A súlyos incidensről az AFP francia hírügynökségnek beszámoló tisztviselők szerint a lövöldözés közel egy órán át tartott az északnyugati Hajbár-Pahtunhva tartományban. A közlés szerint a határt is ellenőrző poszton állomásozókra legalább 20 fegyveres támadt rá.
A hatósági beszámolók szerint a fegyveres tálibok rendszeresen hajtanak végre támadásokat biztonsági erők ellen az Afganisztánnal szomszédos pakisztáni tartományban, és tevékenységük fokozódott azóta, hogy Kabulban ismét az iszlamisták kerültek hatalomra.

Pakisztánban az utóbbi napokban helyenként zavargássá fajuló tüntetések zajlottak az ország egyetemein egy diáklány megerőszakolásáról szóló hírek nyomán, Ravalpindiben csütörtökön 250 aktivistát állítottak elő rendzavarás címén – közölte a pakisztáni rendőrség az X-en.
A megmozdulásokat egy, a közösségi médiában megjelent hír váltotta ki, miszerint Lahor városának egyetemén egy biztonsági őr megerőszakolt egy diáklányt. Mariam Naváz, Pandzsáb tartomány miniszterelnöke a helyi Geonews hírtelevíziónak adott nyilatkozatában azonban álhírnek nevezte az információt.
Mohammad Afzal rendőrségi szóvivő szerint Ravalpindiben a hatóságok könnygázt is kénytelenek voltak bevetni a közlekedést akadályozó tüntetők ellen.
A rendőrségi fellépésben legalább 28-an megsérültek. A hatóságok szóvivője szerint a diákok felgyújtottak egy tantermet.
A szintén Pandzsáb tartománybeli Gudzsrat városában szerdán egy biztonsági őr vesztette életét a tüntetők és biztonsági erők összecsapásában. A rendőrség az ügyben elfogott egy gyanúsítottat.
Szintén a hatóságok kezére került egy férfi, akit álhírek terjesztésével és diákok erőszakra uszításával gyanúsítanak.
Pakisztánban nem ritkák a nőket érő szexuális bántalmazások, az áldozatok társadalmi megbélyegzéstől tartva gyakran nem is jelentik az eseteket.

Az elmúlt években a Beludzsisztáni Felszabadítási Hadsereg számos merényletet hajtott végre kínai állampolgárok és pakisztáni tisztviselők ellen Pakisztánban.
Két kínai állampolgár meghalt és legalább tíz ember megsérült a pakisztáni Karacsiban, a Dzsinnah nemzetközi repülőtér közelében történt robbanás következtében. A terroristák egy kínai mérnökökből álló konvojt vettek célba, akik egy energetikai projekten dolgoztak a dél-ázsiai országban.
Az akciót a Beludzsisztáni Felszabadítási Hadsereg (BLA) vállalta magára: a csoport szerint egy öngyilkos merénylő egy járművön elhelyezett bombát hozott működésbe. Az elmúlt években a BLA számos merényletet hajtott végre kínai állampolgárok és pakisztáni tisztviselők ellen.
Például 2022 áprilisban a csoport három kínai oktatót és egy pakisztáni sofőrt ölt meg egy öngyilkos merényletben a Karacsi Egyetem Konfuciusz Intézetének közelében, míg 2018 novemberében négy emberrel végeztek a karacsi kínai konzulátus elleni támadásban.
Idén márciusban egy pakisztáni haditengerészeti bázist vettek célba Gvádar közelében, majd augusztusban az elmúlt évek legnagyobb akcióját hajtották végre: a terroristák koordinált támadásaik során rendőrőrsöket, vasútvonalakat és országutakon közlekedő járműveket támadtak meg Beludzsisztánban, legalább 39 embert megölve.
A BBC emlékeztet: jelenleg több ezer kínai munkavállaló tartózkodik Pakisztánban, akik főleg az Új selyemút projektjeiben dolgoznak. Peking üzemelteti a stratégiai fontosságú Gvádar mélyvízi kikötőt Beludzsisztán déli részén, valamint egy arany- és rézbányát nyugaton.
Beludzsisztán Iránnal és Afganisztánnal is határos, méretét tekintve Pakisztán legnagyobb, de leggyérebben lakott tartománya, és továbbra is nagymértékben elmaradott, nagyfokú szegénység jellemzi. A régió függetlenségéért régóta folytatnak harcot a szeparatisták.

