Élelmiszerhamisításért, csalásért és 17 áldozat halálát okozó szándékos emberölésért ítélte el a romániai Iasi megyei törvényszék azt a két iraki és egy jordániai állampolgárt, akik 2020-ban metilalkoholt, vizet és kék tojásfestéket tartalmazó folyadékot palackoztak és adtak el egészségügyi szeszként – közölte pénteken a jászvásári Ziarul de Iasi című lap.
A 2020 októberében bíróság elé állított vádlottak a koronavírus-járvány miatt elrendelt rendkívüli állapot idején próbáltak hasznot húzni abból, hogy az országban többszörösére ugrott a fertőtlenítőszerek iránti kereslet.
A vád szerint az általuk hamisított és egy nagybani kereskedő révén a moldvai Iasi megye legalább hat településén forgalmazott Sante Med nevű termék 17 ember halálát okozta április második felében, amíg a hatóságok rájöttek, hogy tömeges metilalkohol-mérgezés történt.
A védelem azt próbálta elérni, hogy ne szándékos, hanem legfeljebb gondatlanságból elkövetett emberölésért ítéljék el a vádlottakat, arra hivatkozva, hogy – muzulmánok lévén – nem ismerték az alkoholfogyasztási szokásokat, és azt sem tudták, hogy a metilalkohol mérgező.
Egyszerűen egy olcsóbb összetevőt használtak a nagyobb nyereség elérése érdekében”
– idézte a védelem érveit a Ziarul de Iasi.
Az évek óta Romániában üzletelő, a Vörös sárkány nevű bukaresti kínai piacon is kereskedő vádlottak 5300 félliteres palack „egészségügyi szeszt” hamisítottak, amelyet 7 lejért (525 forint) forgalmaztak. A Sante Medet gyógyszeszként beállító címkén – amely szerint a terméknek 70 százalékban etilalkoholt kellett volna tartalmaznia – feltüntették azt, hogy „emberi fogyasztásra nem alkalmas”. A félliteres palackokban árult termék valójában ugyanilyen arányban metanolt tartalmazott.
A mérgező anyag koncentrációja olyan magas volt, hogy
Egyes áldozatok holttestében a halálos dózis háromszázszorosát mutatta ki az igazságügyi orvosszakértő.
Az áldozatok közül kettőnél utólag, kihantolásuk nyomán azonosították a halál okát. Utóbb az is kiderült: az áldozatok egy részének a községháza osztotta ki segélyként a hamis szeszt a járvány elleni védekezés céljából.
A Iasi megyei törvényszék által kiszabott halmazati büntetés mindhárom vádlott esetében meghaladja a húsz évet, a legsúlyosabb ítélet 22 év 9 hónap börtönbüntetés volt. Az áldozatok hozzátartozóinak fizetendő kártérítés összege meghaladja az 1,12 millió lejt (84 millió forint). Az ítélet nem jogerős.

Oroszországban már harmincegy halálos áldozata van a Mr. Cider nevű alkoholos italnak, amely rengeteg embert mérgezett meg az ország különböző régióban. Négy ember állapota jelenleg is válságos, a mérgezésben száznál is több ember érintett. Az ital forgalmazóját letartóztatták.
Június 5-én, hétfőn jelentették az első eseteket, hogy a helyben forgalmazott, Mr. Cider nevű ital Oroszország több régiójában is mérgezéseket okozott. Többek között Uljanovszkból, Szamarából, Nyizsnyij Novgorodból, valamint Penzából és Kurganból is jelentettek eseteket.
Az orosz közegészségügyi minisztérium szerint június 8-ig 101 ember kapott mérgezést az alkoholos italtól, közülük 31-en meghaltak, négyen pedig rendkívül súlyos állapotban vannak, kórházban küzdenek az életükért.
Letartóztatták a forgalmazót Anar Huszejnyovot, a Mr. Cidert forgalmazó vállalkozót, illetve két szamarai lakost és egy rendőrt letartóztattak az esettel összefüggésben. A két szamarai lakost és a rendőrt azzal gyanúsítják, hogy ők szervezték meg annak az alkoholtartalmú folyadéknak az ellopását egy rendőrségi raktárból, amelyből aztán a mérgező ital készült. Az italt csapolva forgalmazták.
