Az Egyesült Államok és 25 további ország részvételével nemzetközi haditengerészeti gyakorlat kezdődött el vasárnap a Csendes-óceánon, ami rendszeres, minden második évben megrendezik, de most nem mellékes, hogy a térségben egyre nagyobb a feszültség Peking és Washington között.
A Csendes-óceán Pereme (RIMPAC) nevű haditengerészeti gyakorlat a legnagyobb a világon, az Egyesült Államok irányítja, és olyan szövetségesei vesznek rajta részt, mint Japán, Dél-Korea, Ausztrália, Új-Zéland, a Fülöp-szigetek, de NATO-szövetségesek is, mint például Nagy-Britannia, Franciaország, Németország és Hollandia. Washington szövetségese Tajvan is, amelyet Peking – noha nincs a fennhatósága alatt – Kína egyik tartományának tekint, és egyre jobban fenyegeti azzal, hogy katonai erővel bekebelezi. Ezenkívül Kína egyre agresszívabban próbál érvényt szerezni területi követeléseinek a Kelet- és a Dél-kínai-tengeren, amelyen más térségbeli országoknak, mint például a Fülöp-szigeteknek, is vannak területi követelései – jegyezték meg hírügynökségek.
A washingtoni kongresszus már decemberben az idén szeptemberig tartó katonai költségvetésről szóló törvényben felszólította Joe Biden amerikai elnököt, hogy hívja meg Tajvant is a gyakorlatra, de ő ezt egyelőre nem teszi meg, nyilvánvalóan azért, hogy elkerülje a kínai-amerikai feszültség további növekedését.
Maga Kína is részt vett a RIMPAC-en 2014-ben és 2016-ban, de azóta nem, mert Donald Trump elnöksége alatt megromlott a kapcsolata az Egyesült Államokkal.
Jens Stoltenberg NATO-főtitkár a szövetség minapi madridi csúcstalálkozóján kijelentette, hogy Kína nem ellenfél, de komoly kihívás, mert rohamosan bővíti katonai erőit, és egyre jobban fenyegeti Tajvant. Ez arra kényszeríti a NATO-t, hogy fokozza együttműködését a csendes-óceáni térség országaival védelmi és más területeken is.
Az augusztus 4-éig tartó RIMPAC-en 38 hajó, négy tengeralattjáró, több mint harminc automata fegyverrendszer, 170 repülőgép és több mint 25 ezer katona vesz részt, köztük kilenc nemzeti szárazföldi hadsereg egységeivel. A helyszíne a Hawaii-szigetek és Dél-Kalifornia környéke.
Észak-Korea mint mindig, most is elítélte a gyakorlatot, az Egyesült Államok, Japán és Dél-Korea alkotta trió fenyegetését látja benne. Ebből állítása szerint azt a következtetést kell levonnia, hogy tovább erősíti haderejét, és folytatja nukleáris programját.
Észak-Korea szomszédai szerint már egy ideje egyébként is arra készül, hogy ismét nukleáris kísérletet hajt végre, öt év után először.

Az ukrán Védelmi Minisztérium Hírszerzési Igazgatóságának képviselője szerint valószínűtlen az, hogy Minszk támadást tervez Ukrajna ellen, mivel az említett egységekből nem hoztak létre dedikált harccsoportot, valamint a hírszerzés rendelkezésére álló információk szerint kifejezetten inváziós célt szolgáló parancsnoki rendszert sem alakítottak ki az egységek számára.
A képviselő szerint a felvonultatás célja az ukrán erők megosztása, ugyanis Kijev kénytelen elrettentő célzattal egységeket vezényelni északi határához, valamint egyéb erőforrásokat átcsoportosítani a belarusz helyzet folyamatos figyelemmel kísérése érdekében.
Fontos megjegyezni azt, hogy Fehéroroszország nem először hajt végre csapatösszevonást az Ukrajnával közös határszakasz közelében, a rendelkezésre álló információk szerint azonban a február óta tartó harcokban belarusz egységek nem vesznek részt.

