A pakisztáni állami média szerint megtorló csapások vannak folyamatban, miközben a tisztviselők elítélik az eszkalációt, amelyet súlyos „provokációnak” neveztek.
Pakisztán közlése szerint India szombat kora reggel ballisztikus rakétákat lőtt ki három pakisztáni légibázisra. A hadsereg szóvivője szerint a rakéták nagy részét elfogták.
Az állami kézben lévő pakisztáni média szerint már folyamatban vannak a megtorló csapások, amelyek „több helyszínt” céloztak meg Indiában. A pakisztáni média nem részletezte, hogy mely helyszíneket támadják.
Iszlámábád azt állítja, hogy légierejének minden eszköze biztonságban van, és a bázisok elleni támadások nem okoztak jelentős károkat. Ahmad Sharif, a hadsereg szóvivője szerint az újabb támadások „a legmagasabb rendű provokációnak” minősülnek.
Sharif szerint az indiai rakéták a Ravalpindi helyőrségi városában található Nur Khan légibázist, a Chakwal városában található Murid légibázist és a keleti Pandzsáb tartomány Jhang kerületében található Rafiqui légibázist célozták meg.
India nem reagált Pakisztán vádjaira.
A jelentések szerint néhány indiai rakéta eltalálta India keleti Pandzsáb tartományát. Sharif hozzátette, hogy a lövedékek a szomszédos Afganisztánba is eljutottak. A hadsereg szóvivője megjegyezte, hogy bizonyítékokkal rendelkeznek ezen állítások alátámasztására.
„Szeretném közölni veletek a sokkoló hírt, miszerint India hat ballisztikus rakétát lőtt ki Adampur városából” – mondta Sharif. Az egyik ballisztikus rakéta Adampurt találta el, a fennmaradó öt rakéta pedig Amritsar pandzsábi régióját találta el.”
A feszültség fokozódott, miután április 22-én az indiai fennhatóság alatt álló Kasmírban, Pahalgamban 26 ember, főként turisták halálát okozta egy támadásban. Újdelhi Iszlámábádot hibáztatta a „támadás támogatásáért”, Pakisztán azonban határozottan cáfolta ezeket az állításokat.
Pakisztáni tisztviselők jelentése szerint India szerdán légicsapásokat hajtott végre több pakisztáni helyszínen, amelyeket fegyveresekhez köthetőnek azonosított, 31 civil halálát okozva. Válaszul Iszlámábád közölte, hogy öt indiai vadászrepülőgépet lőtt le.

„Azt akarjuk, hogy ez a helyzet a lehető leggyorsabban lecsillapodjon. Megpróbálhatjuk bátorítani ezeket az embereket, hogy egy kicsit csillapodjanak, de nem fogunk beleavatkozni egy háború közepébe, ami alapvetően nem a mi dolgunk” – mondta Vance.
Vance megjegyezte, hogy Washington nem mondhatja egyik országnak sem a harc leállítását, de mindent megtesz a béke elérése érdekében, diplomáciai csatornákon keresztül.
„Amerika nem mondhatja az indiaiaknak, hogy tegyék le a fegyvert. Mi sem mondhatjuk a pakisztániaknak, hogy tegyék le a fegyvert. Ezért továbbra is diplomáciai csatornákon keresztül fogjuk folytatni ezt az ügyet” – jegyezte meg Vance.
„Reméljük és várjuk, hogy ez nem fog egy szélesebb körű regionális háborúba, vagy – Isten ments – egy nukleáris konfliktusba torkollni.”

