A norvég hatóságok szerint egy orosz férfi, aki állítólag a Wagner-csoport nevű magánhadsereg tagja, átszökött Norvégiába, és politikai menedékjogot kért − írta meg a The Guardian.
Andrej Medvegyev, aki állítólag a Wagner-csoport magas rangú tisztjeként szolgált, Norvégiában kért menedéket − erősítették meg a hatóságok az Associated Pressnek.
A rendőrség Norvégia sarkvidéki területén múlt héten közölte, hogy egy személy illegálisan lépett be Oroszországból a határon át.
A csak külföldiként azonosított férfit a határőrök őrizetbe vették, miután a beszámolók szerint felkeresett egy magánházat a határvidéken, és segítséget kért.
Az ügyet átadták a norvég bevándorlási hatóságnak, a férfit Oslóba szállították, ahol a migrációs törvények megszegőinek központjába helyezték. A norvég rendőrség nem kívánta kommentálni az esetet.
A Meduza független orosz hírportál azt írja, hogy Medvegyev állítólag annak az egységnek a parancsnoka volt, amelynek tagja volt Jevgenyij Nuzsin, egy Wagner-zsoldos, akit a jelek szerint a csoport egy novemberben az interneten felbukkant videón egy kalapáccsal végzett ki.

Norvégiában kedden megkezdődött Vlagyimir Putyin orosz elnök egyik politikai bizalmasa fiának bírósági pere; Andrej Jakunyin tagadja az ellene felhozott vádat, amely szerint megsértette azt a norvég jogszabályt, amely megtiltja orosz állampolgárok számára, hogy drónokat reptessenek Norvégiában.
Az orosz–brit kettős állampolgársággal rendelkező Jakunyint az észak-norvégiai Hammerfestben tartóztatták le október 17-én, miután körülvitorlázta a jeges-tengeri Spitzbergák-szigetcsoportot, majd ezután a norvég tengerpart mentén hajózott.
A Spitzbergák több mint 800 kilométerre északra fekszik Norvégiától. A norvég rendőrség drónokat és elektronikai felszerelést foglalt le, miután rajtaütött a vitorláson.
A 47 éves Jakunyin ügyvédje, John Christian Elden szerint védence csak hegymászás, gleccsertúrázás és vitorlázás közben filmezett a drónnal, hozzátéve, hogy Jakunyint brit, nem pedig orosz állampolgárként kellene kezelniük a hatóságoknak.
Az NTB norvég hírügynökség szerint Jakunyint azzal vádolják, hogy számos alkalommal drónokat reptetett a Spitzbergák felett augusztus 3. és szeptember 6. között.
A vádlott édesapja Vlagyimir Jakunyin üzletember, Vlagyimir Putyin orosz elnök régi ismerőse, akit az amerikai külügyminisztérium a Krím félsziget 2014-es orosz elcsatolását követően szankciós listájára helyezett – számolt be az MTI.

Ketten életüket vesztették kedden egy helikopter-balesetben Norvégiában, a pilótát súlyos sérülésekkel kellett kórházba szállítani – közölte az ország középső részén található Trondelag régió rendőrsége Twitteren.
A helikopter a délelőtti órákban zuhant le a fővárostól, Oslótól nagyjából ötszáz kilométerre északra található Verdal település mellett egy mezőre. A segélyhívást a közeli repülőtérről adták le. A norvég sajtóban megjelent felvételek tanúsága szerint sűrű köd volt a térségben.
A szerencsétlenség oka egyelőre nem ismert. A helikopter két utasa, egy 68 éves férfi és egy azonos életkorú nő halt meg, aki kiránduló repülésen vett részt. Rajtuk és a pilótán kívül egy kutya is volt a fedélzeten. A négylábú túlélte a történteket, állatorvos gondjaira bízták.

A nurlani rendőrség megerősítette, hogy október 22-én, szombaton két orosz állampolgárt vettek őrizetbe. A fogvatartottak ugyanakkor kitartanak amellett, hogy nem sértettek meg semmilyen szabályt, és csak egyszerű turisták.

Egy héten belül harmadjára tartóztatott le az északnorvég rendőrség olyan orosz állampolgárokat, akik ott készítettek fotókat, ahol nem lett volna szabad.
A rendőrség nem adott bővebb tájékoztatást az ügyről, azt azonban elmondták, hogy egy olyan északnorvég megyében tartóztatták le az oroszokat, ahol számos katonai létesítmény, valamint kőolaj- és ipari kitermelő központok találhatók – írja a Moscow Times.
Az orosz állampolgároknál nagy mennyiségű, fényképezésre és filmezésre alkalmas eszközt találtak. A kihallgatáson az orosz állampolgárok azt vallották, hogy csak turisták.

