Erdőtűz kapott lángra a horvátországi Trogir környékén, Splittől mintegy 20 kilométerre, mely lakóházakat is veszélybe sodort és ami elől a turistákat is ki kellett menekíteni.
A dalmát régió miden közeli tűzoltóságát bevetették a lángok megfékezése céljából, mely a Medena Hotel környékén gyulladtak ki. Mintegy 130 tűzoltó és három tűzoltó repülő is dolgozik az erdőtűz megfékezésén.
A helyszínre mintegy 40 tűzoltóautó érkezett.
A lángok egy üdülőközpontot is megközelített, az apartmanoktól mindössze 20 méterre sikerült csak megfékezi csütörtök este a tüzet. A turisták azonban már korábban elkezdtek menekülni az erdőtűz elől.
A lángokat péntek reggelre sem sikerült eloltani, noha az éjszaka folyamán 68 tűzoltó és 21 tűzoltó autó dolgozott az oltáson, mely pénteken nap közben is folytatódik. A tűz továbbra is kontroll alatt van.
A mediterrán térségben az elmúlt években egyre gyakoribbak az erdőtüzek a klímaváltozás hatására, azokkal nemcsak Horvátország, de Görögország és más országok is küzdenek nyaranta.

A jól látható figyelmeztetések ellenére egy turista megengedte gyermekének, hogy egy aknamezőn talált robbanószerkezetet magához vegyen. Az akna felrobbant, a kilencéves gyermek pedig elhunyt, az apát letartóztatták.
Robbanószerkezettől halt megy egy kilencéves cseh gyerek Horvátországban, az apát letartóztatták közbiztonság elleni súlyos bűncselekmény vádjával – közölte pénteken a Zára (Zadar) megyei rendőrség.
A 46 éves férfi és családja turistaként tartózkodott az országban. Szerdán ellátogattak Knin környékére, ahol a tiltások és a szemmel jól látható angol és horvát nyelvű veszélyt jelző táblák ellenére bementek egy aknamezőre. A kilencéves gyerek talált egy robbanószerkezetet, amelyet magával vitt, az apa pedig személyesen tette be a gépkocsijukba.
Nem sokkal később az autó meghibásodása miatt leálltak az út szélén, a gyerek pedig kivette a kocsiból a robbanószerkezetet, amely abban a pillanatban aktiválódott.
A robbanás következtében a gyerek a helyszínen életét vesztette, két nő súlyosan, egy férfi pedig könnyebben megsérült. A rendőrség azonnal nyomozást indított az ügyben. A helyszínen talált maradványokat szakértői vizsgálatra Zágrábba küldték, hogy megállapítsák a robbanótest típusát és aktiválódásának lehetséges okát.
Az apa ellen vádat emeltek, és bíróság elé állítják – közölte a rendőrség. A horvát aknamentesítő központ adatai szerint az 1990-es évek első felében dúló délszláv polgárháborúból visszamaradt aknagyanús területek nagy részét már megtisztították. Még négy megyében – 22 város és járás területén – mintegy 82 négyzetkilométernyi területet kell átvizsgálni, és 9800 aknát kell hatástalanítani, nagyrészt azokon a területeken, ahol intenzív harcok folytak a délszláv háború alatt.
Az országban 3600 tábla hívja fel a figyelmet az aláaknázott területekre.
Horvátország 1997-ben az elsők között írta alá az ottawai egyezményt, amely tiltja a gyalogsági aknák gyártását, kereskedelmét és telepítését, valamint előírja az aknakészletek megsemmisítését és az aknamezők felszámolását.

Meghalt az a férfi, aki tegnap felgyújtotta magát Zágrábban, a Szent Márk téren, nem messze a kormányépülettől – jelentette szerdán a helyi média.
A zágrábi Irgalmas Nővérek Klinikai Kórház közleménye szerint a férfit negyedfokú égési sérülésekkel szállították a traumatológiai és égési osztályra, az orvosok erőfeszítései ellenére azonban még aznap késő este meghalt.
Az 57 éves horvát állampolgár kedden reggel fél tízkor a kormányépület közelében először gyúlékony anyagot öntött magára, majd felgyújtotta a ruháját. A rendőrök még a mentők kiérkezése előtt eloltották a lángokat.
Nem sokkal később a helyszínen megjelent Andrej Plenkovic horvát kormányfő és néhány miniszter is, akik éppen kormányülést tartottak az épületben.
A miniszterelnök később sajtótájékoztatóján részvétét fejezte ki az elhunyt férfi családjának.
A hatóságok közlése szerint az öngyilkos férfi tettének indítéka továbbra is ismeretlen, de vélhetően nem politikai jellegű volt.