Közben újabb tűzpárbaj volt a két országot elválasztó tűzszüneti vonal térségében, az összecsapásokban Iszlámábád szerint több civil meghalt.
„India háborús hisztériája az egész világot aggaszthatja” – szögezte le sajtótájékoztatóján Safkat Ali Hán, abszurdnak nevezve azokat az állításokat, amelyek szerint Pakisztán lenne a felelős a helyzet elmérgesedéséért.
Pakisztáni hatósági források azt közölték, hogy India az éjszaka tüzérséggel támadta a vitatott hovatartozású Kasmír Pakisztán által ellenőrzött részét, a régióbeli Kotli város egyik rendőrtisztje, Adíl Hán a sajtónak nyilatkozva azt mondta: a támadásban négy civil, köztük egy kétéves kislány életét vesztette.
Ezzel pakisztáni hivatalos források szerint 36-ra nőtt szerda óta a konfliktus halálos áldozatainak száma.
A PTV pakisztáni állami tévé a hadseregre hivatkozva azt jelentette, hogy az ország légvédelme a keddtől csütörtökig terjedő időszakban 77 indiai drónt tudott megsemmisíteni. Biztonsági források szerint a drónok „katonai és civil létesítményeket egyaránt támadtak”.
Ataullah Tarar távközlési miniszter a parlamentben azt mondta, a lelőtt drónokat háborús trófeaként ki fogják állítani múzeumban.
Ugyancsak pénteken Havdzsa Ászif védelmi miniszter hangsúlyozta, hogy az iszlámábádi kormány naponta tárgyal Szaúd-Arábiával, Katarral és Kínával a feszültség csökkentése érdekében.
Az indiai hadsereg ezzel egy időben arról tett jelentést, hogy Pakisztán drónokkal „és más eszközökkel” támadott indiai területeket a közös határ mentén. Az X-en közzétett üzenetük szerint a drónokat mind megsemmisítették, és „megfelelő választ adtak” ezekre a támadásokra. Újdelhi arról is hírt adott, hogy a szomszédos ország hadserege csütörtök este légicsapást mért Kasmír indiai ellenőrzés alatt álló részére. Iszlámábád tagadja ezt.

A több évtizedes indiai–pakisztáni feszültségek újabb erőszakos hullámot váltottak ki szerda este, amikor mindkét ország hadserege lövedékeket lőtt ki a vitatott kasmíri régió de facto határán.
Az indiai védelmi szóvivő, Suneel Bartwal alezredes tájékoztatása szerint a pakisztáni hadsereg kézifegyverekkel és tüzérségi ágyúkkal támadta meg az indiai igazgatású Kasmírt, amit India arányos válaszcsapásokkal viszonzott.
Az eszkaláció közvetlenül a két ország hadserege közötti napi tűzpárbajok sorozatában történt, amelyet a Kasmírt kettéválasztó vitatott ellenőrzési vonalon vívtak.
A fegyveres összecsapások legújabb hulláma már áprilisi mészárlás óta tartó intenzív konfliktus része, amikor fegyveresek több indiai turistát gyilkoltak meg egy festői szépségű helyen. A támadások következtében 26 civil vesztette életét, és a határon túlra átterjedő fegyveres konfliktusok újabb vérontást eredményeztek.
Egy indiai védelmi forrás szerdán a CNN-nek nyilatkozva arról beszélt, hogy a pakisztáni hadsereg által leadott éjszakai lövések 12 civil életét követelték, miközben 57 személy megsebesült.
A kasmíri régió, amelyet India és Pakisztán több évtizede vitat, immár ismét a háborús összecsapások epicentrumává vált. Az országok közötti rivalizálás több évtizedes múltra tekint vissza, és a terület ellenőrzéséért folytatott küzdelem számos vérontást eredményezett a múltban. A jelenlegi helyzet egyre inkább arra utal, hogy a konfliktus mélyebb, stratégiai és politikai okokkal bír, a további eszkaláció pedig egyre valószínűbbé válik.
A felek közötti határvonal nemcsak területileg, hanem geopolitikai értelemben is kulcsfontosságú, hiszen Kasmír stratégiai jelentőségű a két ország számára.
A történelmi és a politikai érdekek fonódnak össze a régióban, miközben a mindennapi emberek élete továbbra is a háborús eszkaláció és a nemzetek közötti konfliktusok áldozata. Az indiai–pakisztáni kapcsolatok további romlása és a kasmíri határ mentén zajló harcok hosszú távon is komoly következményekkel járhatnak a dél-ázsiai térség stabilitására nézve.

