A rendőrség közölte, hogy vizsgálják a tűz okát, de úgy vélik, hogy gyújtogatás lehetett.
A feltételezett elkövető, egy 50 év körüli férfi a helyszínen meghalt – közölték a hatóságok.
Több mint 150 tűzoltót vezényeltek a központi helyre nem sokkal a tűz kitörése után, helyi idő szerint 10:55 körül.
A tűzoltók 20 percen belül eloltották a tüzet – írja a BBC.
A legtöbb sérültet füstmérgezéssel szállították kórházba.
A rendőrség nyomozást indított. Az irodáról készült kamerafelvételek azt mutatták, hogy a feltételezett elkövető nem üres kézzel érkezett a második emeleti irodába, különböző anyagok voltak nála – jelentette a dél-koreai BBC.
A helyi média arról számolt be, hogy a férfi a támadás előtt feljelentést tett az ügyvédi irodában.

A bemutatóra, amelyen 20 repülőgép, köztük F-35A lopakodó vadászgépek vettek részt, egy nappal azután került sor, hogy a szövetségesek nyolc föld-felszíni rakétát lőttek ki Dél-Korea keleti partjainál, válaszul az Észak-Korea által vasárnap indított rövid hatótávolságú ballisztikus rakétákra.
Dél-Korea és az Egyesült Államok bebizonyították erős képességüket és eltökéltségüket, hogy gyorsan és pontosan csapást mérjenek bármilyen észak-koreai provokációra – áll a dél-koreai hadsereg közleményében, hozzátéve, hogy a szövetségesek szorosan figyelemmel kísérik és felkészülnek Észak további provokációira.
A nyilatkozatot néhány órával azután tették közzé, hogy Sherman Szöulban találkozott dél-koreai kollégájával, Cso Hjun-donggal, hogy Észak-Koreáról tárgyaljanak. A magányos állam a közelmúltban rakétakísérletek sorozatát hajtotta végre, és egyes elemzők szerint öt év szünet után újra atomfegyverek tesztelésére készül.
Bármilyen nukleáris teszt az ENSZ Biztonsági Tanácsának határozatainak teljes megsértése lenne (és) egy ilyen tesztre gyors és erőteljes válaszlépések lennének. Úgy vélem, hogy nemcsak a Koreai Köztársaság, az Egyesült Államok és Japán, hanem az egész világ határozott és egyértelmű választ fog adni – mondta Sherman a találkozót követő sajtótájékoztatón.
Felkészültünk, és holnap folytatjuk háromoldalú megbeszélésünket Dél-Koreával és Japánnal – tette hozzá Sherman.
A hatóságok és észak-koreai szakértők már hetek óta azt állítják, hogy új építkezések jelei mutatkoznak Punggye-ri-ben, Észak-Korea egyetlen ismert nukleáris kísérleti telephelyén.

Több mint 4 év után tartott ismét közös hadgyakorlatot Dél-Korea és az Egyesült Államok. A gyakorlatban amerikai repülőgép-hordozók is részt vettek. A szöuli hadsereg emellett közölte, hogy információik szerint Észak-Korea atomkísérletre készül.
A dél-koreai vezérkar vezetője közölte, hogy a három napos hadgyakorlatra a japán Okinawa sziget melletti nemzetközi vizeken került sor. Tesztelték a légvédelmet, a hajó- és tengeralattjáró elleni küzdelmet, illetve más tengeri műveleteket – írta meg a Reuters.
A közös gyakorlatra azért került sor, mivel nő a feszültség Észak-Koreával, ahol a hírszerzés szerint atomkísérletek végrehajtására készülnek.
Ilyen tesztet 2017 óta nem hajtottak végre az országban, de az utóbbi időben többször is teszteltek hagy hatótávolságú rakétát az északiak.
A gyakorlatban részt vett többek között a USS Ronald Reagen, 100 ezer tonnás nukleáris meghajtású repülőgép-hordozó, a USS Antietam irányított rakétás cirkáló, illetve az Aegis-szel felszerelt USS Benfold romboló is. Dél-Korea a több mint 14 ezer tonnás Marado kétéltű leszállóhajóval, a 7600 tonnás Sejong the Great rombolóval és a 4400 tonnás Munmu The Great rombolóval képviseltette magát.
A közelmúltban Joon Suk-yeol dél-koreai elnök és Joe Biden amerikai elnök találkozóján a felek megállapodtak abban, hogy az USA Dél-Korea segítségére siet, ha Észak-Korea miatt erre szükség lenne.
Biden stratégiai eszközöket is ígért kollégájának, hogy elrettenthessék Észak-Koreát egy esetleges agresszív megnyilvánulástól. Pénteken az USA Dél-Korea és Japán nukleáris illetékesei Szöulban találkoztak, hogy felkészülhessenek minden eshetőségre. Ez alatt értelemszerűen az észak-koreai kísérleteket érthették.

