Rudy Giuliani, Donald Trump volt amerikai elnök korábbi ügyvédje A The New York Times című amerikai napilapnak nyilatkozó, nevük elhallgatását kérő források azt mondták, hogy a hatóság emberei szerdán reggel kutatták át a 76 éves, volt New York-i polgármester Madison Avenue-n található lakását és a Park Avenue-n lévő irodáját, majd lefoglalták elektronikus eszközeit.
A házkutatásokról elsőként hírt adó The New York Times szerint a házkutatás legalább részben összefügg azzal a nyomozással, amely azt hivatott kideríteni, hogy Giuliani folytatott-e illegális lobbitevékenységet ukrán tisztviselők nevében a Trump-adminisztráció idején. Sajtóinformációk szerint ezek a tisztviselők segítették Giulianit abban is, hogy Donald Trump politikai riválisaira – köztük az akkori demokrata elnökjelöltre, Joe Bidenre – nézve terhelő bizonyítékok után kutasson.
Giuliani ügyvédje, Robert Costello újságíróknak kifejtette: szükségtelen volt a házkutatás, mert – mint fogalmazott – védence felajánlotta, hogy válaszol az ügyészek kérdéseire, “kivéve azokat, amelyek a volt elnökkel folytatott személyes beszélgetésekre vonatkoznak.” Costello “jogi bűncselekménynek” nevezte a szerdai történéseket és feltette a kérdést: “miért tesznek ilyet bárkivel, nem beszélve egy ügyvédről, aki New York város polgármestere és az Egyesült Államok 45. elnökének személyes ügyvédje volt?”.
Costello a Fox televíziónak nyilatkozva szerdán este a házkutatás részleteiről is beszámolt. Mint mondta: a nyomozók reggel hatkor jelentek meg Giuliani manhattani lakásában, és mintegy két órán keresztül tartózkodtak ott. A házkutatás során több laptopot, mobiltelefonokat és egyéb elektronikus eszközöket foglaltak le. “Úgy tettek, mintha bűnözővel állnának szemben” – fogalmazott Costello.
Az ügyvéd a konzervatív The Wall Street Journal című napilapnak azt is elmondta: Giuliani az elmúlt években többször is felajánlotta, hogy válaszol a nyomozók kérdéseire, de ők mindannyiszor elhárították ezt. “Mintha a falnak beszéltem volna” – mondta Costello.
A manhattani ügyészség és a Szövetségi Nyomozó Iroda (FBI) munkatársai hónapokon keresztül dolgoztak azon, hogy megkapják az engedélyt Giuliani telefonjainak és egyéb elektronikus eszközeinek lefoglalására. Egyes sajtóbeszámolók szerint Donald Trump elnöksége alatt az Igazságügyi Minisztérium többször is megpróbálta ezt megakadályozni és lassította a nyomozást. Miután Joe Biden amerikai elnök kinevezte Merrick Garlandot igazságügyi miniszternek, a tárca visszavonta a nyomozás ellen támasztott kifogásait.
Elemzők az üggyel kapcsolatban megjegyezték: a mostani végzés nem egyenlő a Giulianival szembeni vádemeléssel. A The New York Times úgy fogalmazott: a szerdai események azt mutatják, hogy “a nyomozás újabb, agresszívabb szakaszba lépett”. A házkutatási parancs megszerzéséhez ugyanis a nyomozóknak meg kell győzniük egy bírót arról, hogy bűncselekmény elkövetése miatt van szükség a bizonyítékok feltárására.

Az egyik utcában amerikai zászlót hajítottak az égő műanyagkockákra, és felgyújtották a Fehér Ház előtti park oldalánál lévő mobilvécéket is. Ez idő alatt a Fehér Házban volt az amerikai elnök és a családja is.
Az AP amerikai hírügynökség, egy neve elhallgatását kérő titkosszolgálati munkatársra hivatkozva azt jelentette, hogy Donald Trumpot a péntek esti zavargásokkor rövid időre egy olyan földalatti bunkerba vitték, ami terrortámadások esetén védi a mindenkori elnököt.
Ezt a Fehér Ház nem erősítette meg, de biztonsági kérdéseket és intézkedéseket soha nem hoznak nyilvánosságra, és soha nem is kommentál hivatalosan a titkosszolgálat vagy a mindenkori elnök hivatala.

