A biztonsági erők külföldi hírszerző szolgálatok több mint harminc segítőjét fogták el – közölte kedden Aljakszandr Lukasenka fehérorosz elnök.
Úgy fogalmazott, hogy a külföldi terroristák éppen „a társadalom legaljasabbjaira hagyatkoznak”.
Mint mondta, a biztonsági szolgálatoknak még sok a teendőjük e tekintetben.
Lukasenka kijelentette, hogy Fehéroroszország kész az együttműködés elmélyítésére Oroszországgal, és köszönetet mondott az eddig átadott információkért.
A fehérorosz elnök márciusban közölte, hogy őrizetbe vettek több személyt a macsuliscsi katonai repülőtéren februárban végrehajtott robbantással kapcsolatban. Megerősítette, hogy egy orosz Berijev A-50 típusú katonai repülőgépet ért támadás február 26-án, a gép azonban „nem rongálódott meg súlyosan”. A fő gyanúsítottat, valamint több mint húsz, Fehéroroszországban tartózkodó tettestársát elfogták.

Az előző héten a belorusz partizánok és a száműzetésben élő ellenzék tagjai vállalták a felelősséget egy orosz A–50-es katonai felderítő repülőgép elleni dróntámadásért a belorusz főváros, Minszk közelében lévő repülőtéren. Az akció jelentősen meggyengítette az orosz légierőt a térségben.

Négy év börtönbüntetésre ítélte a fehérorosz bíróság az ország egyik volt diplomatáját az ügyészség vasárnapi közlése szerint. A korábban Varsóba menekült és a fehérorosz ellenzékhez csatlakozott Uladzimir Asztapenkát emellett pénzbírság megfizetésére is kötelezték, ingóságait lefoglalták.
Az ügyészség arról tájékoztatott, hogy Asztapenkát öt évre ítélték, ám a nemzeti ünnep keretében elrendelt amnesztia nyomán a büntetés időtartamát négy évre csökkentették.
Uladzimir Asztapenka a 2020 augusztusában rendezett, vitatott tisztaságú, az országot 1994 óta irányító Aljakszandr Lukasenka győzelmével végződő elnökválasztás után beadta lemondását. Döntését azzal indokolta, hogy munkáját nem tudja megfelelően ellátni, mert „olyan embernek kell engedelmeskednie, aki nem élvezi a fehérorosz nép támogatását”.
A diplomatát ezt követően Aljakszandr Lukasenka hazarendelte, Asztapenka azonban az ellenzéki fehérorosz Zerkalo (Tükör) nevű hírportál szerint Minszk helyett családjával együtt Varsóba távozott, és csatlakozott a fehérorosz ellenzéki „ideiglenes egységkormányhoz” (árnyékkormányhoz).
Asztapenka 2018-tól hazarendeléséig Fehéroroszország Buenos Aires-i, limai, Santiago de Chile-i és asuncióni nagykövete volt, korábban pedig Kubában képviselte hazáját.

Lettország május közepéig meghosszabbította a rendkívüli állapotot a Fehéroroszországgal közös határán – közölte a lett belügyminisztérium kedden.
A május 10-ig tartó rendkívüli állapot révén a lett határvédelem továbbra is törvényesen fordíthatja vissza a határon illegálisan átlépő migránsokat.
A rendkívüli állapotot 2021 augusztusában vezették be a határ mentén, mert illegális bevándorlók ezrei kíséreltek meg Fehéroroszországból Lettországba, s így az EU-ba bejutni.
A belügyi közlés szerint 2022 novemberétől ismét megemelkedett az illegális határátlépők száma, a döntésben azonban fontos szerepet játszik az is, hogy – ellentétben Lengyelországgal és Litvániával – Lettország egyelőre nem épített kerítést a fehérorosz határnál. Ezen kívül mérvadó volt Oroszország Ukrajna ellen indított háborúja is: a közel egy éve folyó harcokban Minszk Moszkva szövetségese, Lettország pedig Fehéroroszországgal és Oroszországgal is határos.
A belügyminisztérium adatai szerint a rendkívüli állapot másfél éve tartó hatálya idején több mint 9600 alkalommal regisztráltak határsértést. Brüsszel azzal vádolta Aljakszandr Lukasenka fehérorosz elnököt, hogy szervezetten szállít migránsokat az EU külső határához.
A Fehéroroszországgal szintén határos Litvánia is hasonló álláspontot képvisel: decemberben azzal vádolta meg Minszket, hogy fagyási sérülésektől szenvedő bevándorlókat csempész át a két ország között felhúzott drótkerítésen.

Öt év szigorított fegyházra ítéltek Fehéroroszországban egy férfit azzal a váddal, hogy toborzást folytatott Ukrajna javára, és „cinikus” falfirkákat helyezett el – közölte hétfőn honlapján a belorusz legfelsőbb bíróság. A tájékoztatás szerint az ügyben illetékes Homel megyei bíróság súlyosbította a vádlott eredetileg enyhébb büntetését. Az ítélet nem jogerős, megfellebbezhető.
A férfi a vádak szerint Belarusz területén tartózkodva a közösségi hálózatokon ismételten olyan bejegyzéseket tett, amelyekben arra ösztönözte az embereket, hogy csatlakozzanak az – ukrán nemzeti gárdához tartozó – Azov ezredhez, a fehérorosz katonákból és Ukrajnába emigrált fehérorosz állampolgárokból verbuvált, Kasztusz Kalinouszki 19. századi forradalmár nevét viselő zászlóaljhoz, valamint egyéb ukrán erőkhöz, illetve támogassák ezek tevékenységét.
A törvényszék megállapította azt is, hogy a férfi pénzt is átutalt a Kasztusz Kalinouszki zászlóalj részére.

Fehéroroszországban ismét őrizetbe vették a 2020-as elnökválasztáson részt vevő Andrej Dzmitrieu volt elnökjelöltet, a Mondd el az igazat! nevű társadalmi szervezet társelnökét. A Vjaszna belorusz jogvédő szervezet közölte, hogy a 41 éves aktivistát szerdán őrizetbe vették a biztonsági erők minszki otthona közelében. Az intézkedés alapjául szolgáló vád egyelőre nem ismert. A férfit a hírhedt minszki Okresztina utcai fogházban tartják fogva.
A belorusz hatóságok egyelőre nem reagáltak a 2021 augusztusában egyszer már őrizetbe vett ellenzéki politikus ügyében. Dzmitrieu a 2020-as belorusz elnökválasztáson a szavazatok 1,21 százalékát szerezte meg, és negyedik helyen végzett az öt jelölt közül. Többször is felszólalt a jelöltségből kizárt Viktar Babarika ellenzéki vezető, Szjarhej Tihanovszkij blogger és Valerij Capalko ügyében.
A vitatott tisztaságú választáson az országot 27 éve irányító Aljakszandr Lukasenkát hirdették ki hivatalosan elnöknek a szavazatok 80,1 százalékával.
Az országban az MTI szerint tömegtüntetések kezdődtek, amelyeket a biztonsági erők levertek. Az ellenzék szerint meghamisították az eredményeket, és valójában jelöltjük, Szvjatlana Cihanouszkaja győzött, aki a választást követően az ellenzék több vezető tagjával együtt külföldön keresett menedéket, miközben a hatóságok több mint 35 ezer embert vettek őrizetbe, köztük számos ellenzékit.
