Némi kétséget vetett fel egyes oltóanyagok hatékonyságával szemben az, hogy több mint 350, a Sinovac kínai vakcinával átoltott indonéz orvos közül valaki elkapta a Covid–19-vírus újabb variánsát, több tucatnyian közülük még kórházi ápolásra is szorultak – jelentette helyi hatóságokra hivatkozva a The Guardian.
Az orvosok többsége tünetmentesen, és önkéntes karanténban várta ki a negatív teszteredményét. Azonban több tucat közülük kórházba került magas láz, vagy csökkenő véroxigénszint miatt.Közülük majdnem mindenkit a kínai Sinovac oltóanyagával oltottak be az Indonéz Egészségügyi Szervezet (IDI) szerint.
A 270 millió fős országban a fertőzőbb, indiai variáns okoz gondot. Ázsiában itt az egyik legrosszabb a járvány terjedése: eddig 1,9 millióan fertőződtek meg, és 53 ezren elhunytak a kórban.Az indonéz egészségügyben is szedte áldozatait a Covid-19, eddig 946 orvos vagy ápoló életét követelte.
Egész Indonéziában eddig 5 orvos és 1 ápoló halt meg úgy koronavírusban, hogy előtte beoltották őket a Sinovac vakcinájával. Igaz, egy közülük csupán az első vakcinadózisán volt túl.

A gyermekbénulás elleni oltást végző orvosokat támadták meg Afganisztán keleti részén, öt ember meghalt – számolt be az UNN az AFP-re hivatkozva.
A támadás Nangarhar tartományban történt, „az alaposan megtervezett támadás” eredményeként három helyszínen lőtték le a medikusokat.
Farid Khan, a tartományi rendőrség szóvivője szerint ez a tálibok műve, az orvosok ellen irányul, hogy „megfosszák az embereket a gyermekbénulás elleni oltástól”, mivel a tartományban leállították az oltási kampányt.

A koronavírus elleni vakcináról szóló téma továbbra is aktuális, mind a lakosság, mind pedig az országok kormányainak ülésén. Az embereket nem csak az oltásfolyamat tempója, hanem következményei is kétségekkel töltik el.
Mind a polgárok, mind pedig az országok vezetősége aggódik az esetleges oltás utáni haláleset miatt, azonban a szakértők továbbra is azt állítják, hogy csak ezzel vethetünk véget a járványnak.
Május 3-án hozták nyilvánosságra a hírt, miszerint Ausztriában eddig 92 személy vesztette életét az oltás után: 79-en a Pfizer/Biontech, hatan a Moderna, heten pedig az AstraZeneca vakcinák után hunytak el.
Az oltáskampány az országban az elmúlt év decemberében kezdődött meg. Az állampolgárok a fent említett három oltóanyagból választhatnak.

Tunéziában háromnapos munkabeszüntetést kezdtek hétfőn az orvosok megbénítva ezzel a koronavírus elleni oltási kampányt, miközben az észak-afrikai államban egyre növekszik a fertőzöttek száma.
A sztrájk miatt lényegében leálltak az állami kórházak a vészhelyzeti ellátást leszámítva. Az oltóközpontok előtt hosszú sorok alakultak ki.
Az orvosok és gyógyszerészek tunéziai szakszervezete ugyanis vitában áll az ország egészségügyi minisztériumával az egészségügyi ellátórendszer finanszírozása, szerződései és az orvosi hivatást szabályozó törvény tervezett módosítása miatt.
Az egészségügyi tárca felszólította az orvosokat, hogy hagyjanak fel a sztrájkkal, és térjenek vissza a tárgyalóasztalhoz, amíg dűlőre nem tudnak jutni a vitás kérdésekben.
A minisztérium hangsúlyozta, hogy az oltási kampány elsőbbséget élvez a jelenlegi körülmények között, amikor az ország a járvány harmadik hullámával néz szembe. Hozzátette, hogy a munkabeszüntetés mintegy 40 ezer ember beoltását érinti.
A két hónapja indult oltási kampány során eddig 415 ezer ember kapta meg valamelyik vakcina legalább első dózisát, 10 ezren közülük pedig már a másodikat is.
A hozzávetőleg 12 millió lakosú országban a járvány kitörése óta 311 743 fertőzöttet azonosítottak, akik közül 10 868-an hunytak el a kórban.

