A rakétákat Iránból indították el, amikkel az amerikai konzulátus épületére céloztak Erbílben.
Akár egy tucat rakétát is kilőhettek Iránból vasárnap éjjel az Egyesült Államok konzulátusa felé Erbílben, amit a tisztviselők már megerősítettek. Egyelőre áldozatokról nem érkezett jelentés, bár az iraki és az amerikai tisztviselők eltérő módon számoltak be a súlyos eseményről.
Az amerikai külügyminisztérium szóvivője az AP kérdésére elmondta, felháborító támadásnak tartják, ami történt, amivel az iraki szuverenitást célozták meg. A neve elhallgatását kérő tisztviselő elmondása szerint egyetlen amerikai sem sérült meg a rakétatámadásban, és az új konzulátus épületében sem keletkezett kár, ami jelenleg üresen áll.
A New York Post hozzáteszi, az irakiak szerint akár 12 rakétát is indíthattak Iránból, amikkel a konzulátust vették célba, melyek anyagi kárt okoztak. Nem sokkal éjfél után történt a támadás, és egyelőre az irakiak oldaláról sem számoltak be áldozatokról.
A támadást az iraki kormány és a regionális kurd kormány is vizsgálja. További részleteket nem tettek közzé, az amerikai tisztviselők nem tudták megerősíteni, hogy milyen típusú rakétákat lőttek ki Iránból. A támadás napokkal azután történt, hogy egy izraeli légicsapásban meghalt az iráni Forradalmi Gárda két tagja Damaszkusz közelében Szíriában. Az iráni külügyminisztérium határozottan elítélte a támadást, és bosszút fogadott.
A háttérben egy ideje zajlanak a tárgyalások a 2015-ös iráni atomalkuhoz való esetleges visszatérésről, de pénteken mindenfajta megállapodás nélkül szakadtak meg a tárgyalások Bécsben, miután az újabb orosz követelések megzavarták a párbeszédet. Vasárnap Musztafa al-Kadhimi miniszterelnök is megerősítette a rakétatámadást, amit terrorakciónak nevezett a lakosságuk, a népük ellen.

Legkevesebb 11 ember meghalt kedd este Irakban egy falu elleni támadásban, amelyet az Iszlám Állam (IÁ) dzsihadista szervezet fegyveresei követhettek el az ország keleti részén – jelentette két biztonsági forrás.
A támadás célpontja a Dijála tartománybeli ar-Rasad falu volt, ahol 11 ember meghalt és 13 megsebesült – közölte egy helyi biztonsági forrás.
Egy másik forrás, arra hivatkozva, hogy az áldozatok között civilek is vannak, arról számolt be, hogy a rajtaütés egy olyan település ellen irányult, amelynek lakói között a biztonsági erők számos tagja él. Az első forrás szerint a területet lezárták, és erősítést küldtek átfésüléséhez.
Hét évvel ezelőtt, 2014-ben az IÁ Irakban és a szomszédos Szíriában rendkívül gyorsan hódított meg hatalmas területeket. Három évvel később előbb Irakban sikerült gátat vetni a dzsihadisták előre törésének, majd két évvel később Szíriában. Ennek ellenére a szélsőségesek továbbra is fenyegetést jelentenek, és mindkét országban folytatják a támadásokat.
Szeptember elején az iraki szövetségi rendőrség 13 tagját ölték meg az IÁ emberei az észak-iraki Kirkuk közelében egy ellenőrzőpont elleni támadásban. Az ENSZ 2021 elején közzétett jelentése szerint az IÁ nagyrészt titkosan van jelen Irakban és Szíriában, és a két ország közötti határ mindkét oldalán folyamatos lázadást szít.
A jelentés szerint ebben a két országban a dzsihadista szervezet mintegy tízezer aktív harcost tart fegyverben. Az utolsó nagyszabású támadás, amelynek elkövetését az iraki szélsőséges szervezet vállalta, egy piac ellen történt júliusban a bagdadi Szadrváros síita negyedében lévő piacon. A terrorakciónak mintegy 30 halálos áldozata volt.

