В Індії у неділю, 4 червня, вдруге за 14 місяців обвалився підвісний міст, вартість будівництва якого становить близько 200 млн доларів. Міст на чотири смуги будувався через річку Ганг у районі Бхагалпур у східному штаті Біхар, який вважається найбіднішим штатом країни. Як інформує Reuters, одна людина вважається зниклою безвісти.
„Тут був сильний вибух, було таке відчуття, що стався вибух. Пізніше ми дізналися, що міст обвалився”, — розповів журналістам місцевий житель Ракеш Кумар.
За даними партнера Reuters агенції ANI, під час обвалення мосту в неділю на ньому перебувало вісім людей, один охоронець вважається зниклим безвісти.
На кадрах ANI видно, що частина мосту частково занурена у воду, і лише деякі опори та кабелі, що стирчать, вказують на те, де колись стояла ця частина споруди.
Як розповів заступник голови районної адміністрації Аміт Радж, провели розслідування, про результати якого доповіли голові районної адміністрації.
Головний міністр штату Біхар Нітіш Кумар, виступаючи перед журналістами в понеділок, пообіцяв „суворі заходи”.
„Він побудований неправильно, тому і руйнується. Його треба було зробити міцнішим”, — сказав посадовець.
За даними ЗМІ, будівництво мосту було заплановано завершити у 2019 році, але воно неодноразово затримувалося, в тому числі через руйнування 30 квітня 2022 року через сильний вітер і дощ. Міст почали будувати ще у 2014 році, проте термін завершення будівництва мосту зривався вісім разів, пише видання The Hindu.

У суботу вдень під час шоу розбилися два літаки часів Другої світової війни.
На авіашоу в Далласі в повітрі зіткнулися винищувач та бомбардувальник. Унаслідок цього обидва літаки часів Другої світової війни були повністю знищені, ніхто з пасажирів, які перебували на борту, не вижив. Проте на землі не постраждала жодна людина.
Згідно з повідомленнями, літаки, які брали участь у шоу, летіли над автострадою до трав’янистої зони аеропорту Далласа на високій швидкості. Аж раптом винищувач зробив різкий поворот зліва направо й навпіл розрізав фюзеляж бомбардувальника за крилом. Унаслідок зіткнення винищувач розлетівся на частини, а пошкоджений бомбардувальник врізався в землю й вибухнув, пише RTL.
Пілот одномісного винищувача та екіпаж чотиримоторного бомбардувальника не вижили. Поки що точно невідомо, скільки людей було на борту бомбардувальника. Зазвичай літаком керують два пілоти, крім них, на борту, як правило, перебувають 2–3 людини.

“Енергодар на грані гуманітарної катастрофи, бо обстріли руйнують цивільну інфраструктуру та електромережі. Місто без газу вже пів року, постійно перебої з електрикою, водовідведенням та водопостачанням. Велике питання щодо опалювального сезону, він під великим питанням”, – сказав він.
Орлов нагадав, що Енергодар має централізовану систему опалення і вона йде від ТЕС, яка через військові дії не працює з весни, і від ЗАЕС, яка перебуває в режимі зупину.

Згідно зі списком пасажирів, на борту літака перебував Райнер Шаллер, засновник і генеральний директор найбільшої в Німеччині мережі тренажерних залів McFit. Він подорожував зі своєю подругою, дітьми та ще однією людиною. Представник мережі підтвердив, що бізнесмен був на борту літака, повідомляє Deutsche Welle.
Райнер Шаллер потрапив у заголовки газет у 2010 році після катастрофи на фестивалі електронної музики «Парад кохання» в Дуйсбурзі. Тоді 21 людина загинула, а 511 зазнали поранень. Бізнесмен був власником компанії, яка організовувала захід. Після трагедії Шаллер заявив про закриття фестивалю.

За даними британської благодійної організації з охорони культурної та природної спадщини National Trust, десятки тисяч морських птахів можуть загинути через пташиний грип в одному з найважливіших природних середовищ Великобританії – заповіднику на островах Фарн у Північному морі. Організація назвала цю ситуацію безпрецедентним екологічним лихом.
Природоохоронці вже зібрали понад три тисячі тушок птахів, щоб спалити їх та запобігти поширенню інфекції. Водночас спеціалісти побоюються, що багато тисяч ослаблених, хворих птахів упали зі скель у море.
Всесвітньо важливе середовище існування птахів, розташоване вздовж узбережжя графства Нортумберленд у північно-східній частині Англії, є домівкою для 23 видів та 200 тисяч птахів. Пташиний грип найбільше заражає види, які гніздяться на скелях. Серед тушок, зібраних екологами, особливо багато люмка, тупика та крячка.
Серед мертвих птахів було виявлено кілька окільцьованих, зокрема 8-річного полярного крячка, який за своє життя здійснив 8 польотів до Антарктиди й назад, подолавши загалом 230 тисяч кілометрів. Знайшли також труп 16-річної чайки, окільцьованої тут у 2006 році.
«Острови перебувають під наглядом National Trust уже майже сто років, але досі не було жодних записів про те, щоб колонії морських птахів коли-небудь потрапляли в таку велику небезпеку», – повідомив Саймон Лі, директор заповідника.
National Trust звернувся до уряду за допомогою в боротьбі з епідемією.
Щороку 45 тисяч людей відвідують острови Фарн, але з початку липня вони закриті для туристів через епідемію пташиного грипу.

Упродовж майже трьох місяців захоплення та окупації Маріуполя жителі ховали загиблих на подвір’ях біля будинків, що знаходяться поряд з комунікаціями водопостачання та водовідведення. Могили переважно не дуже глибокі – майже на поверхні. Про це повідомила Уповноважена Верховної Ради з прав людини.
Вона додала, що після запуску пошкоджених систем водопостачання, вода вилилася на поверхню землі та почала розмивати стихійні поховання – внаслідок цього виникла висока загроза потрапляння трупної отрути, бактерій, мікобактерій туберкульозу та інших збудників хвороб, які могли бути у померлого, у водопровідну систему, підземні джерела та у річки з морем.
„Враховуючи, що фільтраційні системи та насосні станції для перекачування каналізаційних стоків також пошкоджені окупантами, питна вода змішується зі стоками з каналізації й стає непридатною для споживання”, – йдеться в повідомленні.
Денісова зазначила, що російські загарбники перетворили місто на сміттєзбірник, оскільки побутове сміття нічим вивезти вже два місяці, його почали викидати поряд з будинками. За її словами, частина сміття затоплена водою з пошкоджених труб водопостачання та від дощів, що призводить до росту патогенних бактерій, які потім потрапляють до ґрунтових вод, річок та моря.
„Також, через розірвані ракети та авіабомби, ґрунти, підземні води в місті забруднені хімічними речовинами та важкими металами, що призводить до небезпечного для людини і довкілля накопичення канцерогенного сміття. Це загрожує масовими отруєнням та епідемією інфекційних хвороб для маріупольців, а наслідки для довкілля будуть проявлятися роками не лише в Україні, а й за її межами”, — наголосила омбудсменка.
Денісова зазначила, що дії окупантів є порушенням чотирьох женевських конвенцій 1949 року та додаткових протоколів до них (в тому числі Протоколу № 1 від 1977 року) та є геноцидом українського народу відповідно до статті 6 Римського статуту міжнародного кримінального суду.
