A tájékoztatás szerint az akciót „egy helyi ellenállási mozgalom” hajtotta végre „a megszállók főhadiszállásán”, és legalább három orosz tiszt esett áldozatul.
Irina Verescsuk ukrán miniszterelnök-helyettes az állami televízióban a nap folyamán arról beszélt, hogy Oroszország támadásai miatt 4,9 millióan voltak kénytelenek elmenekülni otthonaikból Ukrajna biztonságosabb térségeibe. Hozzátette, hogy a 2022 februárjában indult ukrajnai orosz háború óta 3,6 millió belső menekültet, azt megelőzően pedig, a 2014 óta – a Donyec-medencei harcok miatt – több mint egymilliót regisztráltak.
Beszélt arról is, hogy az utóbbi három és fél hónapban a belső menekültek száma alig észrevehetően növekedett, miközben néhányan visszatértek otthonukba, tekintettel arra, hogy az ország keleti és déli felében lévő frontvonalak alig mozdultak el.
Az ENSZ Emberi Jogi Főbiztosságának (UNHCR) legfrissebb közlése szerint mintegy 6,2 millió ukrán hagyta el az országot tartósan vagy ideiglenesen. Csak Európában 5,8 millió ukrajnai menekültet regisztráltak. A háború 2022-es kezdetét megelőzően nagyjából 41,4 millió lakosa volt Ukrajnának.

Ez valószínűleg a modern ukrán kézi páncéltörő fegyverek, aknák, a pilóta nélküli légi járműről ledobott lőszerek és a precíziós tüzérségi rendszerek relatív hatékonysága kombinációjának köszönhető – vonja le a következtetést a jelentés, amely szerint válaszul az orosz erők nagy valószínűséggel áttértek arra, hogy gyalogsági támadásokat hajtsanak végre ebben a szektorban. Az orosz erők mostani veszteségei a Donyeck megyei Bahmutnál már közelítenek ahhoz, amelyet a Wagner orosz zsoldoscsoport szenvedett el az ukrán csapatokkal vívott harcok csúcspontján – jelentette ki Szerhij Cserevatij ezredes, a keleti országrészben harcoló ukrán haderő szóvivője egy hétfői ukrán tévéműsorban.
„Az orosz veszteségek rendszeresek Bahmut környékén. Ezek a veszteségek már megközelítik azokat, amelyek a Wagner-csoporttal vívott harcok csúcsán voltak” – fogalmazott a szóvivő. Példaként hozta, hogy az elmúlt napban 81 orosz katona halt meg, 156-an pedig megsebesültek. Szavai szerint ugyanakkor az orosz erők erőteljesen vágnak vissza az ukrán támadásokra: 556 alkalommal nyitottak tüzet tüzérséggel, négy légitámadást hajtottak végre, és nyolc fegyveres szárazföldi összecsapás volt a térségben.
Az északkelet-ukrajnai Szumi megye kormányzói hivatala közben arról tájékoztatott, hogy hétfőn az orosz erők tüzet nyitottak a régióban lévő Bilopillja településre, aminek következtében két helyi lakos életét vesztette.
Az ukrán vezérkar esti helyzetjelentésében azt írta, hogy a nap folyamán öt térségben 29 összecsapás volt az ukrán hadsereg és az orosz csapatok között.
„Az ellenség a fő erőfeszítéseit a Harkiv megyei Kupjanszk, a donyecki régióban pedig Liman, Bahmut, Avgyijivka és Marjinka települések irányába összpontosítja, a súlyos csaták folytatódnak. A nap folyamán 29 katonai összecsapásra került sor” – fogalmazott a vezérkar. Kifejtette, hogy Kupjanszknál az ukrán katonák „állhatatosan tartják a vonalat”, Liman térségében pedig „az ellenség 24 órán keresztül sikertelen támadó műveleteket hajtott végre”. „Bahmut irányában a védők sikeresen visszaverték az ellenséges támadásokat Bohdanyivka és Veszele térségében. Marjinkánál és Krasznohorivka térségében a védelmi erők változatlanul visszatartják az orosz csapatok előrenyomulását” – írta a vezérkar. Hozzátette, hogy az ukrán erők továbbra is támadó hadműveleteket folytatnak a Zaporizzsja megyei Melitopol és Bergyanszk térségében.
Olekszandr Szirszkij, az ukrán szárazföldi erők parancsnoka közleményében megerősítette, hogy az orosz csapatok támadásba mentek át Kupjanszk térségében, és a helyzetet súlyosnak nevezte. Kifejtette: annak érdekében, hogy az ukrán csapatok támadó műveleteit megállítsák Bahmut térségében, az oroszok további erőket és eszközöket telepítettek Kupjanszk irányába, amelyek alapját légideszantcsapatok képezik.

A jelentés szerint a helyettes védelmi miniszter azt írta: „A múlt héten a védelmi erőinknek átlagosan 70 percenként sikerült megsemmisíteniük a kiemelt ellenséges célpontokat.” A közlése szerint 7 nap alatt az ukrán erők a következő célpontokat semmisítették meg: 94 csapatgyülekező hely; 22 légvédelmi rakétakomplexum; 19 lőszerraktár; 7 parancsnoki pont.
„Ez a fajta rutinmunka teremti meg a feltételeket az ellenség védelmének további áttöréséhez” – hangsúlyozta Hanna Maljar.
