Hibát jelzett és automatikusan készenlétbe helyezte magát a belgiumi Tihange atomerőművének egyes reaktora a két gőzturbina egyikével kapcsolatos probléma miatt, a hiba forrását még nem sikerült azonosítani – tájékoztatott az erőművet üzemeltető, francia tulajdonú Engie áramszolgáltató vasárnap.
A La Libre Belgique című francia nyelvű belga napilap információi szerint a leállás egy biztonsági mechanizmus eredménye, amely akkor aktiválódik, ha az egyik gőzturbinával műszaki probléma vetődik fel.
Az Engie reményét fejezte ki, hogy az áramtermelés már kedden újraindulhat, az időpont azonban még változhat a technikai elemzések eredményétől függően – tették hozzá.
A belga gáz- és elektromos áramelosztó hálózatot üzemeltető Elia társaság kizárja, hogy a leállás az ellátás biztonságát veszélyeztetné. „Az ellátás biztonsága egyáltalán nem forog veszélyben. Jelenleg a termelési kapacitás különösen nagy, képes fedezni a keresletet. Rövid távon a helyzet nem jelenthet problémát” – fogalmazott közleményében a hálózatüzemeltető.
Korábbi határozatát megváltoztatva, amely szerint 2025-ig fokozatosan lekapcsolták volna az országban működő atomerőműveket, a belga kormány márciusban erőműveinek két atomreaktora, a Doel 4 és a Tihange 3 élettartamának tízéves meghosszabbításáról döntött. A 2003-ben hozott eredeti kormánydöntés értelmében 2025-ig bezárták volna az összes nukleáris reaktort az országban. A jogszabály szerint 40 évi használat után minden reaktort végleg le kell állítani, újakat pedig tilos építeni.
Belgium energiaellátásának 90 százaléka külföldről származik. Az ország korábban a felhasznált olaj 30 százalékát, az urán 25 százalékát és a földgáz legkevesebb 6 százalékát Oroszországból importálta.
A nukleáris energia Belgium energiaellátásnak mintegy 40 százalékát biztosítja. Az ország két atomerőművében hét reaktor működik. Az Engie áramszolgáltató az ország keleti felében, Tihange mellett, valamint Észak-Belgiumban, Doel közelében üzemeltet erőműveket. Korábbi tervek szerint a doeli 3-as blokkot 2022-ben, a tihange-i 2-es blokkot 2023-ban tervezték végleg leállítani, a többi reaktort pedig 2025-ben kapcsolták volna le.

A belgiumi Antwerpen kikötőjében lefoglalt kokain mennyisége túl nagy ahhoz, hogy egyszerre megsemmisítsék, tárolása azonban biztonsági aggályokat vet fel – közölte hétvégi számában a La Libre Belgique című francia nyelvű belga napilap.
A beszámolójában a napilap emlékeztetett: a vámhatóság 2021-ben csaknem 90 tonna kokaint foglalt le az antwerpeni kikötőben. A tavalyi rekord azonban minden valószínűség szerint idén is megdől, becslések szerint az idei kokainfogás a 100 tonnát is elérheti.
A tengeri szállítással érkezett, konténerekben felfedezett kokain rendkívüli mennyisége azonban komoly biztonsági problémát jelent a helyi hatóságoknak. Az engedélyezett szemétégetők ugyanis nem tudják azonnal feldolgozni az összes lefoglalt kábítószert, ezért azt megsemmisítése előtt raktárakban kell tárolni.
A napilap emlékeztetett, Franky De Keyser antwerpeni ügyész néhány hete felhívta Vincent Van Quickenborne belga igazságügyi miniszter figyelmét arra, hogy a legfoglalt kábítószerkészlet akkora, hogy a bűnbandák megpróbálhatják ellopni. Bart De Wever, Antwerpen polgármestere és a belga igazságügyi miniszter egyeztetésbe kezdett a megoldás megtalálására – közölte a belga hírportál.