Az Uljanovszki terület vezetője minden vállalkozót azonnal felszólított, hogy állítsa le a cÍder árusítását, Dimitrovgradban pedig arra kérte a lakosságot az ottani vezetés, hogy egy ideig lehetőség szerint tartózkodjanak az alkoholos italok fogyasztásától.
A Mr. Cider termékek forgalmát Oroszország-szerte blokkolták: folyamatosan vonják ki mindenhonnan, ahol az ital kapható volt. Ezenkívül a hatóságok úgy döntöttek: egyelőre elhalasztják, és egy későbbi időpontban rendezik meg az eredetileg június 17-ére tervezett, I Love Cider 2023 nevű moszkvai fesztivált.

Alekszej Navalnij Vlagyimir Putyin orosz elnök politikájának bírálójaként vált ismertté. 2020 augusztusában egy szibériai útja során – nyugati laboratóriumok szerint – idegméreggel követtek el támadást ellene. Külföldi gyógykezelése után 2021 januárjában visszatért Moszkvába, ahol letartóztatták, majd egy korábbi felfüggesztett szabadságvesztése letöltésére ítélték, miután a hatóságok szerint megsértette a feltételes szabadlábra helyezés előírásait. Ezután újabb eljárások indultak ellene. Navalnij azzal vádolta az orosz államot, hogy az életére tört, ezt azonban Moszkva továbbra is tagadja. Az EJEB ítéletében megállapította, hogy az orosz hatóságok által az ügyben lefolytatott vizsgálat nem volt nyilvános, és nem vette figyelembe az áldozat jogát az eljárásban való részvételhez, továbbá nem vizsgálta ki az állítólagos politikai indíték vádját, valamint az állami ügynökök esetleges részvételét a merényletben. Legalább 18 ember vesztette életét Oroszország három régiójában, miután mérgező almabort fogyasztottak – közölték hétfőn orosz hírügynökségek.
Uljanovszk megyéből 16, Szamara megyéből két halálesetet jelentettek, Udmurtföldön pedig egy férfi és egy nő került súlyos állapotban kórházba. Az uljanovszki régióban hétfőn 35 mérgezéses esetről tudtak, a legtöbb érintett dimitrovgrádi lakos. Az első áldozatok szombaton fordultak orvoshoz.
A mérgezést egy Miszter Szidr elnevezésű, elviteles sörkimérésekben csapolt almabor okozta, amelyet két nagyobb hálózat forgalmazott.
Anna Popova, a fogyasztóvédelmi felügyelet (Roszpotrebnadzor) vezetője utasította a hatóság regionális igazgatóságait, hogy azonosítsák, és foglalják le az összes fellelhető tételt. A szamarai Andi cég által gyártott ital forgalmazását országosan betiltotta az alkoholpiaci szabályozó szolgálat (Roszalkogolregulirovanie).
A mérgezés okát egyelőre hivatalosan nem közölték. Az előzetes jelentések szerint a Miszter Szidr metil-alkoholt (metanolt) tartalmazott.
A Nyomozó Bizottság (SZK) közölte, hogy őrizetbe vett egy Szamara megyei vállalkozót, aki az italt forgalmazta.
A gyanú szerint az általa nyújtott szolgáltatás során nem tartotta be a biztonsági előírásokat, és gondatlanságból több ember halálát okozta.
Oroszországban az alkoholforgalmazási előírások szigorúsága ellenére sem ritkaság a tömeges metanolmérgezés. Irkutszkban 2016 decemberében 78 ember halt meg, miután metilalkoholt tartalmazó Bojarisnyik (galagonya) elnevezésű, 93 százalékban szeszalapú fürdő-testápolót ittak. Jekatyerinburgban 2021 októberében 18, tavaly januárban pedig Hanti- és Manysiföldön 13 ember vesztette életét metanoltól.