Tűzoltó sérült meg egy felrobbant kézigránáttól Horvátországban – közölte szerdán a rendőrség.
A tűzoltó épp egy kigyulladt ház oltásában vett részt kedden a közép-horvátországi Károlyvárosban (Karlovac), amikor egy felrobbanó kézigránáttól súlyos sérüléseket szenvedett.
A városban hirtelen érkezett vihar okozott károkat.
A rendőrség közleménye szerint több fegyvert és lőszert is találtak a ház padlásán, amelynek a teteje villámcsapás következtében gyulladt ki, valamint két kézigránátot is, amelyek közül az egyik felrobbant. A detonáció a szomszédos házakban is kárt okozott.
A ház egy 72 éves özvegy nő tulajdona, akinek volt férje ellen korábban már nyomozást indított a rendőrség, de akkor nem találtak nála illegális fegyvereket.
A horvát rendőrség 2007-ben hirdette meg azt a Kevesebb fegyver, kevesebb tragédia elnevezésű kezdeményezését, amelynek keretében a lakosság mindenféle jogi következmény nélkül leadhatja a délszláv háborúból nála marad fegyvereket és lőszereket. Azóta több tonna robbanószert, több százezer lőfegyvert és több millió különféle lőszert szolgáltattak be a hatóságoknak az állampolgárok. A padlások, a raktárak és a pincék azonban továbbra is nagy számban rejtegetnek illegális fegyvereket és robbanószereket.

Csütörtök reggel egy illegális bevándorlókat szállító autó szenvedett balesetet Brnaze közelében, Split-Dalmát megyében, melynek következtében négyen életüket vesztették – számolt be erről a Slobodna Dalmacija regionális napilap, írja az MTI.
A rendőrség közlése szerint egy lengyel rendszámú autó nagy sebességgel kisodródott az útról és egy falnak ütközött, a gépkocsiban kilenc személy tartózkodott. Négyen a helyszínen életüket vesztették, köztük egy 14 éves gyermek. A sérülteket a spliti kórházba szállították.
A spliti klinikai kórház az Index.hr című hírportálnak megerősítette, hogy intézményükben öt férfi került felvételre, mindegyik külföldi állampolgár. Négyen közülük súlyos testi sérüléseket szenvedtek, és jelenleg még a műtőben vannak.
A Slobodna Dalmacija információ szerint a gépkocsit egy idősebb férfi vezette. A rendőrök Trilje közelében próbálták megállítani, de figyelmen kívül hagyta a jelzéseket, majd több percen át menekült a hatóságok elől. Nagy sebességgel hajtott be egy útkereszteződésbe, majd elvesztette az uralmát a gépkocsi felett, és a falnak csapódott.
Egy helyszíni szemtanú a lapnak elmondta: nagy csattanást hallott, majd kifutott a házból és meglátta az összetört gépkocsit, amely zsúfolásig volt férfiakkal, akik hangosan jajveszékeltek. A kiérkezett tűzoltók a csomagtartón keresztül menekítették ki a sérülteket az autóból.

Egy korai reggeli tűz következtében legkevesebb huszonkét hajó semmisült meg Medulin üdülőváros kikötőjében az Isztriai-félszigeten. A jelentés szerint nem történt személyi sérülés – számolt be szerdán az Index.hr hírportál.
A tűz oltásában a pulai és a medulini tűzoltók vettek részt, és a lángokat sikerült megfékezni. A hatóságok közlése szerint a helyszínre érkező tűzoltók először elkülönítették azokat a hajókat, amelyeket még nem értek el a lángok, az égő hajókat pedig elkötötték, és úgy oltották el rajtuk a tüzet. Közülük több teljesen kiégett.
Samir Grahovic tűzoltóparancsnok a tűz keletkezéséről elmondta: vélhetően elektromos hiba okozta valamelyik hajón.
„Nehéz eloltani a tüzet, amikor ég a műanyag, hajókkal lehet csak, amelyek a tengerről érkeznek” – hangsúlyozta.
A portál által közölt képeken jól látszik, hogy egyes hajókban – köztük luxusjachtokban – mekkora kár keletkezett, volt, amelyik el is süllyedt közülük. Szemtanúk elmondása szerint néhány vízi járművön emberek is tartózkodtak, ők a tengerbe ugrottak, hogy megmeneküljenek.
A kikötőparancsnokság megerősítette, hogy a tűz okozott környezeti károkat, ezért dupla gátat építenek, hogy lokalizálják a szennyeződést, valamint hívtak egy„ ökohajót” is a terület szanálása céljából.
Horvátország az egyik legnépszerűbb európai idegenforgalmi célpont, és kedvenc hajózási hely. A kiégett hajók tulajdonosai között külföldiek is lehettek.

A Kijevo nevű komp vasárnap fél 11-kor gyulladt ki Biograd na Moruban. A Danas úgy tudja, a legénység megpróbálta eloltani a tüzet, de miután nem sikerült, kihívták a tűzoltókat.
A horvát Index szerint a baleset idej;n nem tartózkodtak utasok a járaton, és a legénység tagjai sem sérültek meg.
A portál szerint a tűzoltóknak már sikerült megfékezni a lángok továbbterjedését, de az oltás még jelenleg is zajlik.
Úgy tudni, a tűz a parancsnoki híd alatt, a legénységi kabinok egyikében keletkezett, de egyelőre nem tudni, hogy mi okozta azt.
A Danas kiemelte, a kompra már többször panaszkodtak a helyiek, ugyanis egy meglehetősen régi jármű: 1997-ben épült, így majdnem 30 éves.

