A hatóságok elmondása szerint a leveket Madridba, Barcelonába és Málagába címezték. Eddig összesen 21 fenyegetést vettek nyilvántartásba 12 országban. „Amint azt Dmitro Kuleba már megjegyezte, az ukrán diplomatákat nem lehet megfélemlíteni vagy megtörni. „Talán így próbálnak visszavágni, egymás után elveszítve a diplomáciai csatákat” – mondta.

Augusztus 10-én délután bejelentés érkezett a rendőrséghez, miszerint a városban az egyik üzlet közelében agresszívan viselkedik egy férfi és törött üvegekkel fenyegeti a járókelőket.
A helyszínre kiérkező rendőröket arról értesítették, hogy a férfi felment a lakásába. A hatóságok azonnal felkeresték, a férfi a velük való beszélgetés során is erőszakosan, zavartan viselkedett, többször is megfenyegette a rendőrségi munkatársakat.
A helyszínre kiérkezett az operatív csoport, az ügyben eljárást indítottak.

Holtan találtak rendelőjében pénteken egy osztrák orvost, aki halálos fenyegetéseket kapott oltásellenesektől és összeesküvés-elméletek terjesztőitől, miután sokat szerepelt a médiában a koronavírus-járvánnyal kapcsolatban és az interjúkban a védőoltás mellett érvelt.
A hatóságok közlése szerint a felső-ausztriai Lisa-Maria Kellermayr öngyilkosságot követett el vöcklaburgi rendelőjében, búcsúleveleket is hagyott maga után.
Az orvosnő korábban arról számolt be a honlapján, hogy hónapok óta megtorlással fenyegetik megnyilatkozásai miatt olyanok, akik ellenzik a járványügyi korlátozásokat és elutasítják a védőoltást. Halálos fenyegetéseket is kapott.
A fenyegetések miatt Kellermayr hosszabb időre rendőrségi védelmet kapott, de saját maga is 100 ezer eurót költött a biztonságára. Júniusban rendelője ideiglenes, majd július közepén végleges bezárását jelentette be, mondván, hogy senkinek sem kívánja azokat a munkakörülményeket, amelyek között az utóbbi hónapokban dolgoznia kellett.
Az osztrák közvéleményt sokkoló halálhírre reagálva vezető politikusok nemzeti egységre szólítottak fel. „Vessünk véget a megfélemlítésnek és a félelemkeltésnek! A gyűlöletnek és az intoleranciának nincs helye Ausztriában” – hangoztatta Alexander Van der Bellen köztársasági elnök. Az államfő felidézte, hogy az emberek fertőzéstől való védelmén, gyógyításán dolgozó orvost előbb az interneten, majd személyesen, a rendelőjében is megfenyegették.
A fenyegetések miatt indult eljárásban az osztrák ügyészség júniusban lezárta a vizsgálatot egy német állampolgárságú gyanúsított ügyében arra hivatkozva, hogy a német hatóságok az illetékesek. Az osztrák rendőrség ismeretlen személyek ellen vitte tovább a nyomozást.

Április 24-én a 102-es hívószámra bejelentés érkezett a Beregszászi kistérség egyik falujából. A férfi elmondta, hogy egy ismerőse fegyverrel jelent meg nála és megfenyegette.
A helyszínre azonnal kiérkeztek a hatóságok, akik megállapították, hogy egy 47 éves helyi lakos 13 óra körül érkezett az áldozathoz, és követelte a tartozás azonnali visszafizetését. Ezután elővett egy puskát, és egyszer a levegőbe, egyszer pedig a 34 éves áldozat irányába lőtt. A szomszédok segítettek feltartóztatni a támadót a rendőrség kiérkezése előtt. Szerencsére senkinek sem esett baja.
A Beregszászi Járási Rendőrség munkatársai a támadót őrizetbe vették és ideiglenes letartóztatásba helyezték. Lefoglalták a fegyvert, valamint a járművet is, amin az elkövető érkezett, az ügyben büntetőeljárást indítottak. A tettesre négytől nyolc évig terjedő szabadságvesztés várhat.

„Ez nem puszta fenyegetés” – jelentette ki az Észak-Koreát irányító kommunista Koreai Munkapártban magas tisztséget betöltő Kim Jo Dzsong, Kim Dzsong Un észak-koreai vezető húga kedden.
Kim Jo Dzsong, akit a KCNA állami hírügynökség idézett, hangsúlyozta, hogy ez lenne Phenjan válasza Dél-Korea esetleges katonai akciójára. Mint mondta, Szöul elkerülheti ezt a sorsot, ha feladja egy atomfegyverekkel rendelkező állam elleni megelőző csapással kapcsolatos „ábrándozásait”.
Szo Vuk dél-koreai védelmi miniszter pénteken arról beszélt, hogy országa különböző, jelentősen megnövelt hatótávolságú és erejű rakétatípusokkal rendelkezik, amelyek „képesek nagy pontossággal, gyorsan eltalálni bármely célpontot Észak-Koreában”. A tárcavezető hozzátette: a minisztérium minden segítséget megad a hadseregnek, hogy elsöprő választ tudjon adni Phenjan rakétafenyegetésére. A miniszter beszédében ellenségnek nevezte Észak-Koreát.
Kim Jo Dzsong nagyon nagy hibának nevezte a dél-koreai miniszter nyilatkozatát. Mindemellett hangsúlyozta, hogy Phenjan elutasítja a háborút, amely romokká változtatná a Koreai-félszigetet és nem tartja fő ellenségének Dél-Koreát. Amennyiben Dél-Korea valamely okból mégis a Szo Vuk által „hirdetett katonai megelőző csapás” útját választaná, mindez megváltozhat és Dél-Korea válhat célponttá – tette hozzá.
Észak-Korea az idén már több alkalommal tesztelt nagy hatótávolságú ballisztikus rakétákat. Washington és Szöul is attól tart, hogy a megrekedt nukleáris leszerelési tárgyalások közepette a kommunista állam ismét elkezdheti atomfegyverek tesztelését, amivel 2017-ben felhagyott.