Magyar idő szerint éjjel 11 óra körül érkeztek az első hírek, amelyek szerint India kilenc célpont ellen indított támadást. A szakértők attól tartanak, hogy a helyzet gyorsan kiéleződhet a két atomhatalom között – számolt be az Index.
India hivatalosan is megerősítette, hogy katonai csapásokat mért állítólagos terrorista bázisokra, Pakisztánban, illetve Kasmír pakisztáni ellenőrzés alatt álló részein. „Mindez megtorlás a múlt hónapban Kasmír pakisztáni ellenőrzés alatt álló részén, a hegyvidéki Pahalgam városka közelében elkövetett barbár támadás miatt, amelyben 25 indiai és egy nepáli civilt mészároltak le. Az áldozatok egy turistabusz utasai voltak” – olvasható az indiai hadügyminisztérium közleményében.
Támadásunk célzott volt, nem érintette a pakisztáni katonai létesítményeket, és nem kívánjuk a feszültséget más formában tovább gerjeszteni
– magyarázta a korlátozott csapás hátterét az indiai hadügy.
Újdelhi az áprilisi terrorakció után után azzal vádolta Pakisztánt, hogy a busz elleni támadást a kormány által támogatott szélsőséges csoport tagjai hajtották végre. Ezt pakisztáni részről cáfolták és visszautasították. India szerint most kilenc terrorista bázist támadtak meg, Pakisztán hármat ismert el, amelyeket rakétatalálat ért.
Pakisztán a maga idejében és helyén fog választcsapást adni, de az indiai támadás biztosan nem marad válasz nélkül
– idézte a pakisztáni hadsereg szóvivőjét a CNN. Eddig három halálos áldozata van a rakétatámadásnak, egyikük egy gyerek, és tucatnyian megsérültek.
Közben megszólalt a pakisztáni kormányfő is. Sehbaz Sarif azt írta az X-en közzétett üzenetében, ezek után Iszlamabadnak joga van, hogy válaszoljon erre az indiai háborús lépésre és ezt meg is fogja tenni. Biztonsági források szerint a pakisztáni légierő máris lelőtt két indiai harci gépet a térségben.
Félő, hogy a helyzet eszkalálódni fog és komolyabb szárazföldi konfliktus is kialakulhat a két szomszédos nukleáris hatalom között.

India keleti részén, Bihár államban súlyos felháborodást váltott ki egy iskolai étkeztetési incidens, miután több mint száz diák rosszul lett az ebéd elfogyasztása után. A Nemzeti Emberi Jogi Bizottság (NHRC) jelentése szerint az eset Mokama városában történt, ahol az iskolai ételben egy elhullott kígyót találtak 0 számolt be a hirado.hu.
Az elsődleges jelentések szerint a szakács ugyan eltávolította a döglött állatot, de ennek ellenére az ételt kiszolgálta a diákoknak. A BBC News szerint az érintett iskolában mintegy ötszáz gyermek kapott az adott napon ebédet, közülük legalább százan betegedtek meg a fogyasztást követően.
A gyerekek rosszulléte gyorsan pánikot keltett a közösségben, a helyi lakosok pedig tüntetésbe kezdtek, és eltorlaszoltak egy fontos közlekedési útvonalat is. A tiltakozók felelősségre vonást és szigorú ellenőrzéseket követelnek az iskolai étkeztetés rendszerében.
Az NHRC hivatalos vizsgálatot indított az ügyben kiemelve, hogy az eset nemcsak súlyos egészségügyi, hanem alapvető emberi jogi kérdéseket is felvet. A hatóságok egyelőre nem közöltek részleteket az esetleges büntetőeljárásról vagy a felelősök kilétéről, de a közfelháborodás jelentős.
A tragikus esemény ismét rávilágít az indiai iskolai étkeztetési programok gyakran kifogásolható higiéniai körülményeire, és újra napirendre helyezte az oktatási intézmények élelmiszerbiztonságának kérdését.