A kijárási tilalom ellenére több amerikai nagyvárosban – köztük például New Yorkban, Philadelphiában, Atlantában, Chicagóban, Denverben, Minneapolisban vagy Los Angelesben is – folytatódtak a tüntetések vasárnap éjjel. Helyi sajtójelentések szerint országszerte több mint 4000 embert vettek őrizetbe. A letartóztatott vandálok között volt New York polgármestere, Bill de Blasio lánya is.
Donald Trump amerikai elnök a hétvégén több Twitter-bejegyzésében is sürgette az amerikai városok polgármestereit, hogy állítsák helyre a rendet. – jelentette ki Donald Trump a Fehér Házban tartott sajtókonferenciáján.
Az amerikai
elnök néhány órával azt követően nyilatkozott így, hogy egy televíziós
beszélgetésben a szigorítások enyhítését, valamint a munkába való visszatérést
szorgalmazta, leszögezve, hogy tervei szerint az Egyesült Államokban már
április közepén ismét a régi kerékvágásban zajlik majd az élet.

közepén minden újraindulhat, ugyanakkor hangsúlyozta, a tények alapján döntenek
majd a gazdaság, és általában a munkahelyek újranyitásáról.

Texast érintheti.

Fauci hozzátette, egyelőre „nagyon képlékeny”, hogy mikor enyhíthetnek a
szigorú intézkedéseken. Deborah Birx pedig közölte, eddig mintegy 370 ezer
vírustesztet végeztek szerte az országban. Megerősítette, hogy jelenleg
leginkább New York államban aggasztó a helyzet, ezért arra kért mindenkit, aki
az elmúlt hetekben ott járt, hogy hazatérve okvetlenül vonuljon önkéntes
karanténba, legalább két hétre.

Donald Trump amerikai elnök újraválasztási kampánycsapata pénteken pert indított a CNN ellen „hamis” és „rágalmazó” állítások miatt – jelentette be az elnök jogi tanácsadója.
A perkereset szerint a hírtelevízió azzal rágalmazta meg az elnök újraválasztási kampányát, hogy Oroszország segítségét venné igénybe az idén tartandó elnökválasztási folyamatban. Jenna Ellis, az amerikai elnök jogi tanácsadója a Fox televíziónak adott interjúban úgy fogalmazott: a CNN a hamis és rágalmazó állítások hangoztatásakor tökéletesen „tisztában volt azok félrevezető voltával, mégis teret adott nekik azzal a szándékolt céllal, hogy ártson a kampánynak”.
A jogásznő emlékeztetett arra is, hogy a Trump-kampány nemrégiben hasonlóképpen pert indított a The New York Times és a The Washington Post című lapok ellen is azért, hogy – mint mondta – „felelősségre vonja a kiadókat a felelőtlen riportjaikért, és helyreállítsa az igazságot”.
A perkereset szerint a CNN a többi között azt állította, hogy a Trump-kampány „mérlegelte annak előnyeit és hátrányait, hogy 2020-ban ismét igénybe vegye Oroszország segítségét, és úgy döntött, hogy nem veti el ezt (a megoldást)”.
A kampánycsapat jogászainak érvelése szerint a hírtelevízió tökéletesen tisztában volt állításainak megtévesztő voltával, hiszen „mind a kampánycsapat, mind a kormányzat többször is nyilvánosan visszautasította, hogy egyáltalán szándékában állna orosz segítséghez folyamodni”.
Az újraválasztási kampány jogászai helyreigazítást is követeltek a televízió illetékeseitől, akik azonban ezt megtagadták, ezért az igazság bemutatására nem maradt más lehetőség, mint a per.
A perkeresetet egy georgiai kerületi bíróságnál nyújtották be, mivel a CNN televízió székhelye a georgiai Atlantában van. A Fox televízió értesülései szerint a Trump-kampánycsapat nemcsak helyreigazítást, hanem milliós anyagi kártérítést is követel. A CNN vezetői péntek délutánig nem reagáltak a perről szóló információkra.

Az Egyesült
Államok egy jemeni terrorelhárító műveletben megölte Kászim al-Rajmit, az
Arab-félsziget al-Kaidája (AQAP) néven ismert terrorszervezet vezérét –
jelentette be csütörtökön Donald Trump amerikai elnök, hozzátéve, hogy a
műveletet az ő parancsára hajtották végre.
“Rajmi
vezetésével az AQAP lelkiismeretlen erőszakcselekményeket követett el jemeni
civilek ellen, és számos támadást próbált meg levezényelni vagy ösztönözni az
Egyesült Államok és fegyveres erőink ellen”– mondta Trump egy nyilatkozatban.
“Halála
tovább gyengíti az al-Kaida arab-félszigeti és globális mozgalmát, s közelebb
visz bennünket ahhoz, hogy felszámoljuk a nemzetbiztonságunkat e csoportok
miatt fenyegető veszélyeket” – mondta az amerikai elnök, anélkül, hogy említést
tett volna a művelet végrehajtásának részleteiről.
Washington
az Oszama bin Laden alapította al-Kaida hálózat legveszélyesebb ágának tartja
az AQAP-ot, miután a szervezet több támadást is megpróbált végrehajtani az
Egyesült Államok területén.
Rajmi
vállalt felelősséget szervezete nevében azért a tavaly decemberi lövöldözésért,
amelyben a szaúdi légierő egy amerikai kiképzésen részt vevő katonája egy
pisztollyal három embert megölt és többeket megsebesített a floridai Pensacola
haditengerészeti bázison.
Az
elkövetővel a helyszínre kiérkezett rendőrök végeztek.
A fegyveres
támadás nyomán felfüggesztették valamennyi szaúd-arábiai pilóta gyakorlati
továbbképzését az Egyesült Államokban, és Mark Esper védelmi miniszter
utasította a hadsereg vezetőit a katonai támaszpontok biztonsági
intézkedéseinek megszigorítására, valamint az Egyesült Államokba továbbképzésre
érkező külföldi katonák korábbiaknál alaposabb megvizsgálására. Az amerikai hatóságok
januárban hazaküldtek 21 szaúdi katonát, közölve, hogy közösségi médiafiókjaik