„Maszkosak vagyunk, de nem hülyék!” – nyugdíjas érdekképviseletek felhívására több mint 200 nyugdíjas vonult szerdán az utcára Párizsban, hogy felszólaljanak a nyugdíjemelés és az időskorúak beoltásának felgyorsítása érdekében, írja az Origo a Le Figaro cikkére hivatkozva.
A párizsi idős emberek arra panaszkodtak, hogy a közhiedelemmel ellentétben nincs „idilli nyugdíjas életük”, mert a nyugdíjak elveszítették vásárlóértéküket, mivel a francia nyugdíjak emelésének mértéke nem követi az inflációt.
Ezért a hangos demonstrálók követelték a nyugdíjak azonnali emelését legalább 100 euróval, majd további 200 euróval hosszabb távon.
Az idős tüntetők az oltási kampány lassúságára is felhívták a figyelmet, és arra, hogy a nyugdíjak és az oltáshoz való hozzáférés területén a nyugdíjasok ellen komoly diszkrimináció folyik.
„Csökkenő nyugdíjak? Növekvő feszültségek!”, „Elég a nyomorból!”, „Vakcinát mindenkinek!”, „A nyugdíjasok nem gazdagok!” – hirdették a párizsi nyugdíjasok a tüntetésre készített transzparenseiken.

A kelet-afganisztáni Dzsalalábádban kedden – mindössze egy nappal azután, hogy megkezdődött az oltási kampány második szakasza a dél-ázsiai országban – agyonlőtték a fertőző gyermekbénulás elleni oltókampány három munkatársát két támadásban.
Egy magas rangú tisztségviselő az EFE spanyol hírügynökségnek elmondta, hogy a merénylők két különböző kerületben is lecsaptak Nangarhar tartomány székhelyén, majd a lövöldözés után kereket oldottak.
Az afgán egészségügyi minisztérium egy magas rangú illetékese szerint a három nőre aközben támadtak rá, hogy házról házra jártak az oltási kampány keretében. Volt egy harmadik incidens is, amelynek során robbanás történt egy oltóosztály közelében, bár senki sem sérült meg, csak anyagi károk keletkeztek.
Asraf Gáni afgán elnök elítélte a történteket, úgy fogalmazott: „az orvosok, egészségügyi dolgozók és olyan köztisztviselők elleni támadások, akik gyerekek életeit mentik meg és egészségügyi szolgáltatásokat nyújtanak, terrorista cselekmények, borzalmasak, nincs mentség rájuk”. Ugyanakkor úgy vélte, hogy az ilyen támadásokkal
a tálibok és egyéb terrorista csoportok nem törhetik meg az afgán nők eltökéltségét és az ország jövőjébe vetett hitét.
A támadásért senki sem vállalta a felelősséget.
Az egészségügyi tárca hétfőn indította el a fertőző gyermekbénulás elleni oltási kampány második szakaszát,
amelynek célja 9,6 millió, öt éves kor alatti gyerek beoltása a dél-ázsiai országban, ahol Pakisztánnal együtt a világon utolsóként a betegség még jelen van. A hatóságok azt tervezik, hogy öt körben oltják be a gyerekeket 34 tartományban, a rossz biztonsági helyzetnek, illetve annak ellenére, hogy a tálibok nem engedélyezik az oltókampányt az ellenőrzésük alatt álló területeken.
Afganisztánban tavaly több mint 350 fertőző gyermekbénulásos esetet jegyeztek fel, ami az elmúlt évtized legnagyobb növekedésének számít az esetek számát tekintve.

