Kijevben a rendőrség őrizetbe vett négy fiatal férfit, akiket azzal gyanúsítanak, hogy bitcoinokért meggyilkoltak és elástak egy külföldit, most életfogytiglani börtönbüntetéssel néznek szembe – közölte hétfőn a Liga.net hírportál a Nemzeti Rendőrség sajtószolgálatára hivatkozva.
A jelentés szerint a gyilkosság Kijev Szolomjanka kerületében történt, az eltulajdonított bitcoinok hrivnya-egyenértékben kifejezett mennyisége körülbelül 7 millió. A rendőrök elmondták, hogy a 24 és 29 év közötti gyanúsítottak gondosan kidolgozták a külföldi elrablásának tervét. A nyomozás megállapította, hogy a férfiak megtudták, hogy az áldozat bitcoinokkal rendelkezik, amelyek értéke közel 7 millió hrivnya.
A rendőrség tájékoztatása szerint a gyanúsítottak a Szolomjanka kerületben felkutatták a külföldi illető lakcímét, majd éjfél körül, amikor hazafelé tartott, megtámadták, erőszakkal berángatták egy autóba, majd egy elhagyatott épületbe vitték Kijev megyében. Ezt követően arra kényszerítették, hogy a bitcoinokat utalja át a kriptopénztárcájukba.
A rendőrök elmondták, hogy ezt követően a férfit megfojtották, majd a bűncselekmény nyomainak elrejtése érdekében az autó rendszámát és kinézetét megváltoztatták, a holttestet pedig az erdőbe vitték, ahol elásták, a kriptovalutát pedig készpénzre váltották.
A férfi elrablásával kapcsolatos információ éjfél körül érkezett a rendőrségre – a ház lakói sikoltozást hallottak, és látták, ahogy több ismeretlen személy ver és erőszakkal betuszkol egy férfit egy autóba.
A kijevi rendőrség nyomozói négy törvénycikkely alapján indított büntetőeljárást: aljas célból elkövetett szándékos emberölés; rablótámadás; személyek szervezett csoportja által elkövetett jogellenes fogva tartás; a bűncselekmény eltitkolása.
A letartóztatottakat meggyanúsították, a bíróság óvadék letételének lehetősége nélkül vette őrizetbe őket. Az elkövetők életfogytiglani börtönbüntetést kaphatnak.

Dnyipróban a rendőrség őrizetbe vett két férfit, akiket azzal gyanúsítanak, hogy meggyilkolták Mihajlo Tonkonohij 32 éves ismert helyi aktivistát, a teherfuvarozók helyi szakszervezetének vezetőjét – számolt be csütörtökön a censor.net hírportál a Dnyipropetrovszk megyei rendőrség közlésére hivatkozva.
A jelentés szerint kedden érkezett a bejelentés a rendőrségre egy 32 éves férfi eltűnéséről, aki egy Škoda Octavia típusú személygépkocsival távozott otthonról. Másnap, július 24-én a rendőrök megállapították, hogy a férfi bűncselekmény áldozata lett. A holttestét lőtt sebekkel az egyik dnyiprói kertészeti társaság közelében lévő erdősávban találták meg.
A nyomozás adatai szerint július 22-én az elkövetők megegyeztek az áldozattal, hogy találkoznak. Konfliktus alakult ki közöttük, amelynek következtében a két férfi hat lövéssel megölte az aktivistát. Ezt követően a gyanúsítottak a fegyvert egy víztározóba dobták, a holttestet pedig az erdősávban elásták, majd az áldozat autójával egy előre kibérelt garázsba hajtottak.
A rendőrök őrizetbe vettek a két gyanúsítottat – egy 39 éves Szlobozsanszke települési és egy 23 éves dnyiprói lakost. A gyanúsítottak előre megfontolt szándékból elkövetett gyilkosság címén indítottak eljárást, amelyet személyek csoportja követett el előzetes összebeszélés alapján. 10-től 15 évig terjedő szabadságvesztésre vagy életfogytig tartó szabadságvesztésre számíthatnak.

A jelentés szerint a gyilkosság szerdán 21:00 óra körül történt a Dmitro Donszkoj utcában, ahová egy 53 éves helyi taxis hívásra érkezett. „A 102-es rendőrségi vonalra egy nőtől érkezett bejelentés, hogy szemtanúja volt két férfi verekedésének, melynek során egyikük megütötte a másikat, aminek következtében a sértett a földre esett és az útpadkán feküdt életjelek nélkül” – közölte a rendőrség.
Mint kiderült, a férfiak közötti konfliktus oka az volt, hogy a taxis nem volt hajlandó egyszerre öt utast szállítani, mert az autóját négy utasra tervezték. „A válasza felháborította az egyik potenciális utast, aki erőszakkal kirángatta a sofőrt az autóból és verni kezdte. A verekedés során a sofőr egy baseball-ütőt vett elő a csomagtartóból, és védekezni kezdett, a bottal megütötte a 30 éves ellenfelet” – tette hozzá a közlemény. Az utóbbi azonban többször mellkason szúrta. A taxis a mentők kiérkezése előtt a helyszínen belehalt a sérüléseibe. A halál pontos okát az igazságügyi orvosszakértői vizsgálat állapítja meg.
A Nemzeti Gárda környéken járőröző katonái és más szemtanúk megakadályozták, hogy az elkövető elmeneküljön a bűncselekmény helyszínéről. „Az elkövető cselekményét a büntetőtörvénykönyv 115. cikkelyének 1. része alapján szándékos emberölésnek minősítettük. A gyanúsítottat az eljárási rend szerint őrizetbe vettük. Az orvosi vizsgálat eredménye szerint ittas állapotban volt. Jelenleg a meggyanúsítás és a megelőző intézkedések meghozatala folyamatban van” – mondta el Mikola Kasirkin, az odesszai járási rendőrség vezetője.

