltották, és a rohamrendőrök megtisztították a teret, bár nem volt világos, hogy kik kezdték a rendzavarásokat, vagy hogy azok összefüggésben állnak-e a múlt heti erőszakos cselekményekkel – közölte az euronews.com.
A zavargások hétfő este törtek ki a holland főváros, Amszterdam egyik külvárosában, a tüntetők közintézményeket is megrongálták. A nieuw-westi zavargások a múlt csütörtöki Ajax és a Maccabi Tel Aviv közötti labdarúgó-mérkőzést követő erőszakos cselekmények miatt elrendelt rendkívüli állapot közepette történtek.
A helyi média arról tudósított, hogy felgyújtottak egy villamost, és több gépkocsit is kövekkel dobáltak meg a randalírozók.
A rendőrség tájékoztatása szerint a tüzet gyorsan eloltották, és a rohamrendőrök megtisztították a teret, bár nem világos, hogy ki kezdte a zavargásokat, vagy hogy azok összefüggésben vannak-e a múlt heti erőszakos cselekményekkel. Megjegyezték azonban, hogy igen feszült a légkör azóta, hogy csütörtökön öt ember került kórházba és több tucatot őrizetbe vettek a Maccabi Tel Aviv – Ajax-mérkőzést követően.
Ahogy azt az Indexen olvashatták, az izraeli hatóságok által küldött különjáratokon hagyták el a Schipol repülőteret az izraeli futballszurkolók, akiket a mérkőzést követően erőszakos támadások értek.
Amszterdam polgármestere úgy értesült, hogy robogón és gyalogosan közlekedő fiatalok izraeli szurkolókat kerestek, akik megütötték és megrúgták őket, majd elmenekültek. Az erőszakos cselekményekről több tucatnyi felvétel készült, amelyeken botokkal és petárdákkal felfegyverkezett emberek láthatók.

Zavargások törtek ki Lisszabon külvárosában, miután rendőrök lelőttek egy színes bőrű férfit, aki szembeszállt a hatóságokkal.
Az erőszakos tüntetők kövekkel dobálták a rendőröket, és megrongáltak két rendőrségi járművet. Két buszt és további kilenc járművet felgyújtottak a rendbontók. Az incidensek Lisszabonban és hét, főváros környéki településen történtek. Három embert őrizetbe vettek – derült ki a portugál rendőrség közleményéből.
Helyi sajtójelentések szerint a zavargásokban hátrányos helyzetű városnegyedekben élő, bevándorló hátterű fiatalok vettek részt. A feszültséget egy, a Zöld-foki Köztársaságból származó, 43 éves férfi halála robbantotta ki. A férfit a hatóságok lőtték agyon vasárnap éjjel, miután szökni próbált és egy szúrófegyverrel rá akart támadni a rendőrökre. Az ügyben a rendőrség fegyelmi vizsgálatot indított.
A rendőrség hivatalos verziója szerint az autóban ülő férfi a rendőrautó közeledését észlelve hirtelen a gázra lépett, majd amikor végül utolérték, ellenállt nekik és hidegfegyvert rántott elő.
Az a verzió terjedt el a lakosság körében, hogy valójában a férfinál nem volt fegyver, és indokolatlanul lőtték le.
A Belügyminisztérium elrendelte az eset alapos kivizsgálását és az összes körülmény feltárását. A fegyvert használó rendőr bíróság elé állhat.

Moldovában a bíróság hét férfit ítélt el, akik tavaly a kisinyovi tüntetések során tömeglázadásokat készítettek elő. A hírt a NewsMaker közölte.
Moldova állampolgárairól beszélünk, 21 és 39 év közötti férfiakról. Bűnösnek találták őket tömeglázadás előkészítésében, és 3 évtől 3 év 5 hónapig terjedő szabadságvesztésre ítélték őket.
Az ügy iratai szerint mind a heten több embert, főként sportos alkatú fiatal férfiakat választottak ki, és vették rá őket, hogy csatlakozzanak a rohamszervezethez. Ezután csoportokra osztották őket, amelyeknek agresszíven kellett viselkedniük a 2023 márciusi kisinyovi tüntetések során.
A vádlottak nem ismerik el bűnösségüket. A rendőrség tájékoztatása szerint 15 napon belül fellebbezhetnek az ítélet ellen a kisinyovi fellebbviteli kamaránál.

