A kolumbiai főváros, Bogotá El Dorado nemzetközi repülőterének közeléből eltávolíttatta Kolumbusz Kristóf és I. Izabella kasztíliai királynő bronz emlékművét a kolumbiai kulturális minisztérium, miután az őslakosok megpróbálták ledönteni a szobrokat.

Polgárháborús állapotok jellemzik Kolumbiát és a kormánynak eddig nem sikerült kezelnie a feldühödött tömeget, ezért Iván Duque kolumbiai elnök bejelentette pénteken, hogy kormánya további hétezer katonát vezényel az erőszakos tüntetések fő helyszínére Valle del Cauca tartományba – tájékoztat róla az MTI.
Az Index korábban többször beszámolt róla, hogy a dél-amerikai országban már több mint egy hónapja forradalmi események követik egymást, ami egy országos sztrájkból fajult erőszakhullámá.
A hivatalos adatok szerint pénteken újabb négy ember halt meg, ezzel legkevesebb negyvenhat ember vesztette életét április vége óta a zavargásokban.
Azonban a sztrájkbizottság szerint a halottak számamár ötven fölött van, és több mint ötszázan eltűntek. A védelmi minisztérium szerint eddig mintegy ezerhétszázan sérültek meg, köztük a biyottsági erők több mint kilencszáz tagja.
Az események leginkább Valle del Cauca tartomány fővárosában, Caliban váltak kezelhetetlenné, ezért is rendelt el Clara Luz Roldan, a tartomány kormányzója kijárási tilalmat a városban.
Eredetileg békés tüntetések egy adóreform ellen irányultak, amelyet azóta visszavontak, ám az azóta az erőszak napról-napra csak fokózódik.
A tüntetők találtak maguknak újabb „témákat”, mint például a tervezett egészségügyi reform, illetve akormány és gerillák közötti megállapodás, melyet 2016-ban egy békemegállapodás zárt le. Az ötven évig tartó konfliktusban a hivatalos becslések szerint több mint kétszázhatvanezren haltak meg, hatvanezren sebesültek meg és 6,9 millióan menekültek el otthonukból.

Április vége óta számos tüntetés és zavargás volt Kolumbia különböző városaiban. Az ombudsmani hivatal legfrissebb adatai szerint eddig legalább 42 ember halt meg a tüntetésekkel összefüggésben, sokan a rendőri erőszak következtében.

Követeléslista
Az április végén meghirdetett országos sztrájkkal eredetileg egy adóreform ellen tiltakoztak, amelyet azóta visszavont a bogotái kormány. A sztrájk vezetői május közepén követeléslistát nyújtottak be a kormánynak, ebben egyebek között szerepel, hogy szüntessék be a katonák bevetését a tüntetéseken, a rendőrség lőfegyverhasználatát, a biztonsági erők tagjainak nők ellen elkövetett szexuális erőszakcselekményeit. Követelik egyben, hogy az ENSZ és az egyházak képviselői is vegyenek részt a kormánnyal folytatott tárgyalásokon. Újabban az egészségügyi reformmal szembeni ellenállás és a törékeny békefolyamat melletti kiállás is szerepel a tiltakozók céljai között.
A bogotái kormány 2016-ban kötött békemegállapodást a Kolumbiai Forradalmi Fegyveres Erők (FARC) nevű szélsőbaloldali gerillaszervezettel, ezt követően az ország gazdasági mutatói jelentős javulásnak indultak. A megállapodással lezárult, mintegy ötven éven tartó konfliktusban a hivatalos becslések szerint több mint 260 ezren haltak meg, és 6,9 millióan menekültek el otthonukból.