A francia nyelvű La Libre Belgique belga napilap tájékoztatása szerint az üggyel összefüggésben három embert szombaton előállítottak Hollandiában, egy további gyanúsított szökésben van. A Hágában elfogott három, 20, 29 és 48 éves holland állampolgár kábítószerbirtoklás miatt ismert a rendőrség előtt. A belga hatóságok kiadatásukat kérték.
A hatóságok holland rendszámú autóra lettek figyelmesek a miniszer flandriai otthonának közelében. Az autósok és utasaik elmenekültek, miután észrevették, hogy a szomszédok figyelik őket. Másnap a miniszter egy szomszédja egy, a közlekedést akadályozó, magára hagyott holland rendszámú autót szúrt ki, amiben a kiérkező rendőrök egy Kalasnyikov típusú gépfegyvert találtak.
A Le Soir című belga napilap azt közölte, kábítószerellenes intézkedések indokolhatják az igazságügyi miniszter elleni fenyegetéseket. Van Quickenborne a napilapnak nyilatkozva azt mondta, az érintettek a várttal ellentétes hatást fognak elérni. A bűnözők sarokba szorítva érzik magukat. A helyzet „megerősíti azt a meggyőződésemet, hogy folytatnunk kell a harcot,” a szervezett bűnözés elleni küzdelmet, a korábbinál több személyzettel és több erőforrással – fogalmazott.
Alexander De Croo belga miniszterelnök szombaton közzétett Twitter-üzenetében teljességgel elfogadhatatlannak nevezte az igazságügyi miniszterrel szembeni fenyegetést, és közölte: „legyen világos: nem fogunk megijedni senkitől. A munka folytatódik.”
Vincent Van Quickenborne a közösségi oldalon azt írta: egy „demokráciában, egy jogállamban soha nem hajolunk meg az erőszakkal szemben. Soha.” Az igazságügyi miniszter elítélte a fenyegetést, és kérte, tartsák tiszteletben családját és magánéletüket.

Az ír fapados légitársaság nem hajlandó megfizetni a pilótákat annak ellenére, hogy nyereséges, ezért a hétvégén Belgiumban újra nagyszabású sztrájkot hirdettek a dolgozók. Szinte az összes járatot törölték. A Ryanair a kritikák szerint az utasokat is semmibe veszi, akiknek a napokban elegük lett a légitársaság nemtörődömségéből – írta a V4NA nemzetközi hírügynökség.
Nagyszabású, egész hétvégés munkabeszüntetést tartanak a Ryanair belga dolgozói, francia lapértesülések szerint szinte az összes, Belgiumból induló járatot törölték július 23-án és 24-én, mivel még mindig nem született megállapodás a pilóták béremeléséről. A cég a koronavírus-járvány idején húsz százalékkal csökkentette a pilóták fizetését, amelynek a kompenzálását júniusra ígérték, ám még mindig nem történt meg. Az egyik szakszervezet vezetője, Didier Lebbe elmondása alapján a követeléseik ezúttal is ugyanazok, mint a júniusi sztrájk idején: jobb munkakörülményeket és fizetésemelést szeretnének elérni a dolgozók.
Lebbe hozzátette, hogy miután a Ryanair bejelentette, hogy a légitársaság aktivitása elérte a 2019-es adatok 115 százalékát, nem lehet akadálya a dolgozók által kért fizetésemelésnek. Belgiumban azonban a Ryanair vezetése még a mai napig sem ült tárgyalóasztalhoz a pilóták szakszervezeteivel.
A légitársaság ehelyett inkább fenyegetőzik. A cég a napokban bejelentette, hogy kivonul Belgiumból és más országba teszi át a telephelyét, ha nem vetnek véget a munkabeszüntetésnek. Didier Lebbe elmondása alapján már évek óta ezzel zsarolja őket az ír cég, de a szakszervezeti vezető szerint ez biztosan nem történik meg, mert a Ryanair hatalmas piacot épített ki Belgiumban, a terület pedig a versenytársak kezére kerülne, ha kivonulna a cég.
A Ryanair vezetése azt is fontolóra vette, hogy független pilótákkal helyettesíti a sztrájkoló belga dolgozókat, ám Didier Lebbe leszögezte, hogy ez az eljárás sérti a belga törvényeket.
A szakszervezeti vezető hozzátette, hogy abban az esetben, ha a Ryanair mégis más pilótákat alkalmazna a sztrájkoló személyzet helyettesítésére, akkor a szakszervezet a légiutas-kísérő személyzetet kéri meg a munkabeszüntetésre.
Az ír fapados légitársaság egyébként nem csak a dolgozóit veszi semmibe, az utasokkal is megvető módon bánik. A Le Parisien nevű francia lap számolt be róla, hogy az utasokat órákon keresztül várakoztatták a repülőtéren egy légkondicionálás nélküli helyiségben, a legnagyobb kánikulában. A Toulouse-ból Marokkóba tartó gép indulására órákat vártak a rekkenő hőségben, végül törölték a járatot. A hír hallatán néhányan annyira feldühödtek, hogy összefogtak és erőszakkal elfoglalták a repülőgépet. A repülőt azonnal körbevették a rendőrök, miután pár utas nem volt hajlandó kiszállni a gépből, ám a pilótafülkébe senki nem jutott be.

