A holland hatóságok péntek reggel letartóztattak egy apeldoorni férfit, aki rálőtt a feje fölött repülő Apache Defense harci helikopterre.
A NU.nl híradása szerint a helikopter a lövés után biztonságosan landolt a közeli repülőtéren, a támadásban senki sem sérült meg. A hatóságok nem közöltek adatokat a támadó személyazonosságáról, csupán azt közölték, hogy a férfinál házkutatást tartanak.

Félautomata fegyverrel támadt egy 37 éves férfi egy 30-40 fős társaságra a nyugat-virginiai Charlestonban, az Egyesült Államokban. Az egyik bulizó, egy nő az engedéllyel tartott fegyverével agyonlőtte, megmentve a barátai életét.
A 37 éves Dennis Butlerre korábban rászóltak, hogy hagyja abba a száguldozást a lakópark környékén, mert gyerekek is játszanak arrafelé, írja a BBC. Később visszatért, és egy félautomata fegyverrel célba vette a csoportot, majd tüzet nyitott a bulizókra. Az egyik bulizó, a nő ezt észrevette, elővette az engedéllye tartott fegyverét, és leterítette az ámokfutót, aki belehalt a sérüléseibe. A támadó büntetett előéletű volt, így legálisan nem kaphatott volna fegyvert. A rendőrség szerint a nő megmentette a társai életét. Nem árulták el a nevét, azt viszont igen, h nincs rendvédelmi múltja, tehát pl. nem rendőr, vagy volt rendőr.
„Törvényesen viselte a fegyverét, és ahelyett, hogy elfutott volna a fenyegetés elől, szembenézett a veszéllyel és több életet is megmentett” – mondta a rendőrségi szóvivő. A nő a lövöldözés után a helyszínen maradt, és együttműködik a nyomozókkal. A rendőrség szerint nem emelnek vádat ellene, jogos önvédelemből lőtt.
Az eset a hét eleji texasi iskolai lövöldözés után történt. Egy tizenéves fegyveres 21 embert – köztük 19 gyereket – ölt meg egy texasi általános iskolában egy legálisan vásárolt félautomata puskával. A támadás, amely az elmúlt évtized legsúlyosabb iskolai lövöldözése volt Amerikában, újból kirobbantotta a fegyverviselésről szóló vitát, amelyet az Egyesült Államok alkotmánya biztosít az amerikai állampolgároknak. Ennél az esetnél viszont életet mentett a nő alkotmányos joga, hogy fegyvert tarthat magánál.

Meg lehetett volna akadályozni? Milyen módszerekkel vagy intézkedéssel lehet ez megtenni? Megismétlődhet a jövőben? Hogyan lehet ezt előre jelezni vagy megakadályozni? Mindezek a kérdések aktuálisak és fájdalmasak, mert egy olyan oktatási intézményről beszélünk, ahol kisgyermekek és tinédzserek tanulnak.
Nézzünk meg egy hasonló helyzetre vonatkozó példát az Egyesült Államokból, ahol az iskolai lövöldözés problémája valószínűleg a legaktuálisabb a világon. Valójában az amerikai kormány évtizedek óta küzd ellene, de az iskolákban újra és újra történtek lőfegyverekkel kapcsolatos tragédiák. De hogyan próbálják meg az Egyesült Államokban megakadályozni az iskolákban a hasonló eseteket, és vajon sikerült-e előrelépniük.
Az Egyesült Államokban évente több tucatnyi iskolai lövöldözés fordul elő. Utoljára május 7-én nyitottak tüzet Idaho államban, vagyis alig egy hete. A hatodik osztályos iskolás lány két gyerekre és egy iskolai alkalmazottra lőtt rá, de sikerült semlegesíteni, mielőtt „bajt okozhatott volna”. 2020-ban az Egyesült Államokban 10 hasonló tragédia történt, 12 ember meghalt. 2019-ben 25 ilyen eset volt, az áldozatok száma elérte az 51-et. Az elhalálozások számának csökkenése azonban nem azt jelenti, hogy jelentős előrelépés történt a probléma megoldásában, hanem csak azt, hogy ezek a koronavírus világjárvány és a távoktatás következményei.
Az Egyesült Államokban az iskolai lövöldözések – csak egy része a fegyveres tömeges gyilkosságok problémájának. A Gun Violence Archive honlapja szerint 2019-ben több mint 400 ember esett áldozatául. Ez az adat csak a tömeggyilkosságok áldozatait tartalmazza, és összességében évente körülbelül 15 000 ember hal meg az Egyesült Államokban lövöldözés során. És ez az adat 2016 óta nem változott.
