Дев’ять людей, в тому числі російська пара туристів, загинули і ще кілька зникли безвісти в результаті зсуву, викликаного мусонними дощами на острові Пхукет в Таїланді пізно ввечері в п’ятницю, повідомила місцева поліція.
Згідно з повідомленням, раптові 200 міліметрів дощу, починаючи з 2 години ночі, обрушилися на житлову і курортну зону острова, де розташовано багато готелів і туристичних курортів; місцеве джерело новин повідомило про пошкодження 250 будинків.
Поліція шукає зниклих людей із залученням значних сил солдатів і добровольців. Очікується, що дощі продовжаться, тому влада попередила людей бути обережними і уникати районів, що знаходяться в зоні ризику.
У Таїланді місячний мусон спричинив повені на півночі й півдні країни, в результаті чого станом на п’ятницю загинуло п’ятеро людей і 32 отримали поранення.

Сильні дощі викликали зсуви в південному індійському штаті Керала у вівторок уранці. Багато людей досі розшукуються, й очікується, що кількість загиблих зросте.
Протягом кількох годин зсуви змили села Чоралмала, Аттамала і Мундаккай у південній частині штату Ваянада. Спокійна річка, що протікає через села, за короткий час змила все навколо. Тіла загиблих знаходили навіть за 25 кілометрів від місця стихійного лиха. Близько 2500 мешканців перебувають у тимчасових центрах розміщення.
«Дуже важко знаходити тіла через те, що тут скалиста місцевість», – повідомив ЗМІ один із рятувальників. У пошуках допомагають військові та велика кількість волонтерів.

Понад 150 людей загинули внаслідок двох зсувів у південній частині Ефіопії. Рятувальники зазначають, що кількість жертв може зрости.
За даними місцевої влади, від першого зсуву, який спричинили сильні дощі, постраждало село в районі Кенчо Шача Гозді в адміністративному регіоні Гофа. Жертвами другого стали ті, хто зібрався для порятунку потерпілих.
«Рятувальні роботи тривають. Але пошук тіл проводиться в доволі важкодоступній місцевості», – повідомив агентству Reuters по телефону Маркос Мелесе, керівник служби ліквідації наслідків стихійних лих у регіоні Гофа. Він додав, що наразі знайдено тіла 157 людей із двох сіл і, швидше за все, кількість жертв зросте.
Серед загиблих є маленькі діти та вагітні жінки. Щонайменше п’ятьох людей вдалося врятувати з-під завалів живими, повідомив представник місцевої влади.
Гофа знаходиться приблизно за 450 км від столиці, Аддис-Абеби.

У кантоні Тічино на південному сході Швейцарії кілька людей зникли безвісти після зсуву, спровокованого проливним дощем, який ішов у суботу на більшій частині країни, повідомили правоохоронці.
Сильні зливи «спричинили зсуви в районі Фонтана (у північно-західній частині кантону) та призвели до зникнення людей», – ідеться в заяві поліції кантону. Додаткових подробиць не повідомляється.
«Рятувальні роботи серйозно ускладнені несприятливими погодними умовами», – додали у відомстві.
У неділю вранці місцева влада видала розпорядження про евакуацію мешканців будинків, розташованих уздовж та в долині річки Магія, де тривають пошуки зниклих. Дороги було перекрито, людей з кемпінгів поблизу річки евакуйовано.
Вода затопила кілька автошляхів у долині, припинилося електропостачання. Частина кантону залишилася без питної води.
У суботу більшу частину Швейцарії накрили сильні грози. Через проливний дощ і танення снігу в горах на річці Рона та її притоках виникла повінь. У південно-західному кантоні Уолліс влада евакуювала сотні людей і перекрила дороги.
На минулих вихідних у Швейцарії також були сильні дощі та штормовий вітер, які спричинили загибель людини і призвели до значних збитків у південно-східній частині країни.