Több mint 4 év után tartott ismét közös hadgyakorlatot Dél-Korea és az Egyesült Államok. A gyakorlatban amerikai repülőgép-hordozók is részt vettek. A szöuli hadsereg emellett közölte, hogy információik szerint Észak-Korea atomkísérletre készül.
A dél-koreai vezérkar vezetője közölte, hogy a három napos hadgyakorlatra a japán Okinawa sziget melletti nemzetközi vizeken került sor. Tesztelték a légvédelmet, a hajó- és tengeralattjáró elleni küzdelmet, illetve más tengeri műveleteket – írta meg a Reuters.
A közös gyakorlatra azért került sor, mivel nő a feszültség Észak-Koreával, ahol a hírszerzés szerint atomkísérletek végrehajtására készülnek.
Ilyen tesztet 2017 óta nem hajtottak végre az országban, de az utóbbi időben többször is teszteltek hagy hatótávolságú rakétát az északiak.
A gyakorlatban részt vett többek között a USS Ronald Reagen, 100 ezer tonnás nukleáris meghajtású repülőgép-hordozó, a USS Antietam irányított rakétás cirkáló, illetve az Aegis-szel felszerelt USS Benfold romboló is. Dél-Korea a több mint 14 ezer tonnás Marado kétéltű leszállóhajóval, a 7600 tonnás Sejong the Great rombolóval és a 4400 tonnás Munmu The Great rombolóval képviseltette magát.
A közelmúltban Joon Suk-yeol dél-koreai elnök és Joe Biden amerikai elnök találkozóján a felek megállapodtak abban, hogy az USA Dél-Korea segítségére siet, ha Észak-Korea miatt erre szükség lenne.
Biden stratégiai eszközöket is ígért kollégájának, hogy elrettenthessék Észak-Koreát egy esetleges agresszív megnyilvánulástól. Pénteken az USA Dél-Korea és Japán nukleáris illetékesei Szöulban találkoztak, hogy felkészülhessenek minden eshetőségre. Ez alatt értelemszerűen az észak-koreai kísérleteket érthették.

A lengyel fegyveres erők vasárnap közölték, hogy megkezdődött a NATO-katonák ezreinek részvételével zajló hadgyakorlat. Rendszeres gyakorlatokról van szó, amelyek célja, hogy javítsák a szövetség keleti szárnyának biztonságát.
Idén azonban a közelben dúl Oroszország Ukrajna elleni háborúja, ami miatt a lengyel hadsereg vasárnap arra kérte a lakosságot, hogy ne tegyen közzé információkat vagy fényképeket a következő hetekben az országon áthaladó katonai járművek oszlopairól – írja az NBC News.
Arra figyelmeztettek, hogy ez a „meggondolatlan tevékenység” árthat a szövetség biztonságának. „Legyünk tisztában a veszélyekkel!” – áll a közleményben.
A lengyel hadsereg közleménye szerint több mint 20 országból 18 ezer katona vesz részt a Defender Europe 2022 és a Swift Response 2022 gyakorlatokon, amelyek Lengyelországban és nyolc másik országban zajlanak.
A gyakorlatok a tervek szerint május elsejétől május 27-ig tartanak.

Megérkeztek Szlovákiába az első amerikai katonák a Saber Strike (Kardcsapás) fedőnevű hadgyakorlatra szerdán a késő éjszakai órákban. A Csehországból érkező konvojt a cseh-szlovák határon tiltakozók csoportja várta – jelentette a szlovák Markíza kereskedelmi televízió hírportálja, a tvnoviny.sk csütörtökön.
A portál jelentése szerint az autópályán érkező katonai konvoj a Lanzhot-Brodské határátkelőn lépte át a szlovák határt, majd a Malacky-Kuchynában lévő légibázisra folytatta útját. A tvnoviny.sk hírében hangsúlyosan idézte a szlovák védelmi minisztérium korábbi közlését, miszerint az amerikai csapatok részvételével tervezett hadgyakorlat „nem tartozik azon intézkedések sorába, amelyek az aktuális ukrajnai biztonsági helyzetre reagálnak”.
Több egymást megerősítő médiaközlésben is beszámoltak arról, hogy az amerikai konvojt a határon tiltakozók csoportja várta. Andrej Danko, a szlovák parlament előző elnöke, a Szlovák Nemzeti Párt (SNS) vezetője, aki maga is részt vett a tiltakozó akcióban, a közösségi médiában megjelent posztjában néhány száz tiltakozót említett.
A CTK cseh állami hírügynökség jelentése szerint a Németországból Csehországon keresztül Szlovákiába tartó amerikai katonák 5 – egyenként 3-5 kisebb csapatra oszló – csoportban haladnak át Csehország területén, miközben ezek közül az utolsó várhatóan kedden hagyja el az ország területét.
A szlovák védelmi minisztérium e heti közlése szerint a Saber Strike hadgyakorlatra megközelítőleg 2 ezer amerikai katona és velük együtt mintegy 600 harci és műszaki eszköz érkezik Szlovákiába. A szaktárca szerint a gyakorlaton a szlovák fegyveres erők közel 1300 tagja vesz majd részt.
Daniel Zemko, a szlovák fegyveres erők vezérkari főnöke a gyakorlatról azt mondta: ennek tervei 2019-re nyúlnak vissza. A TASR szlovák közszolgálati hírügynökség csütörtöki hírelőzetese szerint a délután folyamán a kuchynai légibázison a hadgyakorlat előkészületeit bemutató médianapot tartanak.