Amerikai kriminológusok szerint a gyilkosságok száma 2020-ban a harmadára nőtt az előző év azonos időszakához képest, és a jövőben csak növekedni fog a az egymásra halmozódó társadalmi tényezők miatt: a rossz gazdasági helyzet, a koronavírus világjárvány negatív következményei, a rendvédelmi szervek iránti bizalmatlanság és a rendőrök számának csökkentése a problémás körzetekben.
Az tömeges lövöldözések egyik fő okát az Egyesült Államokban a szabad fegyverviselésben látják, amely az amerikai Alkotmányban is rögzítve van. A korlátozás és a szigorúbb ellenőrzés kérdése mindig akkor merül fel, amikor különösen nagy mértékű tömeges lövöldözésre kerül sor, mint például 2017-ben Las Vegasban 59-en vesztették életüket.
A korlátozás tervéről Joe Biden amerikai elnök áprilisban beszélt két, Georgiában és Coloradóban elkövetett tömeggyilkosságot követően, amikor 18 ember vesztette életét: követelte a Kongresszustól, hogy tiltsa meg az országban a nagy kaliberű félautomata fegyverek értékesítését, és zárja be a kötelező ellenőrzést kijátszó „kiskapukat” a fegyvereket vásárlók előtt. Amint azt az amerikai sajtó megjegyezte, a republikánusok nyíltan ellenzik a korlátozások bevezetését. Ezért a Fehér Háznak szinte esélye sincs a törvényeket elfogadtatni az amerikai parlamenttel.
Az országban egyre növekvő erőszak hátterében az oktatási intézmények vezetői, az aktivisták és a helyi hatóságok intézkedéseket dolgoztak ki, amelyek lehetővé teszik a veszély kockázatának csökkentését.
Például legkevesebb 14 amerikai államban vannak olyan iskolák, ahol felfegyverzett tanárok vannak. Annak érdekében, hogy pisztolyt vihessenek be az osztályterembe, a tanárok Ohio államban 3-napos képzésen esnek át: hogyan cselekedjenek különböző helyzetekben – a lövöldözéstől a verekedésig. A nagyvárosoktól távol eső iskolák tanárai azt mondják, hogy vészhelyzet esetében a rendőrség csak 15-20 perc múlva érkezik ki, ezért számukra a fegyver viselése az egyetlen helyes döntés ilyen körülmények között.
Ezt a módszert az egyik legradikálisabbnak nevezik, mivel a tanárok nem tudják mindig megfelelően felmérni a fenyegetettséget, mert nem kaptak teljes értékű képzést. Ezen kívül a tanárok fegyverviselése pszichológiai kockázatokat jelent a tanulók számára, és erőszak-hullámhoz vezethet. Ezért ez a kezdeményezés még nem talált széles körű támogatásra az Egyesült Államokban.
A nehéz helyzetben lévő diákok támogatását tekintik az amerikai iskolákban a lövöldözések elleni küzdelem hagyományos módszerének. Ebben az esetben a nagyobb felelősség hárul az iskolai pszichológusokra, akik azonosíthatják a lehetséges veszélyeket és megelőzhetik a tragédiákat.
Szakértők szerint a lövöldözők közül soknak pszichés problémái és mentális rendellenességei vannak, de nem kapják meg a szükséges kezelést. Ezért nagyon valószínű, hogy valami hasonló történt Kazanyban is.
Az Egyesült Államokban elterjedt módszere a hasonló támadások elleni küzdelemnek az iskolákban tartandó speciális képzés. Az évente 5-6 alkalommal szervezett képzés során a diákoknak be kell tartaniuk a teljes csendet és a tanárok utasításait. A képzést nem jelentik be előre, a diákok nem tudják, hogy ez valós vagy képzelt támadás. Időnként az iskola alkalmazottai támadó szerepkörébe bújnak gumilövedékekkel lövöldözve.
Jelenleg az effajta képzés az Egyesült Államok legtöbb államában kötelező. De az iskolások szülei és a tanárok azt állítják, hogy ezek a gyakorlatok nagyobb kárt okoznak, mint hasznot, mert ennek hátterében a diákoknál pánikrohamok alakulnak ki, néhányuk nem akar visszamenni az iskolába.
A lövöldözések elleni küzdelem legnépszerűbb vagy tipikus módszere az Egyesült Államokban a védelem és az ellenőrzés erősítése az oktatási intézmények bejáratánál. Az Egyesült Államok Nemzeti Oktatási Szövetsége azt ajánlja iskoláknak, hogy ellenőrizzenek mindenkit, az oktatási intézmény épületébe belép. Az osztály- és tantermek ajtóira zárak felszerelését javasolják, amelyeket gyorsan le lehet zárni a fenyegetettség esetében. Az áldozatok számának csökkentését a speciális ajtók felszerelése is szolgálja, amelyeket veszély esetén távirányítással automatikusan lezárhatnak. Ezt szolgálják a már jól ismert térfigyelő kamerák is.