Щонайменше дев’ятеро людей, з них троє дітей, загинули внаслідок зсувів ґрунту, спричинених мусонними дощами на заході Непалу.
Про це повідомляє Reuters, передає Укрінформ.
П’ятеро членів сім’ї спали, коли їхній будинок змило у селі Маліка в районі Гулмі, приблизно за 250 км на захід від Катманду, повідомили у Національному управлінні з порятунку і зменшення наслідків стихійних лих. У відомстві додали, що тіла всіх п’ятьох були знайдені.
У сусідньому районі Сянджа одна жінка і її трирічна дочка загинули в результаті зсуву, який зніс їхній будинок. А в районі Баглунг, який межує з Гулмі, двоє людей загинули в результаті іншого зсуву.
Загалом з середини червня щонайменше 35 людей по всьому Непалу загинули в результаті зсувів, повеней і ударів блискавок, коли почалися щорічні мусонні дощі.
Дощі зазвичай тривають до середини вересня.

Троє людей зникли безвісти в суботу після того, як сильні грози й зливи на південному сході Швейцарії спричинили зсув ґрунту.
Про це повідомляє AP.
За словами місцевої влади, одну жінку витягли живою після того, як її поховав зсув в альпійській долині Мізокс у кантоні Граубюндені. Рятувальна операція трьох інших осіб триває.
Зсув накрив будинки у муніципалітеті Лосталло. Рятувальники проводили пошуки зниклих весь день суботи за допомогою екскаваторів та спеціально навчених пошукових собак.
Представник поліції Вільям Клотер, який очолює рятувальну операцію, повідомив місцевим ЗМІ, що він сподівається знайти трьох зниклих людей живими.
Водночас альпійський курорт Церматт у південному кантоні Вале був відрізаний від зовнішнього світу в п’ятницю та суботу після розливу річки Маттервіспа.
Аварійні служби в кантоні Вале привели в стан підвищеної готовності через рівень води в річці Рона, який досяг свого піку в суботу.
У суботу ж влада евакуювала 230 жителів. Особливо постраждав муніципалітет Шіпіс, розташований на лівому березі Рони.

В Австрії неподалік міста Грац зсув ґрунту накрив родину з дітьми, яка йшла під пагорбом, внаслідок нещасного випадку загинув 5-річний хлопчик.
Про це повідомляє Kurier, пише „Європейська правда”.
Інцидент стався надвечір у середу у місцевості Санкт Марейн біля Граца. Після сильних дощів у регіоні минулого тижня схили пагорбів стали нестійкими.
Грунт обвалився на лісову стежку якраз тоді, коли там проходила сім’я на прогулянці – жінка з двома власними дітьми і двома їхніми друзями. Одного хлопчика засипало повністю, іншого лише частково. Жінка і двоє інших дітей залишились неушкодженими і викликали допомогу.
Одну дитину з травмами госпіталізували, але 5-річного хлопчика, якого повністю засипало землею, врятувати не встигли.
У рятувальній службі кажуть, що зі схилу обвалилося близько 100 кубометрів ґрунту, вага цієї землі – близько 200 тонн. Рятувальну операцію ускладнило те, що через завал на місце не могли під’їхати технікою, довелося додатково страхувати дерева на краю утвореного урвища, звідки потенційно міг статися новий обвал.
Зсуви сталися і в інших місцях у цьому районі, проте там ніхто не постраждав.

Масштабний зсув ґрунту стався у п’ятницю, 24 травня, у Папуа-Новій Гвінеї. Відомо про понад 2000 загиблих.

Трагедія сталась вранці понеділка, у провінції Енга, що в центральній частині Папуа. Через це там велика кількість жертв, через те, що більшість загиблих була у своїх будинках. Руйнувань зазнали шусть віддалених сіл району Мулітаке. Там проживало приблизно 400- осіб, тому кількість жертв може збільшуватись.
За даними ЗМІ, під землею опинились майже по два поверхи будівель, а похованими виявились понад 150 будинків і «рятувальники почули крики з-під землі».
Протягом понад 72 години після зсуву жителі лопатами, палицями й руками намагалися розгребти уламки. За даними влади провінції, виявили лише п’ять тіл загиблих. У пошуку місцевим допомагає Австралія, Китай та Нова Зеландія.
