Az Ukrán Biztonsági Szolgálat (SZBU) éber munkatársai leleplezték a Kropivnickiji Városi Tanács egyik képviselőjét, aki védelmi zsarolással foglalkozó bűnbandát szervezett és irányított – számolt be szerdán az rbc.ua hírportál az SZBU Telegram-csatornájára hivatkozva.
A jelentés szerint a kropivnickiji városi képviselő-testület elnökhelyettesének vezetésével a bűnözők 92 ezer dollárt zsaroltak ki egy helyi üzletembertől, akinek közös üzlete volt az említett képviselővel. A sértettnek a pénzt nem létező tartozás kifizetéseként kellett átadnia az elkövetőknek.
A képviselőt Kropivnickijben vették őrizetbe az összeg második részének átadásakor. Az SZBU az első részlet kézhezvételének tényét is dokumentálta. A nyomozás szerint a bandában helyi bűnözők is voltak, akik védelmi zsarolásra szakosodtak. „A bűnözői csoport vezetőjének utasítására annak tagjai fiktív ürügyekkel pénzt követeltek a helyi lakosoktól. Visszautasítás esetén pszichés nyomást, fizikai erőszakot és halálos fenyegetést alkalmaztak” – írta az SZBU sajtószolgálata.
A házkutatások során a képviselőnél nagy mennyiségű, valószínűleg bűncselekményekből származó készpénz került elő. A banda vezetőjét a büntetőtörvénykönyv 189. cikkelyének 4. része alapján (hadiállapot alapján szervezett csoport által elkövetett zsarolás) alapján már meggyanúsították. Akár 12 év börtönbüntetésre is ítélhetik.

Ismeretlen személyek március 10-én felgyújtották az Ungvári Városi Tanács titkárjának, Arzen Melkumjan autóját. Erről maga a képviselő posztolt napközben a Facebookon.
Állítása szerint az autó hajnalban, 1.50 körül gyulladt ki a házuk kertjében, és biztos abban, hogy szándékos gyújtogatás történt. „Nem tudom, hogy kinek és miért kellett ezt tennie, de remélem, a rendőrök megtesznek mindent, hogy megtalálják a bűnösöket” – írta.
Az Ukrajinszka Pravda szerint az ukrán rendőrség is kiadott egy közleményt az eset miatt, és azt írták, hogy egy videó rögzítette azt, hogy miként keletkezett a tűz. Hozzátették: a hatályos jogszabályok szerint a gyújtogatókat három és tíz év közti börtönbüntetéssel sújthatják.

A megyei rendőrség azonosította azt a személyt, aki rátámadt a Rahói Járási Tanács egyik képviselőjére. A hatóságok már értesítették a tettest az ellene indult eljárásról.
A 46 éves áldozat elmondta, hogy az elkövető az esti órákban támadt rá, maszkot viselt, s egy vasbottal bántalmazta a képviselőt. Ezt követően eltűnt a helyszínről, az áldozatot pedig kórházba szállították, meg kellett műteni.
A támadó egy 24 éves tiszabogdányi férfi, tettének okát nem tudta megmagyarázni. Házában több fegyvert is lefoglaltak.
Az ügyben folyik az eljárás, a vizsgálatok megkezdődtek.

Artem Sevcsenko, a Belügyminisztérium szóvivője az Ukrajina 24 tv-csatorna adásában kijelentette: alkoholt és metadont találtak Anton Poljakov elhunyt parlamenti képviselő vérében.
„A legutóbbi adatok szerint csak annyit mondhatok, hogy az igazságügyi szakértők közölték a nyomozókkal, hogy az elhunyt testében egy kis adag alkohol mellett a metadont találtak. De pontosan milyen metadont, a halál beálltához képest mikor került a szervezetbe és hogy ez hogyan befolyásolta közvetlenül az áldozat halálát, az alapos tanulmányozást követően derül ki” – mondta Sevcsenko. Elmondása szerint a nyomozás két verziót vizsgál – „vagy bűncselekmény okozta a halálát, vagy nem. Vagy ő maga vette be a gyógyszert, ami okozhatta a halál beálltát, vagy megmérgezték”.
Október 8-án holtan találták Kijev Dnyiprovszkij kerületében Anton Poljakovot, a Za majbutne (Jövőért) képviselőcsoport parlamenti képviselőjét. A Parlamentbe a „Nép szolgája” párt színeiben került be. A 33 éves Anton Poljakov volt a Parlament korrupcióellenes politikát felügyelő bizottság védelmi-ipari komplexum reformja során a korrupcióellenes jogszabályok betartásával foglalkozó albizottság vezetője.