A hatósági közleményben azt írták, hogy a biztonsági erők őrizetbe vettek egy fegyveres csoportot, amely megtámadta az al-Kindi kórházat, az iraki főváros egyik legfontosabb ilyen létesítményét.
A forrás szerint mintegy tíz ember hajtotta végre a rajtaütést, de mindegyiküket elfogták. A támadók annak a négy betegnek a családtagjai voltak, akik délután meghaltak, miután egy áramkimaradás miatt leállt a lélegeztetőgép – tette hozzá a nyilatkozó.
Az incidens a bagdadi al-Kindi kórházban, az ország legmodernebb, koronavírusos betegek gyógyítására berendezkedett központjában történt, ahol nagy teljesítményű generátorok is találhatók azért, hogy elkerüljék a gyakori áramkimaradásokat.
A közel-keleti ország kórházaiban gyakran katasztrofális a helyzet, amit az is mutat, hogy három hónapnál rövidebb idő alatt két tűzvész is bekövetkezett.
Az egyik esetben áprilisban, Bagdadban több mint 80 ember halt meg, a másikban pedig múlt hétfőn, az ország déli részén fekvő Nasszírijában legalább 90 ember vesztette életét a keletkezett tűzben.
Minden egyes ilyen iraki tragédia rámutat az alapvető biztonsági szabályok hiányára, a megvesztegethetőségre és a hatóságok mulasztására. Az országban az egészségügy és a villamosenergia-ágazat szétesőben van – írta anyagában az AFP francia hírügynökség.
A koronavírus-járvány kezdete óta Irakban több mint 17 700-an haltak meg a kórban. A napi esetek száma napok óta 8000 és 9500 között ingadozik.

Kigyulladt egy koronavírus-fertőzötteket ellátó kórház a dél-iraki Nasszírija városban, legalább ötven ember meghalt, többen pedig válságos állapotban vannak.
Az INA iraki állami hírügynökség arról számolt be, hogy a lángoló épületből tizenhat beteget épségben ki tudtak menekíteni, valamint számos megégett holttestet kihoztak. A halálos áldozatok között két egészségügyi dolgozó is van.
A tüzet hétfő estére még nem sikerült teljesen eloltani.
A hatvanágyas létesítményben az egészségügyi hatóságok tájékoztatása szerint még zajlanak a kutatási-mentési munkálatok.
Nem kizárt, hogy az áldozatok száma tovább fog emelkedni, több beteget ugyanis egyelőre nem találtak meg.
Nem ez az első ilyen eset Irakban, tavaly áprilisban egy bagdadi járványkórház gyulladt ki, akkor több mint nyolcvanan haltak meg.

Robbanóanyaggal megpakolt drónnal hajtottak végre támadást Irakban az erbíli nemzetközi repülőtéren, a célpont a légikötőben lévő amerikai bázis volt, de senkinek sem esett baja – jelentették hírügynökségek szerdán kurdisztáni forrásokra hivatkozva.
Az éjfél előtt másfél órával végrehajtott támadás idején megszólaltak Erbílben, az iraki Kurdisztán fővárosában lévő amerikai konzulátus szirénái. A támadás miatt felfüggesztették a repülőtéren a légiforgalmat.
A Pentagon közölte, hogy tudomása van a történtekről, és az első információk szerint károk nem keletkeztek. A kurdisztáni terrorellenes hivatal is arról tájékoztatott, hogy emberi áldozatok nem voltak, és anyagi károk sem keletkeztek, csupán annyi történt, hogy lángra kapott a fű, de a tűzoltók eloltották.
Rendszeresek a támadások
A támadás egy nappal az után történt, hogy rakétákkal vették célba az amerikai katonákat az anbári Ain al-Aszad légitámaszponton, és drónnal az Egyesült Államok bagdadi nagykövetségét.
Az év eleje óta közel ötven támadás érte amerikai érdekeltségeket Irakban, ahol 2500 amerikai teljesít szolgálatot az Iszlám Állam dzsihadista szervezet ellen harcoló nemzetközi koalíció kötelékében. Féltucatnyi támadást drónokkal hajtottak végre. A drónos támadások április közepén kezdődtek, és komoly fejtörést okoznak a koalíciós erőknek, mivel a drónok el tudják kerülni az amerikai katonák védelmére telepített C-RAM légvédelmi ütegeket.
A drónos támadások elkövetését eddig senki sem vállalta magára, de a végrehajtás módja az Irán-barát fegyveresek módszereire emlékeztet, és Washington is őket teszi felelőssé.

