Az amerikai haderő közel-keleti térségért felelős parancsnokságának (CENTCOM) szombati közleménye szerint két rakéta robbant a bázison, de senki nem sérült meg, és kár sem keletkezett.
A szíriai kurdok vezette Szíriai Demokratikus Erők (SDF) nevű milíciaszövetség tagjai átvizsgálták a rakéták lezuhanásának helyét, és találtak egy harmadik, fel nem robbant rakétát is. Azt egyelőre nem tudni, ki és honnan indította a rakétákat.

Egy rendőr meghalt és két másik megsebesült egy késes támadásban a brüsszeli északi pályaudvar közelében csütörtök este.
A feltételezett támadót a késelés után lelőtték, közölte a belga rendőrség. A történtekről szűkszavú az első rendőrségi tájékoztatás:
„Az egyik járőrünket megtámadta egy késsel felfegyverkezett férfi. A két rendőr ezután erősítést hívott. Egy másik járőr egyik rendőre lőfegyverrel semlegesítette a támadót. A két sérült nyomozót és a támadót kórházba szállították” – tette közzé a rendőrség.
Egy igazságügyi tisztviselő, akit a nyomozás érdekeire való hivatkozással nem neveztek meg, azt mondta az Associated Press hírügynökségnek, hogy „terrortámadás gyanúja áll fenn”.
A belga közszolgálati média szerint a támadó azt kiabálta, hogy „Allahu Akbar”, vagyis „Az Isten hatalmas”. A Le Soir című napilap szerint a halott rendőrt nyakon szúrták, és a kórházban halt meg.
A La Libre Belgique című francia nyelvű belga napilap információi szerint a gyanúsítottat korábban beidézték a lakhelye szerinti rendőrségre egy közlekedési kihágás miatt.
A gyanúsított csütörtök reggel jelent meg a rendőrségen, majd ügyének intézését követően közölte: a nap folyamán támadást fog elkövetni rendőrök ellen. Bejelentéséről a rendőrőrsön jelentést írtak, majd elengedték.
Sarah Durant, a brüsszeli ügyészség szóvivője közölte: nyomozást rendeltek el a támadás körülményeinek kivizsgálására, ami feltehetően terrorizmushoz köthető. Ezért az ügy vizsgálatát a belga szövetségi ügyészség vette át.
A férfi azt kiabálta, hogy „Allahu Akbar”, vagyis „Az Isten hatalmas” miközben rátámadt két rendőrjárőrre a brüsszeli északi pályaudvar közelében. Az egyik rendőrt a nyakán érte a szúrás, ő kórházba szállítás után elhunyt. A másik az ágyékánál sérült meg. Őt kórházban ápolják. Utóbbi hívott erősítést, és a helyszínre érkező társa lelőtte a késes támadót.
Alexander De Croo belga miniszterelnök részvétnyilvánító üzenetet küldött a halott rendőr családjának és barátainak. Annelies Verlinden belügyminiszter kijelentette, “elfogadhatatlan a rendőreink elleni ilyen erőszak.”

