За повідомленням Al Jazeera, виконуючий обов’язки губернатора північно-східної афганської провінції загинув, коли нападник протаранив начинений вибухівкою автомобіль, в якому їхав Нісар Ахмад Ахмаді, виконуючий обов’язки губернатора провінції Бадахшан на півночі Афганістану, в столиці провінції Файзабаді.
Вибух був настільки потужним, що загинули губернатор і його водій, а ще шестеро людей отримали поранення.
Чиновники нагадали, що інцидент стався через кілька місяців після того, як начальник поліції регіону був убитий в результаті подібного нападу, відповідальність за який пізніше взяло на себе угруповання, пов’язане з ІДІЛ.
Наразі невідомо, хто стоїть за терактом, який став першим відомим нападом на чиновника Талібану в Афганістані за останні кілька тижнів. Муазуддін Ахмаді, начальник управління культури та інформації провінції, підкреслив: було очевидно, що ціллю нападу став губернатор.
З моменту приходу до влади в країні талібів у серпні 2021 року, після виведення американських військ з Афганістану, ситуація з безпекою дещо покращилася, але ІДІЛ залишається серйозною загрозою в регіоні. Як ми повідомляли раніше, минулого року в результаті вибуху бомби, влаштованого терористом-смертником, загинув голова поліції провінції, відповідальність за напад пізніше взяла на себе ІДІЛ.
У квітні минулого року в результаті вибуху бомби також загинув керівник департаменту гірничодобувної промисловості. ІДІЛ, яка зазвичай переслідує сектантські цілі, є найбільшою загрозою для Талібану в Афганістані: озброєне угруповання відповідальне за сотні смертей і не цурається вбивати іноземців та представників меншин.

Прес-секретар Управління поліції провінції Мухаммед Асиф Вазірі повідомив, що вибух пролунав під час засідання за участю представників місцевої влади та персоналу адміністрації губернатора. Крім губернатора провінції загинули ще двоє людей.

За даними влади Афганістану, сильні холоди спричинили в країні смерть щонайменше 150 осіб.
Люди померли через надзвичайно сувору зиму, повідомив представник «Талібану». Мільйони громадян потерпають через низьку температуру повітря, за тиждень кількість жертв холоду подвоїлася.
Афганістан переживає одну з найсуворіших зим: стовпчик термометра опускається до -28°C, що значно нижче середнього показника по країні, який цієї пори року зазвичай коливається від 0 до 5°C.
Ситуація погіршується через обмежений розподіл гуманітарної допомоги в країні у зв’язку з тим, що таліби заборонили жінкам працювати в державних установах. У неділю ООН повідомила, що доставила допомогу, зокрема 565 700 ковдр.
Водночас, за даними організації, через одну з найхолодніших за останні роки зиму Афганістан потребує набагато більше допомоги. На складність ситуації вказує і те, що всій країні замерзло близько 70 тисяч голів худоби. Ці дані в інтерв’ю CNN підтвердив речник міністерства з питань надзвичайних ситуацій «Талібану».
Із серпня 2021 року, коли до влади в Афганістані прийшло ісламістське угруповання, країна поринула в економічну та гуманітарну кризу. Держава постраждала також від стихійних лих і третій рік поспіль переживає посуху.
За оцінками міжнародних організацій, 28,3 мільйона людей – приблизно дві третини населення Афганістану – потребують термінової гуманітарної допомоги, щоб вижити. Утім близько десяти великих гуманітарних організацій призупинили свою діяльність у країні з грудня, коли таліби наказали всім місцевим і міжнародним організаціям не працевлаштовувати жінок, інакше їм загрожує позбавлення ліцензій.
У зв’язку з цим з кількаденним візитом для зустрічі з лідерами «Талібану» в Кабулі до Афганістану вирушила низка високопосадовців ООН. Вони закликали скасувати заборону та поставити на перше місце благо країни.

Декілька людей загинули внаслідок вибуху біля військового аеропорту Кабула в Афганістані, пише Al Jazeera.
За словами представника міністерства внутрішніх справ, керованого талібами, вибух біля аеропорту призвів до численних жертв.
„Сьогодні вранці біля військового аеропорту Кабула стався вибух, внаслідок якого кілька наших громадян зазнали мученицької смерті та поранень”, – заявив агентству Reuters прессекретар Абдул Нафі Такор, додавши, що ведеться розслідування.
Місцеві жителі розповіли, що близько 8:00 за місцевим часом у районі військової частини сильно укріпленого аеропорту було чути гучний вибух.