Március 24-én Csernyivciben meghalt egy férfi, akit korábban koronavírus ellen oltottak be. Az előzetes adatok szerint a halál oka akut stroke (agyvérzés) volt, számolt be az egészségügyi minisztérium sajtószolgálata.
„Március 24-én 7 óra 10 perckor a katonai kórház gyógyszerészének halálát regisztrálták Csernyivci 3-as számú városi klinikai kórházában. Az előzetes információk szerint a halál oka – akut stroke (agyvérzés) volt” – áll a közleményben. A férfi súlyos, krónikus szív- és érrendszeri, cukor- és egyéb krónikus betegségekben szenvedett. A Csernyivci megyei egészségügyi főosztály információja szerint március 15-én a férfit a Covishield/AstraZeneca oltóanyaggal oltották be koronavírus ellen.
„A katonai kórház alkalmazottainak beoltását mobil csoport végezte. Március 16-án 17 óra 25 perckor a férfit a mentők a 3. számú városi klinikai kórházba szállították, ahol korábban agyvérzéssel kezelték” – áll a közleményben. Egyben kiemelték, hogy a férfinak nem voltak ellenjavallatai az oltás kapcsán. A vakcinálás előtt a férfi jól érezte magát, és egészségi állapotára nem panaszkodott.
„Ugyanezen a napon további 9 embert oltottak be ugyanabból az oltóanyagot tartalmazó üvegből. Az immunizálás után a többi beoltott nem tapasztalt kellemetlen tüneteket” – áll a közleményben.

Szlovákiában a Covid–19-vakcina feltételezett mellékhatásairól összesen 631 bejelentést regisztráltak, melyből 19 esetet a Pfizer jelzett, a többit betegek, orvosok, gyógyszerészek és más egészségügyi dolgozók – jelentette az Állami Gyógyszerellenőrzési Hivatal szóvivője, Magdaléna Jurkemíková.
A bejelentések szerint egy fertőzött halála és még 31 súlyos eset köthető koronavírus-védőoltásokhoz.
A Pfizer–BioNTech vakcinájával, a Comirnatyval kapcsolatban 627, a Covid–19 Vaccine Modernával összefüggésben pedig négy bejelentés érkezett, írta az Ujszo.com.
A szóvivő szerint a bejelentések döntő többsége rövid távú, nem súlyos mellékhatásokra hívta fel a figyelmet; például váll- és végtagfájdalom, láz, hidegrázás, fejfájás, izom- és ízületi fájdalom, hányinger. Az ilyen tünetek enyhe vagy közepes intenzitásúak, és néhány órán vagy napon belül megszűnnek.
A súlyos mellékhatások között szerepelhet például allergiás reakció, trombózis vagy anafilaxiás, azaz teljes szervezetet érintő túlérzékenységi reakció is.

Megfertőződött a koronavírus brit mutációjával egy németországi idősotthon 14 lakója, akik már mind megkapták a vírus elleni védőoltás mindkét adagját – jelentette vasárnap a Norddeutscher Rundfunk (NDR) regionális közszolgálati médiatársaság.
A beszámoló szerint az Osnabrück mellett fekvő Belmben működő otthon lakói január 25-én kapták meg a második adagot a Pfizer-BioNTech vakcinából, majd február 2-án az egyik dolgozó gyorstesztje pozitív lett, ezért az összes lakót és a teljes személyzetet letesztelték. A minták elemzésével kimutatták, hogy 14 beoltott lakó szervezetébe bejutott a fertőzőképesebb brit mutáció.
Egyelőre csak tünetmentes, vagy a vírus okozta betegség enyhe tüneteit mutató fertőzöttet találtak az idősotthonban. Ez a kedvező fejlemény az oltás jótékony hatásának tulajdonítható – nyilatkozott Burkhard Riepenhoff, a járási közigazgatási hivatal szóvivője.