Lövöldözés volt Ternopil egyik szállodájában, ahol egy őrnagy rajtakapta a feleségét a főtörzsőrmester szeretőjével, a tiszt hat lövést adott le Glock-17-es szolgálati pisztolyából az altisztre – számolt be vasárnap a TSZN hírportál a Ternopiljani című helyi kiadványra hivatkozva.
A jelentés szerint az eset vasárnap virradóra történt három óra körül a Sztepan Budnij utcában található szállodában. Az őrnagy a szállodakomplexum negyedik emeletén érte tetten a feleségét a szeretőjével, az egyik határőregység főtörzsőrmesterével.
Az őrnagy hatszor lőtt az őrmesterre a hozzá csatolt Glock-17 szolgálati oldalfegyverével. Az információk szerint a főtörzsőrmester még a helyszínen meghalt. Az őrnagyot őrizetbe vették a büntetőtörvénykönyv 208. cikkelyének alapján.

Bőröndökben találtak emberi maradványokat a bristoli hídon Nagy-Britanniában. A rendőrség szerint a gyanúsított taxival érkezett a helyszínre, ahol kipakolták a bőröndöket, a sofőr segíti a nyomozást.
A Sky News jelentése szerint a rendőrség úgy véli, hogy a bristoli Clifton Suspension hídon, bőröndökben talált emberi maradványok feltehetően két férfihez tartoznak.
Az első boncolás nem volt eredményes, második még folyamatban van – közölte a Metropolitan Police, megjegyezve, hogy egyik áldozatot sem azonosították hivatalosan.
A Scotland Yard közlése szerint az eddigi információik alapján arra jutottak, hogy a gyanúsítottként azonosított férfi szerdán, a maradványok megtalálása előtt Londonból Bristolba utazott A nyugat-londoni Shepherd’s Bushban helyszínelnek, az átkutatott ingatlan egy nagy lakótelep mellett van.
A Sky News által megszólaltatott, az ingatlannal közvetlenül szemben lévő tömbházban lakó egyik hölgy elmondta, hogy őt és az édesanyját hajnali fél ötkor kutyaugatásra és nagy kinti felfordulásból eredő hangokra ébresztették fel, amikor a rendőrség megérkezett az ingatlanhoz.
A nő hozzátette, hogy rémisztő a gondolat, hogy a bristoli holttestek felfedezéséhez kapcsolódóan valami oly közel történhetett az otthonához. Az Avon és Somerset-i rendőrség fényképet tett közzé az azonosítatlan gyanúsítottról.
A leírás szerint a gyanúsított fekete bőrű, szakállas, fekete Adidas baseball sapkát, fekete farmert, fekete kabátot és fekete, vastag fehér talpú edzőcipőt viselő férfi egy fekete hátizsákot hordott magánál.
A rendőrök szerint nincs arra utaló információ, hogy Avon és Somerset területén tartózkodna. A rendőrök szerda este nem sokkal éjfél előtt kaptak bejelentést arról, hogy egy bőrönddel rendelkező férfi gyanúsan viselkedik a hídon.
Vicks Hayward-Melen Bristol megbízott parancsnoka szerint a körözött férfi taxival ment oda, ahol a bőröndöket kirakták. A sofőr segít a rendőrségi nyomozásban, a taxiját pedig lefoglalták.
A rendőrség 10 percen belül a helyszínre érkezett, de a férfi eltűnt, és egy bőröndöt hagyott hátra. Nem sokkal később egy második bőröndöt is felfedeztek a közelben, mindkettőben emberi maradványokat találtak. A szemtanúk kihívták a rendőrséget, miután látták, hogy egy férfinél egy „rongyos” bőröndből vér szivárog. A férfi elhagyta a helyszínt, állítólag egy kerékpáros üldözte.
A rendőrség közlése szerint a gyanúsított Leigh Woods irányába indult el, miután elhagyta a bőröndöket. Andy Valentine rendőrfőnök-helyettes, aki a nyomozást vezeti a Metropolitan Police részéről, elmondta: „az elmúlt 48 órában rendkívül szorosan együttműködtünk az Avon és Somerset-i kollégákkal. Arra a következtetésre jutottunk, hogy a férfi, akit ki kell hallgatnunk, szerda este (július 10-én – a szerk.) Londonból Bristolba utazott.”