Az éjszaka megszólaltak a szirénák az erős védelem alatt álló bagdadi diplomáciai negyedben, az úgynevezett zöld zónában, ahol az amerikai nagykövetség is van. Egy amerikai légvédelmi üteg lelőtt keddre virradóra egy drónt, amely az Egyesült Államok bagdadi nagykövetségét vette célba–közölték biztonsági források.
Az AFP tudósítója szerint működésbe lépett a C-Ram amerikai légvédelmi rendszer, sorozatvetői kilőttek egy repülő alkalmatosságot, feltehetően egy drónt. Az incidensben senkinek sem esett baja. Az Irán által támogatott fegyveresek újabban előszeretettel hajtanak végre ilyen támadásokat az országban. Az év eleje óta 47 támadás érte amerikai érdekeltségeket Irakban, ahol 2500 amerikai teljesít szolgálatot az Iszlám Állam dzsihadista szervezet ellen harcoló nemzetközi koalíció kötelékében. Hat támadást drónokkal hajtottak végre. Az ilyen támadások április közepén kezdődtek, és komoly fejtörést okoznak a koalíciós erőknek, mivel a drónok et tudják kerülni az amerikai katonák védelmére telepített C-RAM légvédelmi ütegeket. A támadások elkövetését eddig senki sem vállalta magára, de a végrehajtás módja az Irán-barát fegyveresek módszereire emlékeztet. Jemenben például a Teherán által támogatott húszi lázadók hajtottak végre ilyen támadásokat a kormányerőket támogató Szaúd-Arábia területét célozva.

Drónokkal támadták a bagdadi amerikai nagykövetség épületét, több támaszpontot, iraki katonai konvojokat, a bagdadi és az erbíli nemzetközi repülőteret. A támadásokkal Irán által támogatott iraki fegyveres csoportokat vádolt meg Washington.

Rakétatámadás érte az iraki Anbar tartománybnan található Ain Al-Aszad légi bázist, ahol a térség amerikai katonái is szoktak állomásozni.
A Sputnik hírügynökség beszámolója szerint az Egyesült Államok vezette koalíció egyik helyi főhadiszállását két rakéta is érte, ám egy üres udvarrészre zuhant mindkettő.
Wayne Marotto, a koalíció szóvivője elmondta, hogy a támadás során ugyan személyi sérülés nem történt, viszont a hangárban történt károkozás, ezért vizsgálják az esetet.
Egyelőre a támadásért nem vállalta fel senki a felelősséget, és a katonai koalíció megerősítette, hogy mivel a támadás idején nem tartózkodtak a bázison, mindenki megúszta sérülés nélkül.
Irakban az elmúlt idők során ismételten növekedni kezdtek a lokális feszültségek, február közepén például az Erbil légi bázist érte rakétatámadás, melynek következtében egy ember meghalt és legalább kilencen megsérültek.
Azért a támadásért egy kisebb siíta milícia vállalta a felelősséget, amely nem volt összefüggésbe hozható nagyobb szervezetekkel. Nechirvan Brazani, az iraki kurdok vezetője akkor felkérte az ENSZ-t és az ENSZ Biztonsági Tanácsát, hogy tegyenek meg többet a régió védelméért.

Irakban, Erbíl repülőtere közelében dróntámadás érte szerda éjjel az Egyesült Államok vezette szövetség külföldi csapatainak támaszpontját – jelentette a kurdisztáni régió belügyminisztériuma.
A drón TNT robbanóanyagot dobott le a bázisra, aminek következtében azonban személyi sérülés nem történt, és mindössze egy épület kapott lángra. Dróntámadás ugyanakkor ezelőtt még sohasem érte a támaszpontot, jóllehet rakétákkal már többször lőtték.
A támadás elkövetőjeként eddig nem jelentkezett semmilyen szervezet. Irakban több olyan milícia is tevékenykedik, amely Irán támogatását élvezi, és amely a külföldi katonák távozását követeli.

Irakban, egy vidéki térségben két rakéta zuhant egy katonai bázis közelében, ahol amerikai katonák állomásoznak. Az iraki hadsereg kijelentette, veszteségről és sérültekről nem érkezett jelentés.
Az előzetes vizsgálat adatai szerint a támadás célpontja a Bagdadtól északra fekvő Balad légitámaszpont volt, rakéták Al-Bu-Asi településen zuhantak le. Jelenleg senki sem vállalta a felelősséget, de az amerikai tisztviselők többnyire az Irán által támogatott fegyvereseket vádolják lövöldözéssel.
Az Iránhoz kötődő katonai csoportok azt követelik, hogy az összes külföldi csapat hagyja el Irakot. Jelenleg körülbelül 2500 amerikai katona tartózkodik az országban.
Az Egyesült Államok vezette koalíció célja az Iszlám Állam fegyveresei elleni küzdelem. Iránban tartózkodik egy a NATO irányítása alatt lévő misszió, amely az iraki biztonsági erők kiképzésével foglalkozik.