A szerda reggeli tragédia során legkevesebb nyolcan életüket vesztették – számolt be a Liner.hu.
A jelentések szerint nyolc ember elhunyt, többen pedig megsérültek, amikor egy újonnan épült fal összeomlott egy indiai templomban. Egy 6 méter hosszú falszakasz omlott össze, mely többeket maga alá temetett.
Narendra Modi, India miniszterelnöke is részvétét fejezte ki a történtek miatt. Emellett bejelentette, anyagi segítséget nyújt az indiai kormány a falomlásban életüket vesztettek családjainak, illetve a sérülteknek. Kiderült, hogy az összeomlott falat mindössze 20 nappal ezelőtt húzták fel.
A katasztrófavédelmi erők azonnal a helyszínre siettek, és megkezdték a mentési műveletet. Több hívőt is ki tudtak szabadítani a romok fogságából, de nyolc ember életét már nem lehetett megmenteni, olyan súlyosak voltak a sérüléseik.
Az előzetes vizsgálatok szerint a területre hirtelen beáramló vízmennyiség és a heves szél okozhatta a tragédiát, mialatt fellazult a talaj – írja az NDTV.

Két napon elül másodszor nyitottak tüzet egymásra az India és Pakisztán közötti demarkációs vonalon szolgálatot teljesítő katonák.
Az indiai hadsereg közlése szerint csapatai a pakisztáni hadsereg több állásából érkező kézi lőfegyverek tüzére reagáltak a Kasmír indiai és pakisztáni területeit elválasztó 740 kilométeres de facto határ mentén.
A pakisztáni hadsereg nem kommentálta az indiai állítást.
A vitatott hovatartozású Kasmír India által ellenőrzött régiójában kedden terrortámadás történt, amelyben legkevesebb 26-an vesztették életüket, 17-en megsebesültek.
Pénteken az indiai hatóságok arról számoltak be, hogy három gyanúsítottat azonosítottak, köztük két pakisztáni állampolgárt. Pakisztán tagadta, hogy köze lenne a támadáshoz, és az ország védelmi minisztere szerint nemzetközi vizsgálatra van szükség az ügyben.
A támadás után India és Pakisztán egy sor megszorító intézkedést hozott egymás ellen: Pakisztán például lezárta légterét az indiai légitársaságok előtt, India pedig felfüggesztette az 1960-as, Indus-vizekről szóló szerződést, amely szabályozza az Indus folyó és mellékfolyói vízmegosztását.

Az elmúlt két nap során Észak-India Harijána államában háromszáz abortuszklinika működési engedélyét vonták vissza egy átfogó razzia keretében, amelyet a lány magzatok elleni jogellenes abortuszok visszaszorítása érdekében tartottak – közölték pénteken helyi hivatalos források, írja a hvg.hu.
A vizsgálatot lefolytató munkacsoport vezetője, Virender Jadav elmondta: többek ellen eljárás is indult, mert az online kereskedtek terhességmegszakításhoz szükséges eszközökkel.
Az állam egészségügyi hatóságai emellett azt közölték, több mint 62 ezer, egy vagy több lánygyermeket nevelő várandós nővel konzultáltak, és próbálták őket meggyőzni arról, hogy ne végeztessék el a magzat nemét megállapító vizsgálatot – amely egyébként egy 1994-ben elfogadott jogszabály szerint törvénytelen is.
Az utóbbi évtizedekben Harijánában a nemek aránya erősen a férfiak felé tolódott el, a családok ugyanis tradicionálisan a fiúgyerekeket részesítik előnyben, és sokszor döntenek az abortusz mellett, ha a terhesség során kiderül, hogy az illető családtag lánygyermekkel várandós.
Harijánában közel 1500 abortuszklinika működik, több térségben még mindig gyakori az illegális magzatelhajtás. Az állam ezt úgy akarja megfékezni, hogy a leánymagzatok megtartásához védőnői és pszichológiai támogatást is ígér az abortuszt fontolgató várandós nőknek, valamint a hatóságok létrehoztak egy ezzel foglalkozó munkacsoportot is. Ezen kívül a parlament elé került egy olyan javaslat is, miszerint minden olyan édesanyát, aki lánygyermeket hoz világra, 1000 rúpia (nemegész 12 dollár) pénzjutalomban részesítenének.
A razziát egyébként azután rendelték el, hogy az államban átmeneti javulás után 2020-tól ismét romlott a születéskori nemi arány, tavaly 910-re csökkent az előző évi 916-ról az 1000 fiújszülöttre jutó leányszületések száma. 2011-ben az összes indiai állam közül Harijanában volt a legtorzabb az újszülöttek nemi megoszlása, akkor 1000 fiúra csak 834 leány jutott.