Egy észak-koreai ügynöknek juttathattak katonai információkat.

„Ez az első olyan eset, amikor egy aktív szolgálatot teljesítő tiszt és egy észak-koreai ügynök parancsára dolgozó civil összejátszott és katonai titkokat szivárogtattak ki” – közölte a rendőrség a BBC cikke szerint
Összedolgoztak a gyanúsítottak
A két Korea közti viszony azóta feszült, hogy 1950-53 között háború zajlott köztük. Állítólag
egy kamerás órát és egy USB-eszközt használtak arra, hogy január és március között adatokat adjanak át.
A két érintettet a hónap elején tartóztatták, az észak-koreai ügynök kiléte és jelenlegi tartózkodási helye ismeretlen.
A dél-koreai ügyészek és a rendőrség csütörtökön jelentették be a virtuális valutával foglalkozó cég csak Li néven megnevezett vezetőjének és a hadsereg tisztjének, B századosnak a letartóztatását. Mindkettőjüket az ország nemzetbiztonsági törvényének megsértésével vádolják.
Bázisra csempészték be a meghekkelt órát
A hatóságok szerint a Linek nevezett az üzletembert 2021 júliusában keresték meg azzal, hogy próbáljon meg beszervezni egy aktív szolgálatot teljesítő tisztet katonai titkok megszerzése érdekében. Ő a következő hónapban kapcsolatba került B századossal, akinek bitcoint ígért a titkokért cserébe.
A tiszt elfogadta az ajánlatot. Li idén januárban egy órába épített kamerát vett, elküldte azt B-nek, aki bevitte az eszközt bázisára.
Li egy USB-hackereszközre is szert tett, mellyel hozzáférést nyújtott az észak-koreai ügynöknek a laptopján tárolt adatokhoz: itt tárolta többek közt a dél-koreai hadsereg közös parancsnoki és irányítási rendszerének megszerzett belépési adatait is. Az nem ismert, milyen egyéb információkat szerezhetett még meg.
Jól megfizették a kémkedést
A tiszt 48 millió koreai von, azaz nagyjából 17 milliárd forint értékű Bitcoint kapott az akcióban játszott szerepéért, míg Li 700 millió von, azaz 251 milliárd forint értékű virtuális valutát kapott az ügyészek szerint. A hatóságok februárban kaptak fülest az akcióról, április másodikán pedig letartóztatták Lit, majd 15-én B-t is.
Információik szerint észak-koreai ötletből indult az akció, de azt állítják, sikerült megakadályozniuk a kiszivárogtatást.
A rendőrség azt is elmondta, hogy a kriptovaluta-kereskedő megpróbált egy másik katonatisztet is beszervezni, aki ellenállt. A nyomozás még folyamatban van egy másik gyanúsítottal kapcsolatban, aki állítólag közvetítőként működött Lee és a katona között.