Egy újabb belga csokoládégyár üzemében azonosították azt a bélfertőzést okozó baktériumot, amely néhány hónappal korábban az olasz Ferrero csokoládégyár belgiumi telephelyén okozott szalmonellafertőzést, és ezzel több mint 300 megbetegedést Európa szerte – írta a The BrusselsTimes hírportál csütörtökön.
A belga-svájci tulajdonú Barry Callebaut cég csütörtökön közölte, hogy Wieze-i üzemében – amely saját állítása szerint a világ legnagyobb csokoládégyára – elővigyázatosságból leállították az összes gyártósorukat, amíg a fertőzést kivizsgálják – írja az apnews.com.
Az összes, június 25-e után gyártott csokoládékészítményt kivonták a forgalomból az illetékes hatóságok.
A Barry Callebaut több, világszerte értékesített márka számára gyárt csokoládét.
A vállalat június 27-én fedezte fel a szalmonella baktériumot a gyárban előállított termékekben. „A szigorú élelmiszerbiztonsági eljárások gyorsan azonosították a lecitint, mint a szennyeződés forrását” – írta a cég sajtóközleményében.
A vállalat közölte, hogy tájékoztatta a belga élelmiszer-biztonsági hatóságokat, és felveszi a kapcsolatot azokkal a vásárlókkal, akiknek a birtokában fertőzött termékek lehetnek.
Amennyiben a cég termékei tömeges fertőzést okoznak, a vállalattól megvonhatják a gyártási engedélyt.
Az év elején legalább 200 szalmonellás esetet jelentettek, amelyek feltehetően az olasz Ferrero cég által üzemeltetett másik belga üzemben készült húsvéti csokoládétojásokhoz kapcsolódtak, melyről mi is beszámoltunk.

A halálos áldozatok mellett öten súlyosan megsérültek vasárnap egy észak-belgiumi autópályán történt buszbalesetben, a sofőr kábítószertesztje pozitív lett – közölte a La Libre Belgique című, francia nyelvű belga napilap vasárnap az MTI információi szerint.
Sandra Eyschen, a belga szövetségi rendőrség szóvivője arról tájékoztatott, hogy a francia BlaBlaCar nevű fuvarmegosztó szolgáltatás távolsági autóbusza az észak-belgiumi Antwerpent a hollandiai Bredával összekötő E19-es autópályán kora délután szenvedett balesetet.
Az Amszterdamból Párizsba közlekedő, francia rendszámú jármű egyelőre tisztázatlan okból tért le az autópályájáról, majd az oldalára fordult, ablakai betörtek. A pályaszakaszt teljesen lezárták, hosszú autósorok alakultak ki.
Az Antwerpen közelében felborult busz 30, főként francia és spanyol állampolgárságú utast szállított. Az antwerpeni ügyészség tájékoztatása szerint a sofőr kábítószertesztje pozitív lett. A 35 éves, francia állampolgárságú buszvezetőt előállították.