Nagy-Britanniában már több mint ezer embert vettek őrizetbe a zavargások alatt, majdnem 600 ellen vádat is emeltek. A legfiatalabb rendbontó, aki ellen vádat emeltek, egy 13 éves lány, aki beismerte, hogy garázdaságban vett részt. A legidősebb őrizetbe vett 69, a legfiatalabb 11 éves volt.
Ezernél is több embert vettek őrizetbe Nagy-Britanniában a gyújtogatásokkal, fosztogatásokkal, valamint migránsok és muszlimok elleni, rasszista támadásokkal is kísért erőszakos rendbontások nyomán – közölte kedden a brit rendőrség. Az elfogott rendbontók között 12-13 éves gyerekek is vannak. Egy 13 éves lány beismerte, hogy a múlt hónapban egy aldershoti szálloda előtt garázdaságban vett részt. A lány ügyét jövő hónapban tárgyalja a bíróság.
A hatóságok eddigi összesítése szerint 1024 embert vettek őrizetbe, és 575 esetben történt vádemelés.
Az őrizetbe vett személyek között van egy 69 éves férfi, akit rongálással vádolnak Liverpool városában, de egy 11 éves belfasti fiú is. Egy 13 éves lány pedig bűnösnek vallotta magát garázdaság vádjában a basingstoke-i bíróságon a helyi ügyészség szerint. A lány július 31-én szemtanúk szerint egy menekültszállás ajtaját püfölte és rugdosta.
Ez a riasztó incidens igazi félelmet keltett azok között, akiket ezek a gazemberek kiszemeltek maguknak, és különösen aggasztó tudomást szerezni arról, hogy egy ilyen fiatal lány részt vett ebben az erőszakos rendbontásban – hangoztatta Thomas Power ügyész.
Nagy-Britannia-szerte több településen is azután kezdődtek erőszakba torkolló tüntetések és tiltakozó akciók, hogy az északnyugat-angliai Southportban július 29-én egy rendezvényen három kislányt halálra késelt, majd nyolc gyermeket és két felnőttet is megsebesített egy közeli faluban lakó, ruandai szülőktől született 17 éves brit fiú.
Noha a fiút az incidens után elfogták, és vádat emeltek ellene, a demonstrálók a közösségi oldalakon megjelent „Elég volt” jelszóval bevándorlásellenes gyűléseket szerveztek, majd többször és több helyen is összecsaptak a rendőrökkel, miközben kirakatokat törtek be, boltokat fosztottak ki, illetve migránsok lakta szállodaépületeket rongáltak meg vagy gyújtottak fel.

A Voliny megyei Kovel városban szombat este a lakosság megrohamozta a területi toborzási és szociális támogatási központ (TCK) épületét, hogy kiszabadítsanak az úton őrizetbe vett és beszállított több fiút – számolt be vasárnap a korrespondent.net hírportál a VSN helyi kiadványra hivatkozva.
A jelentés szerint a tüntetőket felháborította, hogy a TCK alkalmazottai több fiút őrizetbe vettek és az épületben tartottak fogva. Szemtanúkra hivatkozva a helyi média azt írta, hogy a sacki közúti ellenőrző pontnál a TCK alkalmazottai megállították a fiúkat és beszállították őket a TCK-ba.
„A telefonokat és autókulcsokat elvették a fiúktól. A felháborodott emberek tiltakozó megmozdulást szerveztek a TCK épülete előtt” – közölte a helyi sajtó. Azt is jelezték, hogy a fogvatartottakat később elengedték, de a tiltakozás folytatódott. A szombat délután kezdődött és késő estig tartó tiltakozó akció helyszínéről számos videó jelent meg a közösségi oldalakon.

