Halálra késeltek a barátai egy férfit Portugáliában egy veszélyes internetes kihívás teljesítése közben. Az úgynevezett Kék Bálna-kihívásban a résztvevőknek egyre veszélyesebb, önkárosítással járó feladatot kell teljesíteniük, míg a végén öngyilkosságot kell elkövetniük. A portugál rendőrség vizsgálja az esetet, egy férfit gyanúsítottként vettek őrizetbe.
Újabb halálesetet kapcsoltak össze a veszélyes Kék Bálna nevű internetes kihívással.
Egy baráti társaság Portugáliában nyaralt, és Pedrogao Grande város közelében, egy erdőben a Kék Bálna-kihívást próbálták teljesíteni. A társaság tagjai összevesztek, és halálra késelték egyik barátjukat. A rendőrség másnap reggel fedezte fel a 35 éves, brit áldozat holttestét az erdőben, egy eldugott területen.
Egy 26 éves, szintén brit férfi az eset után feladta magát, és beismerte, hogy ő követte el a halálos késelést.
A portugál rendőrség nyomozói három férfit és két nőt hallgattak ki, köztük a gyilkosság fő gyanúsítottját.
A baráti társaság feltehetően egy partin vett részt mielőtt az erdőbe indultak, hogy teljesítsék a kihívást.
A veszélyes játék 2015 végén indult Oroszországból. Aki elfogadja a kihívást, annak ötven nap alatt ötven egyre nehezebb és veszélyesebb, önkárosítással járó feladatot kell teljesítenie. Az utolsó feladatban a játékosoknak meg kell ölniük magukat.
A hatóságok szerint világszerte több száz haláleset hozható összefüggésbe a Kék Bálna-kihívással, amelynek a megalkotói ellen büntetőeljárás indult Oroszországban.

Több ezer hektáron pusztítanak az erdőtüzek Portugáliában. Hétfő éjjel már 800 ember vett részt a déli Odemira város közelében tomboló tűzvész felszámolásában, és több mint 1400 embert kellett evakuálni. Legalább kilenc tűzoltó megsérült a tűzzel való küzdelem közben.
A tűz Odemira közelében kezdődött szombaton. A lángokat az erős szél délre, Algarve, Portugália fő turisztikai régiója felé sodorta.
A tűzvész eddig mintegy 6700 hektárnyi területet pusztított el, miközben összesen 19 falut, négy turistaszállást és egy kempinget kellett evakuálni miatta. A város polgármestere, Helder Guerreiro kritikusnak nevezte a helyzetet – írja a BBC.
Az ország középső részén több autópálya-szakaszt le kellett zárni, köztük az A1-es út Lisszabon és Porto közötti szakaszát.
A tűzoltás támogatására összesen tizenhat vízibombázó repülőgépet vetettek be
Spanyolországban több száz hektárnyi területet felperzselő három nagy kiterjedésű tüzet sikerült megfékezni hétvégén, de az ország nagy részén továbbra is időjárási riasztás van érvényben.

Hatalmas erdőtűz pusztít Portugáliában, kedd délután óta több száz tűzoltó a helyiek segítségével próbálja megfékezni a lángokat a Sintra-Cascais nemzeti park környékén, amely a népszerű Cascais nyaralóhely közelében található – közölték a helyi hatóságok.
Az erdőtűz helyi idő szerint kedd délután 5 órakor kezdődött a Lisszabontól nyugatra található, mintegy 56 négyzetkilóméteren elterülő Sintra-Cascais nemzeti park területén. Az oltáshoz 189 autóval vonult ki több mint 600 tűzoltó, és nappal repülőről is próbálják megfékezni a lángokat.
Az egyik környékbeli falu lakói is segítenek a tűzoltásban, vödrökből és tömlőkből locsolva próbálják megállítani a szél által felszított erdőtüzet.
„Attól félünk, hogy a tűz eléri a házakat. Amennyire csak tudunk próbálunk segíteni az oltásban, de vödrökkel ez nem sokat ér” – mondta egy helyi lakos.
A hatóságok szerint nem rongálódott meg egy ház sem, és komolyabb sérülés sem történt. Cascais polgármestere, Carlos Carreiras szerint az egyik legnagyobb kihívást az akár óránkénti 60 kilóméteres széllökések jelentik, ezért elővigyázatosságból több embert is kitelepítettek.
Az uniós adatok szerint Portugáliát idén még elkerülte az Európa déli felén pusztító, halálos áldozatokat is követelő hőhullám, de az országban tavaly az erdőtüzek mintegy 85 ezer hektáron pusztítottak, Portugália területének csaknem egy százalékán, ami a legmagasabb arány az Európai Unióban.

Mintegy egy tonna, Latin-Amerikából származó kokaint foglaltak le egy, az Atlanti-óceánon hajózó vitorláson – közölte csütörtökön a portugál haditengerészet és a bűnügyi rendőrség.
Artur Vaz, a portugál bűnügyi rendőrség kábítószerellenes részlegének igazgatója közölte, hogy a vitorlást szerdára virradó éjjel, a portugál partoktól mintegy 370 kilométerre állították meg.
A rendőrség átkutatta a jachtot, és őrizetbe vette a rajta tartózkodó egyetlen személyt, egy ötvenhárom éves külföldi férfit – közölte a portugál haditengerészet. A lengyel zászló alatt közlekedő jachtot, amely átkelt az Atlanti-óceánon, a Lisszabontól délre fekvő haditengerészeti támaszpontra kísérték.
A portugál hatóságok szerint a kábítószert több európai országban kívánták értékesíteni.
Artur Vaz hangsúlyozta, hogy jelenleg hatalmas drogszállítmányok érkeznek Európába, elsősorban kokain és hasis, a kokaincsempészet főleg konténerekben zajlik.
