Kedden pokolgépes merényletet kíséreltek meg Haszán Sejk Mohamud szomáliai elnök konvoja ellen Mogadishuban, Szomália fővárosában – számolt be az Origo.
A helyi rendőrség, illetve egy kormányzati és egy katonai tisztségviselő közlése szerint az államfő túlélte a merényletet, de a robbantásban legkevesebb öt civil életét vesztette.
A biztonsági erők egyik tagja szerint az elkövetők egy nagy erejű pokolgépet rejtettek el egy épületben azon az útvonalon, ahol az elnöki járműoszlop elhaladt. A robbanás következtében több embert is maguk alá temettek a romok.
Az al-Kaida nemzetközi terrorhálózattal szövetséges al-Shabaab dzsihadista szervezet időközben bejelentette, hogy céljuk az elnök meggyilkolása volt.
„Harcosaink Haszán Sejk Mohamud járműoszlopát támadták meg, ahogy elhagyta az elnöki palotát a repülőtér irányába” – közölték a dzsihadisták Telegram-oldalukon. A történteket követően a rendőrség legalább négy újságírót vett őrizetbe és átkutatta a merényletről beszámoló helyi Riszala rádió helyiségeit.

Dróntámadásban halt meg a legtöbb civil Ukrajnában januárban – derült ki egy ENSZ-jelentésből.
A Reuters által ismertetett dokumentum szerint az ukrajnai háborúban az előző hónapban 139 civil halt meg, 738-an pedig megsebesültek. A halálesetek 27 százalékát és a sérülések 30 százalékát okozták rövid hatótávolságú drónok.
A drónok, amelyeket a háború kezdetén leginkább segédeszköznek tekintettek, mára az ukrajnai háború egyik legfontosabb fegyverévé váltak: 2024-ben mind Ukrajna, mind Oroszország jóval több mint egymillió darabot gyártott belőlük.

„Különösen aggasztó a gyermekek körében történt sérülések és halálesetek számának növekedése. Az első három negyedévben több gyermek halt meg vagy sérült meg, mint 2023 egészében” – mondta DiCarlo.
Az ENSZ Emberi Jogi Hivatalának adatai szerint a háború kezdete óta legalább 12 456 ember vesztette életét, köztük 669 gyermek. A sebesültek száma 28 382, közöttük 1833 gyermek.
Csak 2023 első kilenc hónapjában több mint 580 oktatási és egészségügyi intézmény károsodott meg vagy semmisült meg.
Szeretném ismét hangsúlyozni, hogy minden támadást a civil lakosság és a civil infrastruktúra ellen határozottan elítélünk
– tette hozzá az ENSZ főtitkárhelyettese.
DiCarlo arról is beszámolt, hogy a háború kezdete óta 10 humanitárius dolgozó vesztette életét szolgálatteljesítés közben, 41-en pedig megsebesültek.

Októberben a polgári áldozatok 80%-át a frontvonal közelében jegyezték fel, többek között a légi bombázások, tüzérségi lövedékek, rakétavető csapások és pilóta nélküli légi járművek okozta sérülések következtében.
Októberben minimum 183 civil vesztette életét és 903 személy sebesült meg az ukrajnai háború következtében, áll az ENSZ jelentésében.
A halottak 45%-a 60 év feletti volt. Az áldozatok között 9 gyermek meghalt és 49 megsérült.
Az orosz fegyveres erők fokozták a nagy hatótávolságú dróntámadásokat, egy hónap alatt több mint 1900 ilyen csapást regisztráltak. 6 civil meghalt, további 21 pedig megsérült a lelőtt lőszerekből származó vagy lehulló törmelékek miatt, valamint károk keletkeztek a polgári tulajdonban és infrastruktúrában. Az áldozatok és sérülések mellett a támadások csaknem napi gyakorisága, valamint az állandó légiriadó szirénák, a polgári lakosság életkörülményeinek jelentős romlását okozta.
Az Egyesült Nemzetek Szervezete megjegyezte hogy októberben a polgári áldozatok 80%-át a frontvonal közelében jegyezték fel, különösen légi bombázások, tüzérségi tüzek, rakétavetők és rövid hatótávolságú pilóta nélküli légi járművek csapásai következtében. A legtöbb áldozat Herszon, Harkiv és Donyeck régióban volt.
A polgári áldozatok túlnyomó többsége, 94%-a, valamint az oktatási és egészségügyi létesítményekben keletkezett károk 96%-a októberben továbbra is az ukrán kormány által ellenőrzött területen történt.

Legkevesebb 30-an életüket vesztették egy lakóházat ért izraeli légicsapásban Bardzsa városában, Libanon középső részén szerdára virradóra – közölte a libanoni polgári védelmi szolgálat.

Az Ukrajna elleni teljes körű orosz invázió kezdete óta több mint ezer ember sérült meg orosz taposóaknák miatt, köztük 100 gyermek – számolt be hétfőn az rbc.ua hírportál aknamentési, polgári védelmi és környezetbiztonsági főosztály Telegram-közlésére hivatkozva.
A jelentés szerint „2024. november 1-jéig az ellenséges aknák és a háború robbanóanyag-maradványai miatt az Ukrajna elleni teljes körű invázió kezdete óta 1068 ember sebesült meg, köztük 100 gyermek és 968 felnőtt”.
A főosztály azt is közölte, hogy a sérültek között 199 gazdálkodó, 80 nyugdíjas, 112 kritikus infrastruktúra-alkalmazott, 79 sofőr és 90 diák van.
Az ukrán hatóságok büntetőeljárást indítanak a hadviselés szabályainak és szokásainak oroszok általi megsértése miatt az orosz aknák ukránokat megsebesítő minden egyes detonációjának tényállása alapján.

2024 augusztusában a katonai műveletek következtében Ukrajnában 184 civil vesztette életét, köztük nyolc gyermek, és 856 civil megsebesült – áll az Egyesült Nemzetek Szervezetének (ENSZ) jelentésében.
Amint azt az ENSZ Emberi Jogi Főbiztosának Hivatala összefoglalójában megjegyezte az áldozatok túlnyomó többsége Ukrajna törvényes hatóságai által ellenőrzött területeken tartózkodott, vagyis azokon a területeken, amelyekre az orosz hadsereg csapást mér.
A 184 halottból 10 ember az Oroszország által megszállt területeken élt.
A háború csaknem minden áldozata augusztusban rakéta-, bomba- és tüzérségi csapások során halt meg: két ember aknán robbant fel.
Általánosságban elmondható, hogy az ENSZ becslései szerint 2022. február 24-e óta, amikor Oroszország teljes körű háborút indított Ukrajna ellen, 11 743 embert öltek meg, és 24 614 ukrán civil sebesült meg a harci cselekmények következtében.
A jelentések gyakoriságának csökkenését valószínűleg a polgári áldozatok számának csökkenése befolyásolta. Az áldozatok túlnyomó többségét, a 8427 halottat az invázió első évében regisztrálták.