Péntek este újabb zavargások törtek ki Északkelet-Anglia Sunderland városában, ahol a rendőrség jelentése szerint a brit rendfenntartó erők „súlyos erőszaknak” voltak kitéve. Az összecsapásokat a hét elején történt három lány meggyilkolása váltotta ki.
Hétfőn 6 és 9 év közötti kislányokat késelt halálra egy támadó egy Taylor Swift-témájú tánc- és jógaprogramon. A késelésben további nyolc gyerek és a védelmükre kelő két felnőtt megsebesült. Öt gyerek továbbra is válságos állapotban van.
A közösségi oldalakon most közzétett felvételeken látható, hogy több száz ember tombolt Sunderland belvárosában, ahol rendőrökre támadtak, és legalább egy autót felgyújtottak. Northumbria rendőrsége arról számolt be, hogy „rendőreink továbbra is a folyamatban lévő összecsapásokkal foglalkoznak, és súlyos erőszakos cselekményeket tapasztaltak. Az általunk tapasztalt botrányok teljesen elfogadhatatlanok”.
Yvette Cooper belügyminiszter az X-en azt írta: a rendbontók „meg fogják fizetni az árát erőszakos és bűnözői viselkedésüknek”.
„A rendőrség a kormány teljes támogatását élvezi, hogy a lehető legerélyesebben, a törvény teljes erejével lépjen fel” – közölte. Hozzátette: a zavargók „nem képviselik Nagy-Britanniát”.
A régió polgármestere, Kim McGuinness „megdöbbenéssel” reagált. Azt írta az X-en: „Ha a tragédiára adott válaszod az, hogy erőszakos cselekményekre használod fel, hogy másoknak kárt okoz, hogy megtámadod a rendőrséget és megrongálod más tulajdonát, akkor nem képviselsz mást, mint vandalizmust”.
A történtek után a rendőrség egy esetlegesen feszült hétvégére készül. Londonban a fővárosi rendőrség bejelentette: „megnövelte” erőinek létszámát, hogy „megnyugtassa” a lakosságot, miközben a fővárosban egy palesztinbarát felvonulást, valamint egy bevándorlásellenes tüntetést is terveznek.
Az észak-angliai Merseyside megye rendőrsége, amelynek mintegy ötven rendőre megsérült a keddi összecsapásokban az előző napi késeléses támadás miatt gyászoló északnyugat-angliai Southportban, szintén közölte, hogy készen áll az esetleges újabb összecsapásokra, és több rendőrt vezényelt Liverpool belvárosába.
Kétszáz-háromszáz ember – a rendőrség szerint a szélsőjobboldali, iszlámellenes Angol Védelmi Liga (EDL) támogatói – vett részt kedden a dulakodásban, amelynek hátterében a támadások elkövetőjének vallásáról, személyazonosságáról vagy származásáról az interneten megosztott pletykák és találgatások álltak.
A 17 éves gyanúsítottat, Axel Rudakubanát gyilkossággal és gyilkossági kísérlettel vádolták meg és őrizetbe vették. A különböző rendőri erők több városban, köztük a közép-angliai Nottinghamben, az észak-angliai Rotherhamben, a walesi Cardiffban és az észak-írországi Belfastban is tüntetésekre számítanak.
A southporti összecsapások, ahol egy mecset volt a célpont, arra késztették a muzulmán imahelyek vezetőit, hogy fokozzák biztonsági intézkedéseiket.
A fővárosban a rendőrség találkozott a muzulmán közösség vezetőivel, és több mecsetet is felkeresett, hogy „biztonsági tanácsokat adjon és meghallgassa félelmeiket” – derült ki egy hatósági közleményből.
Egy palesztinbarát felvonulást is terveznek Londonban, valamint a ”Elég volt„ mozgalom, a közösségi oldalakon megjelent bevándorlásellenes jelszóval egybekötött gyűlést szervez ennek a menetnek az útvonala közelében.
Szerdán több száz, brit zászlókat tartó és bevándorlásellenes jelszavakat kiabáló ember tüntetett feszült hangulatban a miniszterelnöki hivatal, a Downing Street előtt, ahol 111 embert őrizetbe vettek.
Csütörtökön Keir Starmer brit miniszterelnök kijelentette, hogy szilárdan kiáll a rendőrség mellett, miután egyre több erőszakos gyűlést rendeznek, amelyeket „egyértelműen” a „szélsőjobboldali gyűlölet” táplál.