„Ez nem puszta fenyegetés” – jelentette ki az Észak-Koreát irányító kommunista Koreai Munkapártban magas tisztséget betöltő Kim Jo Dzsong, Kim Dzsong Un észak-koreai vezető húga kedden.
Kim Jo Dzsong, akit a KCNA állami hírügynökség idézett, hangsúlyozta, hogy ez lenne Phenjan válasza Dél-Korea esetleges katonai akciójára. Mint mondta, Szöul elkerülheti ezt a sorsot, ha feladja egy atomfegyverekkel rendelkező állam elleni megelőző csapással kapcsolatos „ábrándozásait”.
Szo Vuk dél-koreai védelmi miniszter pénteken arról beszélt, hogy országa különböző, jelentősen megnövelt hatótávolságú és erejű rakétatípusokkal rendelkezik, amelyek „képesek nagy pontossággal, gyorsan eltalálni bármely célpontot Észak-Koreában”. A tárcavezető hozzátette: a minisztérium minden segítséget megad a hadseregnek, hogy elsöprő választ tudjon adni Phenjan rakétafenyegetésére. A miniszter beszédében ellenségnek nevezte Észak-Koreát.
Kim Jo Dzsong nagyon nagy hibának nevezte a dél-koreai miniszter nyilatkozatát. Mindemellett hangsúlyozta, hogy Phenjan elutasítja a háborút, amely romokká változtatná a Koreai-félszigetet és nem tartja fő ellenségének Dél-Koreát. Amennyiben Dél-Korea valamely okból mégis a Szo Vuk által „hirdetett katonai megelőző csapás” útját választaná, mindez megváltozhat és Dél-Korea válhat célponttá – tette hozzá.
Észak-Korea az idén már több alkalommal tesztelt nagy hatótávolságú ballisztikus rakétákat. Washington és Szöul is attól tart, hogy a megrekedt nukleáris leszerelési tárgyalások közepette a kommunista állam ismét elkezdheti atomfegyverek tesztelését, amivel 2017-ben felhagyott.

Négy aktivista ellen emeltek vádat Észak-Korea javára végzett kémkedés miatt Dél-Koreában, akik állítólag egy helyi hírportált használtak a kommunista állam propagandájának terjesztésére – értesült a Yonhap dél-koreai hírügynökség hétfőn.
A hírportál 47 éves tulajdonosa, akit mindössze vezetéknevén, Szonként azonosítottak, szintén a vádlottak padján ül. A négy aktivista állítólag a phenjani rezsim megrendelésére egy sor tiltakozó akciót hajtott végre a szöuli vezetés azon terve ellen, hogy F-35A típusú korszerű amerikai harci repülőgépeket szerezzen be. Mindemellett utasítást kaptak Kim Dzsongun észak-koreai vezető „nagyságának” dicsőítésére a különböző dél-koreai társadalmi csoportok, de különösen az ifjúság körében a hírportálon keresztül.
A dél-koreai hírszerzés (NIS) és a rendőrség is megerősítette, hogy a gyanúsítottak lakásainak májusi átkutatásakor olyan adathordozókat foglaltak le, amelyeken megtalálták a vonatkozó utasításokat.
A NIS szerint a hírportálon egészen júniusig bezárólag 45 olyan cikket lehetett olvasni, amelyben Észak-Koreát, illetve Kim Dzsongunt bálványozták. A hírszerzés szerint olyan bizonyítékok is előkerültek, miszerint a négyes 2018-ban hűséget fogadott Kimnek, hogy „hithű harcostársai” lesznek a Koreai-félsziget újraegyesítésében és a „szocializmus totális győzelmében”.
A dél-koreai vádhatóság szerint a gyanúsítottak a májusi házkutatásokat követően már nem tudtak titkosított kommunikációs csatornán érintkezni Észak-Koreával, így a hírportálon keresztül értesítették a phenjani vezetést az ellenük folyó vizsgálat fejleményeiről. A nyomozást végző szervek szerint az aktivisták gyakran utaztak Kínába, hogy észak-koreai kapcsolattartóikkal találkozhassanak. Szon sajtóértesülések szerint azt állította, hogy koholt vádakról van szó, nincs semmiféle illegális szervezet. Hozzátette, hogy a NIS, illetve a rendőrség manipulálta az ügyet egy kommunistaellenes kampány megindítása érdekében.