Legalább negyvenkét ember halt meg és 168-an tűntek el eddig a kolumbiai tüntetések során, amelyek április 28-án kezdődtek egy vitatott adóreform miatt – közölte a bogotái ombudsmani hivatal szerdán. Május 5-én még „csak” huszonnégy halálos áldozatról szólt a tájékoztatás, amely szerint már akkor több mint 1500 sebesültet tartottak számon.
A Temblores nevű, rendőri erőszakot monitorozó civil szervezet hasonló számokról, negyven civil és egy rendőr halottról számolt be. A tiltakozások, amelyek egy azóta visszavont adóreform-tervezet miatt kezdődtek, szerdán is folytatódnak az egészségügy tervezett reformja, a rendőri erőszak és a biztonság általános hiánya ellen. A már mintegy két hete tartó tüntetések központja továbbra is a Kolumbia északnyugati részén található Cali, az ország harmadik legnépesebb városa.
Az ENSZ és az Európai Unió is aggodalmát fejezte ki a hatósági túlkapásokról érkező jelentések miatt. A kolumbiai külügyminisztérium pénteken óva intett mindenkit az objektivitást nélkülöző állásfoglalásoktól, amelyek tovább mélyítik az ellentéteket.
Bár a tüntetések többsége békés, akadnak erőszakos megmozdulások is, amelyeket a kormány szerint illegális csoportok – köztük a magát Nemzeti Felszabadító Hadseregnek (ELN) nevező marxista milícia, illetve az ugyancsak szélsőbaloldali, Kolumbiai Forradalmi Fegyveres Erők (FARC) nevű gerillaszervezetből távozott csoportok – szítanak.
Kolumbiában április 28-án robbantak ki tüntetések a tervezett adóreform miatt. Ivan Duque elnök ezek hatására visszavonatta a pénzügyminisztérium által előterjesztett adóreformot, de a tiltakozások folytatódtak. Az államfő kérte a kongresszust, hogy a pénzügyi bizonytalanság elkerülése végett sürgősen fogadjon el egy új, konszenzuson alapuló adócsomagot.
A kabinet a koronavírus-járvány miatt keletkezett költségvetési hiány csökkentése érdekében kényszerül átalakítani az adórendszert. A többi között mérsékelni akarta a adókedvezményeket, növelni egyes csoportok személyi jövedelemadóját, és el akarta törölni bizonyos árucikkek és szolgáltatások általános forgalmi adó alóli mentességét.

A hivatalos adatok sokkal alacsonyabbak, mint amelyeket az megmozdulásokat követő civil szervezetek (köztük a Tremblores) közzétettek: szerintük 37-en estek a rendőrségi túlkapások áldozatául a tüntetések kezdete óta.
A tiltakozások, amelyek egy azóta visszavont adóreform-tervezet miatt kezdődtek, folytatódnak az egészségügy tervezett reformja, a rendőri erőszak és a biztonság általános hiánya ellen.
Az államügyészi és az ombudsmani hivatal jelezte, hogy 548 feltételezett eltűnést jelentettek náluk. Közülük 189 embert már megtaláltak, 359 hollétének felderítése pedig folyamatban van. A már tizedik napja tartó országos tüntetések központja továbbra is a Kolumbia északnyugati részén található Cali, az ország harmadik legnépesebb városa.
Caliban az erőszak több mint húsz ember életét követelte civil szervezetek szerint. A hatóságok 1200 katonát vezényeltek a városba a rend helyreállítására. Az éjszaka folyamán is folytatódtak a zavargások, ketten megsebesültek egy lövöldözésben.
Eközben Iván Duque kolumbiai elnök a barikádok eltávolítására szólította fel a tiltakozókat. Duque szerint 733 úttorlaszt építettek április 28. óta, amelyek akadályozzák az üzemanyag-, élelmiszer- és gyógyszerellátást. Az államfő pénteken újra jelezte: kész tárgyalni a megmozdulást kezdeményező nemzeti sztrájkbizottsággal a kedélyek lecsillapítása érdekében.
Az ENSZ és az Európai Unió is aggodalmát fejezte ki a hatósági túlkapásokról érkező jelentések miatt. A kolumbiai külügyminisztérium pénteken óva intett mindenkit az objektivitást nélkülöző állásfoglalásoktól, amelyek tovább mélyítik az ellentéteket.
Diego Molano védelmi miniszter elégedetlenségét fejezte ki a kormányerők ellen a közösségi oldalakon zajló stigmatizációs kampány miatt.
Bár a tüntetések többsége békés, akadnak erőszakos megmozdulások is, amelyeket a kormány szerint illegális csoportok – köztük a magát Nemzeti Felszabadító Hadseregnek (ELN) nevező marxista milícia, illetve az ugyancsak szélsőbaloldali, Kolumbiai Forradalmi Fegyveres Erők (FARC) nevű gerillaszervezetből távozott csoportok – szítanak.
Kolumbiában április 28-án robbantak ki tüntetések a tervezett adóreform miatt. Duque ezek hatására visszavonatta a pénzügyminisztérium által előterjesztett adóreformot, de a tiltakozások folytatódtak. Az államfő kérte a kongresszust, hogy a pénzügyi bizonytalanság elkerülése végett sürgősen fogadjon el egy új, konszenzuson alapuló adócsomagot.
A kabinet a koronavírus-járvány miatt keletkezett költségvetési hiány csökkentése érdekében kényszerül átalakítani az adórendszert. A többi között mérsékelni akarta a adókedvezményeket, növelni egyes csoportok személyi jövedelemadóját, és el akarta törölni bizonyos árucikkek és szolgáltatások általános forgalmi adó alóli mentességét.