Tízezrek tüntettek vasárnap Marokkóban, Törökországban és Pakisztánban palesztinpárti megmozdulásokon a Hamász terrorszervezet Izrael déli térségei ellen tavaly október 7-én végrehajtott összehangolt támadásának első évfordulója előestéjén.
A marokkói fővárosban, Rabatban, a parlament épülete előtt összegyűlt több tízezres tömeg egyebek között a diplomáciai kapcsolatok megszakítását követelte Izraellel.
Egyes transzparenseken „Nem ismerjük el Izraelt” feliratok voltak olvashatók.

A CNN Türk helyi hírtelevízió szerint több mint hatvan török városban voltak hasonló megmozdulások, amelyeken a feltehetőleg izraeli támadásban megölt Iszmáil Haníje Hamász-vezető képmása, illetve a terrorszervezet zászlói is feltűntek.
A dél-pakisztáni Karacsiban a Dzsamaat-i-Iszlami mozgalom, az ország legnagyobb iszlamista pártja szervezett tömegtüntetést. Háfiz Naím ur-Rehman pártvezető szerint a megmozdulásuk célja „felébreszteni a világot” és „tudatni az Egyesült Államokkal, hogy terroristákat támogat”.
A nap folyamán Ausztráliában, valamint több európai fővárosban, így Londonban, Berlinben, Párizsban és Rómában is voltak palesztin, illetve Izrael párti tüntetések is.

Összecsaptak Pakisztánban a bebörtönzött volt miniszterelnök, Imran Hán hívei a rendőrökkel a főváros, Iszlámábád közelében, több mint nyolcvan rendőr megsebesült – közölte szombaton a pakisztáni belügyminiszter.
Hán hívei az ország északnyugati részében lévő – a volt miniszterelnök pártja, a Pakisztáni Mozgalom az Igazságosságért (PTI) által irányított – Haibár-Paktunkva tartományból indultak a fővárosba tüntetni Hán szabadon bocsátásáért és a jelenlegi kormánykoalíció ellen. A tartományi kormányfő vezette menet Mohszin Nakvi belügyminiszter közlése szerint rálőtt a rendőrökre, és könnygázt is használt a rendfenntartók ellen.
Nakvi elmondta, hogy pénteken törtek ki összecsapások a volt kormányfő hívei és a rendefenntartók között a főváros közvetlen közelében, és azóta már több mint nyolcvan rendőrt kellett különböző sebesülések miatt ellátni. A hatóságok lezárták Iszlámábádot, és leállították a mobiltelefon-szolgáltatásokat a gyülekezés megakadályozása érdekében.
A PTI bejelentette, hogy a hatóságok őrizetbe vették Haibár-Paktunkva tartomány önkormányzatának vezetőjét, Ali Amin Gandapurt, aki Hán egyik közeli munkatársa volt.
A fővárosban fokozott készültség van érvényben, mivel több magas szintű diplomáciai esemény várható ott a következő két hétben, október 15-16-án ott tartják a Sanghaji Együttműködési Szervezet (SCO) miniszteri szintű értekezletét is, amelyen mások mellett kínai, orosz és indiai küldöttségek vesznek részt. A kormány a hadsereget is bevetette, hogy erősítse a biztonságot Iszlámábádban.
A PTI azt állítja, hogy erőszakmentes tüntetést szeretnének tartani a fővárosban. A belügyminiszter viszont szombaton kijelentette, hogy a hatóságok értesülései szerint Hán hívei rendzavarásra készülnek az SCO-értekezlet alatt is.

Északnyugat-pakisztáni látogatáson lévő, külföldi diplomaták konvoja mellett robbant fel vasárnap egy útszélen kihelyezett pokolgép, a testőrséghez tartozó rendőrök egyike életét vesztette – közölte a helyi rendőrség szóvivője.
Zahidullah Hán tájékoztatása szerint a külföldi diplomaták delegációja a helyi kereskedelmi kamara meghívására érkezett a Szvat-völgybe. Hán közölte, hogy a pokolgép a biztonságiak járműve mellett lépett működésbe, megölve egy rendőrt és megsebesítve négy társát. A diplomatáknak nem esett bántódásuk, s visszafordultak Iszlámábád felé.
„A nagykövetek biztonságban voltak a támadás alatt, s biztonságos helyre vitték őket, mielőtt Iszlámábádba indultak volna tovább” – ismertette Mohammad Ali Gandapur rendőrfőnök-helyettes a Reuters hírügynökségnek nyilatkozva. A diplomaták nemzetiségét egyelőre nem tárták fel.
Egyelőre a térségben tevékenykedő szélsőséges szervezetek egyike sem jelentkezett a támadás elkövetőjeként. A pakisztáni terrorelhárító alakulatok nagy erőkkel vannak jelen a Szvat-völgyben, amely iszlamisták melegágyának számít a térségben. A szélsőségesek fokozták támadásaikat, miután 2022 végén felmondták a kormánnyal kötött tűzszünetet – írja az MTI.