A kormányon lévő jobbközép Horvát Demokratikus Közösség (HDZ) ellen tiltakoztak szombaton Zágrábban, ahol a tüntetők az idei parlamenti választás mielőbbi megtartását követelték. Tovább fokozta a feszültséget, hogy a HDZ állítása szerint alig vettek részt a demonstráción. Az esemény egyik szervezője fotókkal és videókkal bizonyította a párt állításának ellenkezőjét.
Fotó: AP Több ezer ember tüntetett szombaton Horvátország fővárosában, korrupcióval vádolva a kormányzó jobbközép pártot. A demonstrálók az idei parlamenti választások mielőbbi megtartását követelték – írja az AP News.
A lap szerint a zágrábi tüntetést tizenegy közép- és baloldali ellenzéki párt szervezte. Horvátországban idén parlamenti választásokat, emellett június elején európai parlamenti választásokat tartanak. A pontos időpontokról még nem döntöttek, így az ellenzéki pártok azonnali szavazást sürgetnek, amelyről egy hivatalos követelést is benyújtottak a horvát parlamentnek.
Az egyik legnagyobb horvát portál, az index.hr szerint a HDZ közösségi oldalán azt állította, hogy a szombati tüntetésen alig vettek részt. A kormánypárt szerint legfeljebb 3 ezer ember demonstrálhatott, emellett Andrej Plenkovic horvát kormányfő ismeretlen okokból „oroszbarátnak″ bélyegezte az eseményt.
A tüntetés egyik szervezője fotókat és videókat osztott meg a tüntetésről, amelyen jól látható, hogy rengeteg ember gyűlt össze.
Január végén szintén több százan tiltakoztak Horvátországban. Ekkor egy törvénymódosítás miatt, amely bűncselekményként kezelné a nyomozati vagy bizonyítási cselekmények tartalmának jogosulatlan nyilvánosságra hozatalát. Horvátországban legutóbb a vasárnapi boltzár megtartása váltott ki népharagot.

Több százan tüntettek szerdán Horvátországban az információk kiszivárogtatására vonatkozó törvénymódosítás miatt, amely bűncselekményként kezelné a nyomozati vagy bizonyítási cselekmények tartalmának jogosulatlan nyilvánosságra hozatalát – közölte a horvát közszolgálati televízió.
A tüntetést a Horvát Újságírók Egyesülete (HND) szervezte, amely szerint az új bűncselekmény-kategória létrehozásával a kormány „agressziót követ el a közérdek, az újságírói szakma és a kiszivárogtatók ellen”.
A horvát kormány nemrég elfogadta a büntető törvénykönyv módosítását, amely a többi között bűncselekményként kezeli a nyomozati vagy bizonyítási cselekmények tartalmának jogosulatlan nyilvánosságra hozatalát, amely a büntetőeljárás nem nyilvános szakaszában az információ kiszivárogtatását jelenti.
A kabinet szerint a bűncselekmény elkövetői csak az eljárásban részt vevő személyek lehetnek, mint például igazságügyi tisztviselők, vádlottak, ügyvédek, tanúk és szakértők. A jogosulatlan tartalomközlés bűncselekményében nem vádolhatók meg újságírók.
Hrvoje Zovko, a HND elnöke a tüntetésen elmondta: bár az újságírókat a törvény alapján valóban nem lehet megbüntetni, a hatóságok továbbra is zaklathatják őket. Elkobozhatják mobiltelefonjaikat és laptopjaikat, és amíg ki nem derül a bírósági eljárás alatt hogy mi számít valóban közérdeknek, a kiszivárogtatók és az újságírók megfélemlítése hónapokig is elhúzódhat.
A HND emiatt a jogszabály visszavonását követeli. Álláspontja szerint annak bevezetése „az oknyomozó újságírás végét jelenti, amely leggyakrabban éppen a forrásokra, a rendszeren belül azokra a becsületes emberekre támaszkodik, akik nem értenek egyet a nyomozás részleteinek eltussolásával”.
Ha elhallgattatják a közérdekű bejelentőket, az állampolgárok soha nem fognak értesülni olyan bűncselekményekről, amelyekben hatalmon lévő emberek az érintettek – hangsúlyozta a HND elnöke.
A módosítást még a parlamentnek is el kell fogadnia. Andrej Plenkovic kormányfő és Ivan Malenica igazságügyi miniszter kedden jelezte: a kormány a szavazás előtt kiegészíti a törvényjavaslatot egy rendelettel, amely kizárja a büntethetőséget, ha nyomós közérdekből nyilvánosságra hozott információkról van szó.