Hetedik napja tartanak a tüntetések Bogotában és más kolumbiai nagyvárosokban, szerdán legkevesebben negyvenhatan sérültek meg. Helyszíni jelentések szerint a tiltakozók még a parlamentbe is megpróbáltak bejutni. Akkora a káosz, hogy fővárosban leállt a koronavírus-járvány ellen oltási kampány és a tesztelés.
Claudia López bogotái polgármester a Twitteren azt írta, hogy „brutális” mértékben fokozódott az erőszak, harminc civil és tizenhat rendőr megsérült a demonstrációkon. „A pusztítás azt jelenti, hogy kevesebb busz fog közlekedni” – figyelmeztetett a polgármester.
Az El Espectador című lap arról tudósított, hogy a tüntetők mintegy 25 rendőrőrsöt támadtak meg, többet felgyújtottak. Nemcsak Bogotában, hanem más nagyvárosokban, köztük Medellinben és Caliban is voltak erőszakcselekmények és rongálások. Az El Tiempo című lap az ombudsmani hivatalra hivatkozva azt írta szerdán, hogy már 24 halálos áldozata van a zavargásoknak, és eddig több mint 840-en megsérültek.
A tüntetők szerdán megpróbáltak behatolni a törvényhozás mindkét házának helyt adót Capitolium épületébe. Claudia López szerint lebontották a kerítést, de a rohamrendőrök kiszorították őket a helyszínről. Az épületben tartózkodókat evakuálták.
Alejandro Gómez, a fővárosi egészségügyi titkárság vezetője közölte szerdán, hogy a zavargások miatt leállították Bogotában a koronavírus elleni oltási kampányt, és PCR-teszteket sem végeznek. Felszólította a tüntetőket, hogy tisztelettel viszonyuljanak az orvosokhoz, és ne akadályozzák a mentőkocsik közlekedését.

Kolumbiában múlt szerdán robbantak kitüntetések a kormány tervezett adóreformjai ellen. Az erőszakos tiltakozásokban húsznál több ember haltak meg, és több mint 800-an megsebesültek. Az egyik városban a rendőrök tüzet nyitottak a tüntetőkre.
A híradások szerint a legtöbb, harmincöt ember eltűnését a nyugat-kolumbiai Valle del Cauca megye székhelyéről, Cali városából jelentették.
Az ENSZ kedden elítélte a tüntetőkkel szembeni aránytalan hatósági fellépését. Marta Hurtado, a világszervezet Emberi Jogi Főbiztosságának (OHCHR) szóvivője genfi sajtókonferenciáján kiemelte Cali városát, ahol a rendőrök tüzet nyitottak a tiltakozókra.
Iván Duque kolumbiai elnök a tüntetések hatására vasárnap visszavonatta a pénzügyminisztérium által előterjesztett adóreformot. Az államfő kérte a kongresszust, hogy a pénzügyi bizonytalanság elkerülése végett sürgősen fogadjon el egy új, konszenzuson alapuló adócsomagot. Leszögezte, hogy továbbra is szükségesnek tartja a kormány által szorgalmazott adóreformot, amely alapvető fontosságú a kolumbiai pénzügyi rendszer stabilizálása, az adósbesorolás fenntartása és a szociális programok finanszírozása szempontjából.
A kabinet a koronavírus-járvány miatt keletkezett költségvetési hiány csökkentése érdekében kényszerül átalakítani az adórendszert. A többi között mérsékelni akarta a adókedvezményeket, növelni egyes csoportok személyi jövedelemadóját, és el akarta törölni bizonyos árucikkek és szolgáltatások általános forgalmi adó alóli mentességét.
Iván Duque kedden közölte, hogy a kormány kész össznemzeti párbeszédre a helyzet rendezése érdekében. Arra szólította fel a polgárokat, hogy utasítsák el az erőszakot, oltalmazzák a legveszélyeztetettebbeket, támogassák a koronavírus-járvány elleni oltási kampányt és a gazdaság újraindítását. Fogadkozott, hogy a kormány meghallgatja a polgárokat, és megoldásokat dolgoz ki a célok eléréséhez.
A kolumbiai rendőrség kedden közölte, hogy több mint két tucat esetet vizsgálnak ki, amelyek során felmerült a rendőri brutalitás gyanúja. A védelmi miniszter azt állította, hogy illegális fegyveres csoportok szivárogtak be a tüntetők közé, hogy erőszakot szítsanak.
