Egy olasz bíróság kedden hozzájárulását adta egy szankciósértéssel gyanúsított orosz állampolgár kiadatásához az Egyesült Államoknak.
Az orosz állampolgárt egyebek között banki csalással és azzal gyanúsítják, hogy a Venezuela ellen elrendelt szankciók megsértésével olajat szállított a latin-amerikai országból. A férfit tavaly októberben fogták el egy nemzetközi elfogatóparancs alapján a milánói Malpensa repülőtéren, s azóta házi őrizetben van.
A milánói fellebbviteli bíróság kedden közölte, hogy hozzájárult ugyan Artyom U. kiadatásához, de csak kettővel ért egyet az Egyesült Államokban terhére rótt négy vádpont közül. A törvényszék a döntésével elutasította, hogy a gyanúsítottat amerikai katonai technológia csempészése és pénzmosás címén is kiadják az amerikai igazságszolgáltatásnak.
A férfi védője még fellebbezést nyújthat be a római legfelsőbb bíróságon.
Az amerikai ügyészség tavaly Artyom U. és négy másik orosz állampolgár ellen emelt vádat, amely szerint amerikai gyártóknál vásárolt olyan katonai eszközöket szállítottak orosz vevőknek, amelyek egy része később az ukrajnai harctéren tűnt fel. A vádhatóság szerint a gyanúsítottak egy német vállalkozást használtak a katonai technológia, valamint a venezuelai olaj Oroszországba szállítására.

Szombaton és vasárnap is lavinák pusztítottak Colorado államban, melynek következtében két síelő meghalt. Szombaton a coloradói hegyimentők megtalálták a 36 éves Glenwood Springs-i síelő, Joel Shute holttestét, miután őt és két másik társát egy hatalmas lavina sodorta el a Colorado állambeli Marble-tól délnyugatra.
„Shute péntek este tűnt el, amikor a lavina 730 méteren söpörte le a hegyoldalt. A mentőalakulatok a férfi holttestét lavinatörmelékbe temetve találták meg” – közölte a központ. Egy síelő és snowboardos, aki Joel Shute mellett volt, életben maradt. Mindkettőjüket kórházba szállították – közölte a Gunnison megyei seriff hivatala. Vasárnap három sportolót sodort magával egy hatalmas lavina az Aspen közelében fekvő Aspen Highlands üdülőhelyen kívüli Maroon bowling területén – közölte a Pitkin megyei seriff hivatala. A síelők közül kettőnek sikerült túlélnie, azonban egyikük meghalt.
A télen eddig tizenkilenc ember halt meg lavinák miatt az Egyesült Államokban, köztük kilenc Coloradóban. A 2020-2021 telén lezajlott lavinák 37 ember halálát okozták országszerte, ez volt a legtöbb a lavinaközpont adatai szerint 1950-ig visszamenőleg.