Több döntést nem tudtak meghozni Li Dzse Jong nélkül, aki eddig másfél évet ült börtönben.
Kegyelmet kapott Li Dzse Jong, a Samsung vállalatcsoport sikkasztás és vesztegetés miatt bebörtönzött alelnöke és örököse hétfőn Dél-Koreában, így néhány napon belül szabadon is bocsátják.
A szöuli igazságügyi minisztérium arról számolt be, hogy a döntés „a különböző tényezők, például a közhangulat és a fogva tartás alatti jó magaviselet átfogó vizsgálatának eredménye”. Az 53 éves Lit két és fél év börtönbüntetésre ítélték, amiért megvesztegette Pak Gun Hje volt államfő bizalmasát és tanácsadóját, hogy zökkenőmentesen megszerezhesse az ellenőrzést a Samsung csoport felett. A büntetésből összesen másfél évet töltött le, 2017 augusztusától egy évet, ezt akkor felfüggesztették, majd idén januártól újabb hat hónapot töltött börtönben.
Az utóbbi időben felerősödtek a kegyelmet követelő hangok a társadalomban, valamint a politikusok és az üzletemberek körében, mondván, a vállalatóriás nélküle nem tud meghozni bizonyos kulcsfontosságú döntéseket.
Bár a világ egyik legnagyobb technológiai vállalatának számító Samsung mindennapi működését nem érintette a férfi távolléte, a belsős források szerint régóta csúsznak egyes beruházási, illetve egyesítési és felvásárlási ügyek, amelyekről kizárólag Linek lenne joga dönteni. Ki kell jelölni például, hogy hol építsék meg a 17 milliárd dolláros beruházással tervezett új üzemet az Egyesült Államokban. A Koreai Iparszövetség közleményben üdvözölte a hétfőn bejelentett ítéletet.
„Ha nem pörög fel gyorsan a beruházási mutató, akkor lemaradhatunk a versenyben az olyan globális vállalatok mögött, mint az Intel vagy a TSMC, és így a koreai gazdaság egyetlen pillanat alatt elveszítheti az előnyét” – írták.
Az igazságügyi miniszternek azt még külön jóvá kell hagynia, hogy Li Dzse Jong visszatérhessen a munkába, minthogy a jogszabályok értelmében a hasonló bűncselekmények elkövetőit öt évre eltiltják egyes munkaköröktől. Szakértők szerint erre ugyan nagy az esély, de enyhítő körülménynek számít például, hogy mára visszafizették az elsikkasztott összeget.
Folyamatban van az üzletember ellen egyébként egy másik eljárás is, amelyben azzal vádolják, hogy befolyásolta a részvényárakat, megsértette az értékpapírpiacot szabályozó törvényeket és a könyvviteli szabályokat.

Mint mondta, a munkások a nyomozóknak arról számoltak be, hogy a szerencsétlenség előtt még le tudtak zárni egy közeli utcát. Hozzátette: átkutatják a romokat, hogy nem rekedt-e senki a törmelék alatt.
A helyi sajtóban megjelent felvételeken látni lehetett, ahogy a törmelék rázuhan a buszra és hatalmas porfelhő lepi el az utcát. A házomlást követően a mentőalakulatok hordágyakkal és feszítővasakkal felszerelkezett több tucat tagját lehetett látni, ahogy túlélők után kutatnak miközben a hattérben markológéppekkel próbálják elemelni az útból az utcára zuhant betontömböket és elferdült acélgerendákat.
Egyelőre még nem világos, hogy mi okozhatta a szerencsétlenséget a dél-koreai fővárostól, Szöultól 270 kilométerre délnyugatra található városban.

FORRÁS: MTI/EPA/YNA/YONHAP A PM10 értéke – a 10 mikrométer átmérőjűnél kisebb porszemcsék köbméterenkénti koncentrációja a levegőben – hétfő reggel meghaladta az 1174 mikrogrammot a délkeleti Tegu városában. Ez a legmagasabb szint azóta, hogy a városban 2010 novemberében a PM10 mértéke elérte az 1047 mikrogrammot.
A PM10 mértéke sokszorosan meghaladta a kormány által nagyon rossz minőségűnek minősített szintet Szöul régiójában és más térségekben a nap folyamán. A fővárosban a PM10 óránkénti mértéke 302 mikrogramm körül állt helyi idő szerint délután 6-kor, a napi csúcs 545 mikrogramm volt. Teguban a vonatkozó érték 372 mikrogrammra csökkent, a napi csúcs 1348 mikrogramm volt. Dél-Koreában a 151 mikrogramm, vagy annál nagyobb érték már nagyon rossznak számít.
A dél-koreai meteorológiai szolgálat figyelmeztetést adott ki a fővárosra, arra kérve a légzési, szív- és érrendszeri betegségekkel küzdő állampolgárokat, a gyerekeket és egyéb veszélyeztetett személyeket: tartózkodjanak a szabadtéri tevékenységektől.
A sárgapor-vészjelzést csaknem az egész országra kiadták, leszámítva az északi Kangvon tartományt és néhány déli régiót.A figyelmeztetést akkor adják ki, amikor a PM10 értéke előreláthatólag köbméterenként 800 mikrogramm fölött marad több mint két órán keresztül. Az állami környezetkutató intézet levegőminőségi előrejelző központja szerint
a helyzet várhatóan csak csütörtöktől javul majd.
