Az ungvári rendőrkapitányság nyomozói eljárást indítottak egy kamasz ellen, aki kirabolt egy nyugdíjast.
Az eset a megyeszékhelyen történt. A rendőröket egy 64 éves nyugdíjas értesítette arról, hogy az utcán meglopta egy ismeretlen fiatal. A helyszínre azonnal kiérkezett az operatív csoport. A károsult elmondta, hogy a tettes elvette mobiltelefonját és eltűnt a helyszínről.
A személyleírás alapján a hatóságok rövid időn belül azonosították a tettest, aki egy 16 éves helyi lakos.

A rahói járási rendőrök letartóztattak egy 43 éves Luhanszk megyei férfit, aki kirabolta a Nép Szolgája párt irodáját. Egy laptopot és egy térfigyelő kamerát tulajdonított el.
A rendőrök kulcsot is találtak a férfinél az irodához, az ellopott tárgyakat postán akarta továbbítani valakinek. Az eset augusztus 16-án történt. A hatóságokat a helyi pártvezető értesítette a történtekről.

A büntetett előéletű férfi telefonokat, pénzt, kerékpárokat, televíziót lopott el. A hatóságoknak sikerült is letartóztatniuk, azonban a bírósági tárgyalás után eltűnt, így körözést adtak ki ellene.

A munkácsi rendőrkapitányság dolgozói lebuktattak egy Kropivnickijből érkezett férfit, aki házakat rabolt ki megyénkben.
A hatóságokhoz a beregszentmiklósi lakosoktól érkezett bejelentés, akik elmondták, hogy házaikból ékszer és 10 ezer hrivnya tűnt el. A nyomozóknak sikerült a tettes nyomára bukkanni. A 43 éves férfi már korábban is követett el hasonló bűncselekményt. A munkácsi járási településre a hónap elején érkezett, s ismerőseinél vendégeskedett.
A tolvaj már érkezett hazautazni, azonban a helyi rendőrség letartóztatta. Az otthonában végzett házkutatás során a rendőrök megtalálták az ellopott tárgyakat.
Az ügyben büntetőeljárás indult, akár 8 év börtönbüntetés is várhat az elkövetőre.

A munkácsi rendőrkapitányság nyomozói letartóztattak egy bűnözőt, aki értékes tárgyakat lopott el egy házból Munkácson.
A lopás július 17-én történt, azonban a tettest csak most sikerült elfogni. A tulaj elmondása szerint a házból értékes órák, ékszerek, 3700 euró és dokumentumok tűntek el. Mint kiderült, az elkövető egy 32 éves büntetett előéletű férfi. A hatóságok házkutatást tartottak otthonában, melynek során rátaláltak az ellopott tárgyak egy részére.
Az ügyben büntetőeljárást indítottak, a tettesre akár 8 év börtönbüntetés is várhat.
A hírt a megyei rendőrség kommunikációs osztálya közölte.

Ahogy az Whitehead beszámolóiból és a felvételeken is látszik, a pap azonnal a földre vetette magát amikor meglátta a fegyvereseket, elmondása szerint attól tartva, hogy lövöldözés, és nem „csak” rablás lesz az incidensből. A támadók ezt követően mentek oda a paphoz, és vették el karóráját, nyakláncait, jegygyűrűjét és papi keresztjét. A támadásban senki nem sérült meg, a nyomozók viszont még nem bukkantak rá az elkövetőkre.
Whitehead úgy kommentálta az esetet: „látszik, hogyan cselekszik az ördög”, és 50 ezer dollárt ajánlott nyomravezetői díjnak.
A megtámadott pap egyébként megosztóan fényűző életet él: a NYT szerint rendszeresen dizájner ruhákban tart miséket, és egy Rolls-Royce-t vezet. Whitehead jó kapcsolatot ápol egyébként a helyi polgármesterrel is, akinek júniusban viszont megpróbálta elnyerni a pozícióját – sikertelenül.

Egy 17 és egy 15 éves fiatal kiragadta egy 27 éves helyi férfi kezéből a táskát és elmenekültek a helyszínről. Az áldozat értesítette a rendőrséget, akiknek sikerült rövid időn belül a tettesek nyomára bukkanni, s megtalálták náluk az ellopott táskát is, melyet hamarosan visszaszolgáltatnak a tulajdonosnak.