Az adatvédelmi szabályok megsértése miatt a belga illetékes hatóság bírságot szabott ki a brüsszeli Zaventem és a charleroi-i repülőtérre, amiért a koronavírus-járvány elleni küzdelem részeként hőmérsékletellenőrzést végeztek a váróhelyiségbe érkező utasokon – idézi az Airportal a La Libre Belgique cikkét.
A belga repülőterek 2020-ban kezdték meg az utasok hőmérsékletének mérését, hogy így próbálják kiszűrni a koronavírussal fertőzötteket. A 38 fok feletti testhőmérsékletű utasoktól megtagadhatták a beszállást.
A belga adatvédelmi hatóság szerint a két repülőtér megsértette az adatvédelmi szabályokat, ezért a brüsszeli Zaventem nemzetközi repülőtérre 200 ezer euró (mintegy 74 millió forint), a főként fapados járatokat fogadó charleroi-i repülőtérre 100 ezer euró (mintegy 37 millió forint) büntetést szabott ki.
A hatóság szerint a testhőmérséklet-adatok az egészséggel kapcsolatos személyes adatnak számítanak. A közegészségügyi vészhelyzet ellenére a repülőtereknek nem volt jogalapja az épületbe lépő utasok, illetve kísérőik testhőmérséklet-adatainak feldolgozására – olvasható a portálon.
A Politiconak a Zaventem repülőtér egyik illetékese azt mondta, nagyon csalódottak a hatóság döntése miatt, és vitatják, hogy a légikikötőnek ne lett volna jogalapja hőkamera használatára.

Alexander De Croo közölte: a belga szövetségi kormány által előző napon elfogadott, katonai felszereléseket tartalmazó szállítmányokon kívül országa további háromezer automata gépfegyvert és 200 további páncéltörő rakétát biztosít Ukrajna számára.
„Ukrajnának joga van megvédenie magát az orosz invázió ellen” – fogalmazott.
A miniszterelnök jelezte, hogy „az orosz invázió szorításában szenvedő” ország számára a kormány szombaton már döntött egy kétezer géppuskát tartalmazó szállítmányról. Belgium emellett 3800 tonna üzemanyagot is szállít Ukrajnának – tette hozzá a belga miniszterelnök.
A La Libre Belgique című, francia nyelvű belga napilap vasárnap közölte: Ludivine Dedonder belga védelmi miniszter bejelentette, hogy Belgium teljesítette a katonai védőfelszerelések küldésére vonatkozó ukrán kérést, és a védelmet szolgáló katonai felszerelések konvoja elindult Ukrajnába. A szállítmány főként sisakokból és más típusú védőfelszerelésekből áll – tette hozzá.

Belgium tizenhárom terroristát fosztott meg állampolgárságuktól, amiért korábban dzsihadista csoportokhoz csatlakoztak Szíriában és Afganisztánban – jelentette a La Libre Belgique című francia nyelvű napilap hétfőn.
A brüsszeli fellebbviteli bíróság két éven belül ötödik alkalommal döntött terrorista csoportokhoz csatlakozott fiatalok belga állampolgárságának megvonásáról. Ilyen bírósági döntés ez idáig 52 embert érint.
A többségében belga-marokkói kettős állampolgársággal rendelkező férfiakat korábban jogerősen tizenöt, tíz, illetve hét év börtönbüntetésre ítélték Belgiumban. Az állampolgárság elvesztése olyan esetben lehetséges, ha az érintett kettős állampolgársággal rendelkezik – írták.
Az elítéltek távollétében hozott döntését a bíróság azzal indokolta, hogy az érintettek „nem teljesítették állampolgári kötelességeiket”. A tizenhárom férfi közül tizenketten 2012 decembere és 2014 decembere között csatlakoztak dzsihadista csoportokhoz Szíriában. A tizenharmadik egy Afganisztánban tevékenykedő terrorista sejt tagjává vált 2007-ben. A bíróság azt feltételezi, hogy a terroristák ellen vívott harcok során majdnem mindannyian meghalhattak, noha – mint írták – erre nincs hivatalos bizonyíték. Feltételezik, hogy egyiküket a kurd erők tarthatják fogva Észak-Szíriában – közölte a napilap.
Az állampolgári nyilvántartásból törölt tizenhárom embernek nyolc nap áll rendelkezésére, hogy fellebbezést nyújtson be az intézkedés ellen – tették hozzá.