2024 első hat hónapjában hét újságírót öltek meg Pakisztánban – ez már a teljes év tekintetében is rekord lenne, azonban az esztendő fele még hátra van, számolt be a The Guardian.
A legutóbbi áldozat Halil Dzsibran júniusban vesztette életét. Dzsibran egy, az Afganisztánnal szomszédos Hajber–Pahtunvhai sajtóklub elnöke volt, akit két támadó autójából rángatott ki, majd lőtt le. Egy újságíró-gyilkosságokat vizsgáló szervezet munkatársa, Adil Dzsavad szerint a hét halálesetből legalább négy esetében az újságírók hivatásával állt kapcsolatban a gyilkosság.
Az utóbbi években Pakisztánban egyre nagyobb jelentőségre tesz szert a polgári újságírás, köszönhetően a közösségi média növekvő szerepének, valamint az országon belüli romló biztonságnak és a jogállamiság romlásának.
Az újságírók szabadságát szorgalmazó Freedom Network szerint 2012 és 2022 között 53 újságírót öltek meg hasonló indítékkal, ám csak két elkövetőt büntettek meg. Idén májusban halt meg Naszrullah Gadani, aki híres volt a földbirtokosok számonkéréséről. Testvére, Jakoob Gadani szerint Halid Lund, egy szindhi parlamenti képviselő áll a gyilkosság mögött – a politikus tagadta a vádakat. Gadani halála előtt három nappal egy másik írót, Kamran Davart ölték meg Hajber-Pahtunvhaiban.
Pakisztán egyre rosszabb helyet foglal el a Riporterek Határok Nélkül (Reporters Without Borders) által vezetett World Press Freedom Indexen. 2024-ben a közel-keleti ország két helyet esett vissza, 152. a 180-ból. Leírása szerint az egyik legveszélyesebb ország újságíróknak, évente három-négy olyan gyilkossággal, amelyek korrupcióval vagy emberkereskedelemmel kapcsolatosak, és amelyek elkövetői nem kerülnek törvény elé.

Elfogták szerda este Londonban azt a gyanúsítottat, aki a rendőrség feltételezése szerint megölte a BBC rádió vezető lovassport-kommentátora, John Hunt feleségét és két lányát.
A 61 éves Carol Hunt, a 28 éves Hannah Hunt és a 25 éves Louise Hunt a rendőrség szerdai tájékoztatása szerint előző éjjel vesztette életét számszeríj és valószínűleg egyéb fegyverek okozta sérülések miatt a család északnyugat-londoni otthonában.
A Scotland Yard a hármas gyilkosság ügyében egy 26 éves, Kyle Clifford nevű gyanúsított ellen adott ki körözést.
Cliffordot hatalmas kiterjedésű hajtóvadászat után, szerda este az észak-londoni Enfield kerületben fegyveres rendőri egységek őrizetbe vették.
A rendőrségi tájékoztatás szerint a gyanúsítottat sérülten találták meg és orvosi ellátásban részesítették. Sérüléseinek okát és súlyosságát a közlemény nem részletezi, de azt leszögezi, hogy az elfogás közben nem történt rendőrségi fegyverhasználat.
A rendőrség még az őrizetbe vétel előtt közölte, hogy Cliffordnál valószínűleg fegyverek vannak, és kérte, hogy ha valaki a közreadott fotó alapján felismerni véli a gyanúsítottat, ne közelítse meg, hanem a sürgősségi telefonszámon értesítse a hatóságokat.
A brit védelmi minisztérium szerdán megerősítette azokat a médiaértesüléseket, hogy Clifford 2022-ben rövid ideig a brit hadsereg katonája volt.
Az 58 éves John Hunt, aki korábban a rendőrség kötelékében szolgált, két évtizede a főleg sport- és közéleti műsorokra szakosodott BBC 5 Live rádióállomás lóverseny-közvetítéseinek vezető szakkommentátora.
Számszeríj birtoklásához a jelenlegi brit törvények alapján nem szükséges fegyvertartási engedély, de ilyen fegyverekkel sem lehet közterületen tartózkodni.
Az előző, konzervatív párti brit kormány azonban már megkezdte azt a törvényi felülvizsgálatot, amelynek célja az, hogy a jövőben a számszeríjak birtoklására is kiterjesszék a lőfegyverek tartásához hasonló rendkívül szigorú szabályozást.
Ennek közvetlen előzményeként 2021 karácsonyán a rendőrség elfogott egy számszeríjjal felfegyverkezett férfit a királyi család windsori rezidenciájának nyilvánosan nem látogatható részén, az akkori uralkodó, II. Erzsébet királynő lakosztályának közelében.
Az incidens időpontjában II. Erzsébet és legalább húsz családtagja is a windsori kastélyban tartózkodott, köztük a néhai uralkodó három fia, Károly akkori trónörökös – aki édesanyja 2022-ben bekövetkezett halála után III. Károly néven lépett trónra –, valamint András yorki herceg és Eduárd, Wessex grófja.
Elfogása után a behatoló, az akkor 21 éves Jaswant Singh Chail bevallotta a rendőröknek, hogy a királynőt akarta meggyilkolni.
Chailt tavaly októberben kilenc év szabadságvesztésre ítélték.