Tájékoztatása szerint „a Pandzsábból érkező vagy oda tartó járműveket ellenőrizték, a Pandzsábból érkező személyeket azonosították, majd lelőtték.”
Tizenkilenc pandzsábi és három beludzsisztáni személyt öltek meg.
A támadás halálos áldozatainak számát egy másik kerületi tisztviselő, Hamed Zehri is megerősítette. „Úgy tűnik, hogy a Beludzsisztáni Felszabadítási Hadsereg harcosai állnak a támadás mögött” – tette hozzá a nyilatkozó.

A két különálló buszbaleset, amely Pakisztánban történt, legkevesebb 35 ember életét követelte és több tucatnyi sérültet eredményezett. A buszbalesetek sajnos gyakoriak az országban, főként az utak rossz állapota, a járművek karbantartásának hiánya és a sofőrök szabálytalan vezetése miatt. Az eset különösen tragikus, mivel néhány nappal korábban Iránban is súlyos buszbaleset történt, amelyben 28 pakisztáni zarándok vesztette életét. Az ilyen események rávilágítanak a közlekedésbiztonság javításának sürgető szükségességére a régióban.
Az első baleset akkor történt, amikor egy Irakból Iránon keresztül hazatérő síita muszlim zarándokokat szállító busz egy autópályáról szakadékba zuhant Pakisztán délnyugati részén.
Itt legalább 12 ember meghalt, 32 másik pedig megsérült.
A baleset a makráni autópályán történt. A sofőr elvesztette uralmát a busz felett, amikor annak fékjei meghibásodtak – mondta Qazi Sabir helyi rendőrfőnök.
Órákkal később szintén több tucat ember meghalt, amikor egy busz szakadékba zuhant Kahuta körzetében, a keleti Pandzsáb tartományban.
A kormánytisztviselők és a mentési koordinátorok eltérő számadatokról számoltak be: a belügyminisztérium szerint 29-en haltak meg, míg a mentésben résztvevő önkéntesek szerint 22-en – számolt be róla a Sky.

Pakisztán keleti részén, Pandzsáb tartományában fegyveresek tüzet nyitottak egy iskolabuszra, aminek következtében többen életüket vesztették.
A támadás egy attocki járásbeli faluban történt csütörtök reggel, miközben a gyerekek iskolába utaztak.
A támadás során öt gyerek megsebesült és kettő meghalt.
A Vangurad hírportál szerint az áldozatok és a sérült gyerekek 5 és 10 év közöttiek voltak. A rendőrség szerint a támadók a sofőrt vették célba, őt akarták megölni, de nem sikerült nekik, viszont a sofőr is súlyosan megsebesült.
A támadást egy családi viszály szíthatta, de a rendőrség a terrorizmust sem zárja ki. Pakisztánban gyakoriak a fegyveres támadások és a bandaháborúk – írja az Aljezeera.
2014-ben tálib fegyveresek csaknem 150 gyereket öltek meg egy katonai iskolában Pakisztán északnyugati részén.
Asif Ali Zardari pakisztáni elnök és Mohsin Naqvi belügyminiszter elítélte a támadást, és elrendelte, hogy a lehető legjobb orvosi ellátásban részesítsék a sebesülteket.

Pakisztán Pandzsáb tartományában gránátvetőkkel és kézifegyverekkel támadtak meg egy rendőrségi konvojt, ennek során több mint tíz rendőr meghalt, többen pedig megsebesültek.
Fegyveresek támadtak csütörtökön egy rendőrségi konvojra Pakisztán keleti részén, Pandzsáb tartományban. Megölték a rendvédelmi szervek legkevesebb tizenegy tagját, és sokakat megsebesítettek – közölte a helyi rendőrség.
A gránátvetőkkel és egyéb kézifegyverekkel elkövetett rajtaütés rahím jar hán körzetben történt, ahol a rendőrségi egység éppen egy kietlen térségben járőrözött tolvajok után kutatva.
Pakisztánban az utóbbi években megszaporodott ugyan a szélsőségesek által elkövetett merényletek száma, de így is kirívó, hogy ilyen nagyszámú áldozata legyen egy, a biztonsági szervek ellen elkövetett támadásnak. Mindemellett a pakisztáni biztonsági erők gyakran hajtanak végre műveleteket a keleti Pandzsáb és a déli Szind tartományok vidéki, illetve erdős régióiban a helyi banditák ellen.
Mohszin Nakvi belügyminiszter közleményében elítélte a támadást, és részvétét nyilvánította a halottak hozzátartozóinak.
