Lezuhant egy Szu-30-as vadászrepülőgép szombaton egy gyakorlórepülés közben Kalinyingrád orosz exklávéjában, a fedélzeten tartózkodó két pilóta életét vesztette – közölte a Reuters a RIA orosz hírügynökségre és a védelmi minisztérium közleményére hivatkozva.
„A Szu-30-as repülőgép egy elhagyatott területen zuhant le. A gyakorlórepülést lőszer nélkül hajtották végre. A repülőgép legénysége meghalt” – áll a minisztérium közleményében. A közlemény szerint, a balesetet nagy valószínűséggel műszaki hiba okozta. A védelmi minisztérium az ügyben más információt nem tett közzé.
Kalinyingrád egy orosz exklávé, amely Lengyelország és Litvánia – mindkét NATO-tag – között található a Balti-tengeren.
LEgutobb tavaly október végén zuhant le gyakorlás közben egy SZU-30-as vadászgép. A katonai repülőgép a szibériai Irkutszk városában zuhant lakóépületekre, a két pilóta életét vesztette. A gép akkor egy kétszintes házra zuhant. Az Aerotech.hu cikke szerint, az orosz Szuhoj a Szu-30 Flanker kétüléses vadászbombázót annak a Szu-27-es elfogó vadászgépnek az alapjain fejlesztette ki, melynek prototípusa 1977-ben emelkedett első alkalommal a levegőbe az amerikai F-15 Eagle harci gépre adott szovjet válaszként. A Szu-30-as igazi többfunkciós vadászbombázó, mely légi és földi célpontok ellen egyaránt alkalmazható.

A Szu–24 a Szovjetunióban, a Szuhoj Tervezőirodában az 1960-as években kifejlesztett kétüléses, két hajtóműves, változtatható szárnynyilazású, szuperszonikus vadászbombázó repülőgép. Az 1970-es és az 1980-as években a Szovjetunió alapvető frontbombázó repülőgépe volt. Néhány fejlődő országba exportálták, és több szovjet utódállam is üzemelteti.
Az ukrán vezérkar tájékoztatása szerint a háború kezdete óta az ukrán fegyveres erők 266 orosz repülőgépet és 235 helikoptert semmisítettek meg.

Ez pedig azért volt kifejezetten aggasztó Ukrajna számára, mert ezek a vadászgépek képesek arra, hogy hosszú távú atomfegyvereket is szállítsanak, illetve felhasználjanak, így belorusz területről is el tudna találni ukrán célpontokat.
Ráadásul a jelenlegi feszült helyzetben, amely Ukrajna és Oroszország között van, minden egyes ilyen hadművelet komoly aggodalmat tud gerjeszteni. Már csak azért is, mert Moszkva nem volt rest a távol-keleti bázisokról áthozni csapatait, csak azért, hogy Ukrajnánál legyenek.
Oroszország és Fehéroroszország februárban közös hadgyakorlaton fog részt venni, azonban sokan attól tartanak, hogy ez lehet az invázió megindításának ideje. A Kreml folyamatosan tagadja, hogy katonai offenzívára készülne, a jelentős seregszám azonban nem erről árulkodik.

A kifutópályán álló helyzetben katapultált két pilóta a Szu-30SzM típusú orosz vadászgépből Krímen – közölték szombaton orosz hírügynökségek katonai forrásokra hivatkozva.
Az eset előző napon délután történt a Szaki légi támaszponton. A pilótákat felszállás előtt röpítette ki a katapult. Mindketten életben maradtak, de a repülőgép-technikus égési sérüléseket szenvedett.
Különbizottság vizsgálja a katapultrendszer meghibásodásának okait. A Szu-30 (NATO-besorolás szerint Flanker-C) orosz kétpilótás sokcélú nehéz vadászgép, ennek modern változata a Szu-30SzM, amellyel Oroszország és számos külföldi ország légi erejét fegyverezik fel.
Az orosz légi- és űrerők 2012-től 2018 májusáig 84 ilyen vadászgépet kaptak, a haditengerészetnél pedig húszat állítottak hadrendbe.
