Mint mondta, senki sem sérült meg, de a hatóságok terrorcselekményként értékelik a Szófiától 50 kilométerre délre Szamokov városának határában történteket.
Szemtanúk öt méter magas lángoszlopról számoltak be, a robbantás helyén pedig egy 40 centiméter mély, három méter átmérőjű kráter keletkezett.
Szafarov szerint a robbanás egyértelműen az úttest és az arra elhajtó autók felé irányult. Hozzátette, hogy a pokolgép nemcsak három kilogramm trotilnak megfelelő robbanószerrel, hanem repeszekkel is megvolt töltve, és éppen akkor robbant fel, amikor a főügyész páncélozott terepjárója elhajtott mellette.
„Nyilvánvaló, hogy a robbanószerkezetet gyilkosságra, nem pedig megfélemlítésre szánták” – hangsúlyozta a főügyész helyettese, aki szerint egy szakszerűen előkészített merényletről van szó. Hozzáfűzte, hogy Gesev és vele utazó családtagjai csak csodával határos módon menekültek meg.
Bulgáriában két év alatt már öt parlamenti választást tartottak.
Gesevet 2019-ben választotta meg a Legfőbb Bírói Tanács a főügyészi posztra még Bojko Boriszov akkori miniszterelnök alatt. Boriszov ellenlábasai azóta több alkalommal is követelték Gesev távozását.

A nagybereznai rendőrség letartóztatott egy 29 éves fiatalembert, aki megpróbálta megölni élettársát, azonban a szomszédok sikeresen megakadályozták ebben. Az áldozatot kórházba szállították, az ügyben eljárás folyik.
Október 23-án a 102-es hívószámra bejelentés érkezett az ungvári járási Viharosról (Viska), miszerint egy férfi rátámadt 27 éves élettársára. Bántalmazta, majd pedig gyúlékony folyadékkal öntötte le és meggyújtotta. A szomszédok, akiket az áldozat gyermeke értesített a történtekről, elfogták a férfit, elsősegélyben részesítették a nőt, majd kórházba szállították. A fiatalasszony testének 40%-a megégett, harmadfokú égési sérülései vannak.
Az ügyben folyik a nyomozás, a férfit előzetes letartóztatásba helyezték.

Az eset 2018 áprilisában történt. A vádlott ellátogatott ismerőséhez, s a balkonon próbált meg bejutni a lakásba. A nő beengedte, s ebben a pillanatban a tettes mellkason szúrta egy késsel. Elmenekült a helyszínről, a nőt pedig kórházba szállították.
Az áldozat a bírósági tárgyaláson elmondta, hogy előző nap vitába keveredtek, s a tettes többször is megfenyegette őt és a gyermekeit. A bíróság bűnösnek találta és 10 év börtönbüntetésre ítélte.
A hírt a megyei ügyészség sajtószolgálata közölte.

Kihallgatásán beismerte tettét az a bébiszitter, aki kilökte két emelet magasból az általa felügyelt 13 hónapos kisfiút. A mozdulatlan, járdán fekvő gyereket a szomszéd vette észre, aki azonnal értesítette a mentőszolgálat munkatársait. A jelenlegi információk szerint a fiú állapota stabilizálódott, de egyelőre nem tudják, meddig tart a kezelése, és felépülésének ideje is bizonytalan.
Nem tudom, miért tettem. Beteg voltam, egyfajta katalepsziám volt – mondta a hatóságoknak a 32 éves nő, hozzátéve: nehéz időszakon ment keresztül, ami miatt azt érezte, „transzba esett”.

Május 31-én bejelentés érkezett a hatóságokhoz az orvosoktól, miszerint a huszti járási kórházba beszállítottak egy nőt szúrt sebbel a mellkasán.
A helyszínre azonnal kiérkezett az operatív csoport, akik kiderítették, hogy a 39 éves áldozat és 35 éves élettársa között vita alakult ki, melynek során a férfi kést rántották és mellkason szúrta a nőt.
A rendőrség letartóztatta a tettest, szándékos gyilkossági kísérlet ügyében indítottak ellene büntetőeljárást.

Egy 20 éves polenai lakost két falubelije ellen elkövetett, előre megfontolt gyilkossági kísérlettel gyanúsítják.
A megyei ügyészség sajtószolgálata szerint az ittas fiatalember egy konfliktus során konyhakéssel megfenyegette és megfélemlítette ismerőseit. Az első esetben az áldozat el tudott menekülni a támadó elől, az azonban utána rohant, és több sérülést is sikerült okoznia a férfinak.
Egy másik alkalommal a fiatalember több sebet ejtett ellenfele mellkasán és hasán. A férfit az időben érkező orvosi ellátásnak köszönhetően sikerült megmenteni.
A hatóságok vizsgálják a bűncselekmények körülményeit. A bíróság elrendelte a 20 éves gyanúsított őrizetbe vételét, 248 000 hrivnya óvadék letétbe helyezésével szabadlábon védekezhet.