A rendőrség nagy mennyiségű fényképészeti felszerelést, köztük egy drónt és több memóriakártyát foglalt le az 51 éves férfi pénteki letartóztatása során, aki beismerte, hogy drónt használt Norvégiában.
Ez már a második hasonló őrizetbe vétel egy héten belül. Norvégiában a szankciós rendelkezések értelmében tilos orosz állampolgároknak drónt irányítaniuk vagy repülőgépet vezetniük.
A rendőrség közleménye szerint nagy mennyiségű fotós felszerelést, a többi között egy drónt és több memóriakártyát is lefoglaltak az 51 éves férfi pénteki őrizetbe vételekor, aki el is ismerte, hogy drónt reptetett Norvégiában.
Jacob Bergh ügyész szerint a férfi felvételeket készített a kirkenesi repülőtérről és a hadsereg egyik helikopteréről. Hozzátette, hogy az ügybe bekapcsolódott a PST norvég titkosszolgálat is.
A gyanúsított elmondta, hogy a storskogi határátkelőn érkezett csütörtökön Norvégiába, és a Spitzbergákra indult volna tovább.
Norvégiában fokozott készültséget rendeltek el, miután az utóbbi hetekben drónokat észleltek a skandináv ország gáz- és olajlétesítményei körül, valamint az Északi Áramlat 1 és az Északi Áramlat 2 vezetékrendszeren szeptember 26-án keletkezett – szabotázsakciónak minősített – lékek nyomán.
Norvégia Európa legnagyobb gázellátójává lépett elő, miután Oroszország jelentősen korlátozta szállításait.

Szemtanúk beszámolója szerint drón repült át a Norvégia délnyugati részén található Kaarstoe gázfeldolgozó fölött, a rendőrség pénteken vizsgálatot indított az ügyben – írta a Stavanger Aftenblad című helyi napilap.
Az átrepüléssel valószínűleg megsértették a biztonsági előírásokat – tette hozzá az újság.
Kaarstoénél katonák állomásoznak. A norvég hatóságok az Északi Áramlat gázvezetékek elleni szabotázsakciót követően megerősítették az olaj- és gázlétesítmények védelmét.
Az olajbiztonságért felelős norvég hatóság még a szeptember végi támadások előtt figyelmeztette az energiavállalatokat, hogy vigyázzanak az azonosítatlan drónokkal.
Csütörtökön telefonos fenyegetés érte a Nyhamna gázüzemet, Európa egyik legnagyobb energiaexporttal foglalkozó létesítményét. Az ukrajnai háborút követően Norvégia Európa legnagyobb gázellátójává vált.

A fokozott intézkedések az Oroszországi Föderáció állampolgárai mozgósításával és a valószínűsíthető beutazási tilalommal vannak összefüggésben.
Norvégia megszigorítja a biztonsági intézkedéseket az Oroszországi Föderációval közös határszakaszon, és készen áll a határ lehető legrövidebb időn belüli teljes lezárására, jelentette ki Emily Enger Mel norvég igazságügyi és közbiztonsági miniszter, számolt be a High North News.
A miniszter elmondása szerint a 198 kilométeres norvég-orosz határszakaszon a szer-varangeri védelmi helyőrség járőröz. A határőrök egy újabb ellenőrző eszközt kapnak, érzékelőkkel ellátott rendőrhelikopter formájában.
„A rendőrség figyelemmel kíséri a sturskugi átkelőhelyet, és a határállomáson kívüli határterületen is megerősítik jelenlétüket. A rendőrségi helikopter hasznos eszköz lesz a határzóna norvég oldalról történő megfigyelésére” – mondta Emily Enger Mel.
Hangsúlyozta, hogy a fokozott ellenőrzési intézkedések az oroszországi mozgósítással és az orosz állampolgárok esetleges beutazási tilalmával vannak összefüggésben, aminek következtében megnőhet a Sturskug ellenőrzőponton kívüli illegális határátlépés kockázata.
A miniszter kijelentette, a norvég kormány készen áll arra, hogy szükség esetén gyorsan lezárja a határt.
„Kevés orosz állampolgár érkezik Norvégiába, Finnországhoz képest itt más a helyzet. Sturskug az egyetlen határállomásunk Oroszország irányában. Szoros párbeszédet folytatunk a norvég rendőrséggel és a norvég vámhatósággal a határon zajló események alakulását illetően, mindenkit ellenőriznek, aki az országba érkezik” – mondta Emily Enger Mel.

Miután egy híd összeomlott a norvégiai Tretten nevű településen hétfőn, egy teherautó a hídon rekedt függőleges helyzetben, egy autó viszont a Gudbrandsdalenben folyóba zuhant.
Hétfőn a dél-norvégiai Tretten településen összeomlott egy folyó fölött átívelő fahíd. Egy személygépkocsi a vízbe zuhant, egy teherautó pedig a megemelt szakaszon rekedt. Mindkét jármű vezetőjét kimentették, és jól vannak – közölte a helyi rendőrség.
A hidat 2012-ben adták át – írja az AP News.
A mentőakcióban egy helikopter is segített, amellyel sikerült kihúzni a teherautó sofőrjét. Az autó vezetője segítség nélkül szállt ki a a vízbe zuhant járműből.