ugyanakkor a Reutersnek azt mondta, hogy történt egy dróncsapás a jemeni
fővárostól, Szanaától mintegy 120 kilométerre keletre fekvő Máribban, de a
támadásban nem Rajmi vesztette életét.
Jemenben
2014 augusztusa óta tart a polgárháború az Irán támogatását élvező húszik és a
Szaúd-Arábia, valamint más arab országok által támogatott, nemzetközileg
elismert jemeni elnökhöz – a Rijádban tartózkodó Abed Rabbó Manszúr Hádihoz –
hű erők között. A felkelők ellen 2015 márciusában lépett hadba a jemeni
kormányerőket légierővel segítő arab koalíció.
A polgárháborús harcokban is szerepet vállaló AQAP-ot tavaly nyáron az a vád érte, hogy a szaúdi vezetésű katonai koalíció titkos megállapodásokat köt egyes tagjaival, a terrorcsoport azonban tagadta ezt az állítást. Előzőleg, 2019 februárjában a CNN amerikai hírtelevízió arról számolt be, hogy több szélsőséges iszlamista szervezet, köztük az al-Kaida helyi csoportja is hasznot húzhatott azokból az amerikai gyártmányú fegyverekből, amelyeket Washington Szaúd-Arábiának és az Egyesült Arab Emírségeknek adott el a jemeni polgárháború kitörése óta.

Egy bostoni kiberbiztonsági cégre hivatkozva több amerikai lap jelentette, hogy az orosz katonai hírszerzés meghekkelte az ukrán Burisma gázipari cég számítógépes rendszerét.
A Burisma az a cég,
amely a Donald Trump amerikai elnök ellen indított alkotmányos
felelősségre vonási eljárás (impeachment) középpontjában áll.
A Burismánál volt ugyanis igazgatótanácsi tag a demokraták
elnökjelöltségéért küzdő Joe Biden volt alelnök fia, Hunter
Biden, és Trump a Volodimir Zelenszkij ukrán elnökkel folytatott
telefonbeszélgetésében felvetette, hogy az ukrán ügyészség
kivizsgálhatná a Burisma és Bidenék üzleti ügyeit. E
telefonbeszélgetésre hivatkozva indítottak eljárást a demokrata
párti törvényhozók az amerikai elnök ellen.
Az Area 1 Security
nevű bostoni kiberbiztonsági cég hétfőn este több amerikai
médiumhoz eljuttatta a jelentését, amelyben az áll: felfedezte,
hogy orosz hekkerek már november óta több számítógépes
támadást intéztek a Burisma Holding ellen. A támadások időben
egybeestek az amerikai képviselőházban folyó meghallgatásokkal,
amelyeknek egyik célja annak kiderítése volt, hogy Donald Trump
gyakorolt-e nyomást az ukrán elnökre a Burisma elleni vizsgálat
ügyében.
Az amerikai
kiberbiztonsági cég megállapította azt is, hogy a Burisma elleni
támadások hasonlóak voltak azokhoz, amelyek Hillary Clinton
demokrata párti elnökjelölt és a Demokrata Országos Bizottság
(DNC, a párt vezető szerve) számítógépes rendszereit érték a
2016-os választási kampány idején. Ráadásul az akkori és a
Burisma elleni mostani támadásokat – az amerikai cég szerint –
az orosz katonai hírszerzésnek ugyanaz az egysége követte el. A
támadásokban a hekkerek egyebek között hamis e-maileket küldtek,
amelyekkel megpróbálták rávenni a címzetteket adataik átadására.
A bostoni cég leszögezte, hogy az általuk felderített hekkertámadásoknak figyelmeztetésül kell szolgálniuk a 2020-as amerikai választásokra is.