„Terrorista ideológia” vezérelte azt a gyújtogatásos támadást, amelyet egy hete követett el a délkelet-angliai Doverben működő menekültügyi központ ellen egy idős brit férfi – közölte szombaton a Scotland Yard terrorelhárítási ügyosztálya.
Az akciót a 66 éves Andrew Leak követte el. A támadásban a belügyminisztériumi intézmény két alkalmazottja könnyebben megsérült.
Leak, aki a dél-angliai High Wycombe városában élt, szemtanúk beszámolói szerint két vagy három Molotov-koktélt dobott múlt vasárnap a bevándorlási és menedékjogi ügyeket intéző központ épületére az angliai kikötővárosban.
A támadó autóval érkezett a helyszínre, majd miután az épületre hajította a házilagos gyújtóeszközöket, egy közeli üzemanyagtöltő állomásra hajtott tovább, ahol öngyilkos lett.
Az ügy kivizsgálásának irányítását már a hét elején átvette a Scotland Yard terrorelhárító szolgálatának délkelet-angliai ügyosztálya, bár az incidenst, amelyben az elkövető kezdetleges gyújtóeszközöket használt, a hatóságok akkor még nem minősítették terrorcselekménynek.
Szombaton azonban Tim Jacques, a terrorelhárítás országos koordinátora bejelentette: az eddig összegyűjtött bizonyítékok alapján megállapítható, hogy az elkövetőt – jóllehet az incidensnek „elmekórtani vonatkozásai” is voltak – elsősorban szélsőjobboldali ideológia vezérelte cselekedete végrehajtásában, és ez már megfelel azoknak a kritériumoknak, amelyek alapján egy adott merényletet terrorcselekménynek lehet nyilvánítani.
Nagy-Britanniába évente több tízezren próbálnak illegálisan átjutni a kontinensről a La Manche csatornán át, többnyire embercsempészek által szervezett csoportokban, amelyek gumicsónakokkal kelnek útra, és az átkelési kísérlet közben elfogottak jelentős részének ügyét a doveri menekültügyi központban intézik.

Egy öngyilkos merénylő támadást intézett egy kabuli iskola ellen, a szörnyű merénylet következtében pedig legkevesebb 32 ember életét vesztette, további 40 pedig megsérült.
Az Al Jazeera beszámolója szerint egy öngyilkos merénylő robbantott egy kabuli iskolában, az afgán fővárosban, s bár az első információk szerint 19 ember vesztette életét, a halálos áldozatok száma 32 főre emelkedett, míg a sérültek számát 40 főre teszik.
Khalid Zadran rendőrségi szóvivő közlése szerint a péntek kora reggeli merénylet a nyugat-kabuli Dasht-e-Barchi negyedben történt, egy olyan közösségben, ahol többségében síita muszlimok élnek, de a hazara kisebbség tagjai közül is többen élnek a körzetben.
A rendőrségi szóvivő megosztotta, a diákok épp egy vizsgára készültek, amikor az öngyilkos merénylő lecsapott az iskolában: a robbanás erejétől 19 ember a helyszínen életét vesztette, s 27 ember megsérült. Az interneten több felvétel is kering, melyek a helyszínen készültek, s megrázó videókon pedig látszik a pusztítás, mindenhol vér van, a mentősök pedig az áldozatokat viszik el a helyszínről.
Zadran közlése szerint az áldozatok között érettségizett lányok és fiúk is vannak, akik az oktatási központban épp egy gyakorlati egyetemi felvételi vizsgát tettek volna, amikor a robbanás bekövetkezett. A támadás azért is furcsa, mert Afganisztánban péntekenként többségében nincsenek nyitva az iskolák.
Anélkül, hogy megnevezte volna azt a személyt, vagy csoportot, mely szerintük a támadás mögött áll, Zadran úgy fogalmazott, “a civil célpontok elleni támadások az ellenség embertelen kegyetlenségét és az erkölcsi normák masszív hiányát bizonyítja”.
Egyelőre egyetlen terrorcsoport sem vállalta a felelősséget az öngyilkos merényletért. A családok a hír hallatára azonnal a közeli kórházakba siettek, ahová folyamatosan érkeztek a mentőautók az áldozatokkal, a fejetlenségben pedig a falakra függesztették ki az elhunytak és a sebesültek nevét.

Négy – húszas éveiben járó – izlandi állampolgárt állítottak elő Kopavogurban, a főváros, Reykjavík egyik elővárosában, és az ország délnyugati részén fekvő Mosfellsbaerben egy szerdai nagyszabású művelet során, amelyben mintegy ötven rendőr vett részt. Az előállítottak közül kettőt csütörtökön előzetes letartóztatásba helyeztek.
A gyanúsítottak indítékai egyelőre ismeretlenek, de a célpontok feltehetően „különböző intézmények és állampolgárok” voltak – közölte Valsson. Az esetleges célpontok között lehetett a parlament és a rendőrség is. A rendőrség közölte, hogy vizsgálja, vannak-e kapcsolatok a gyanúsítottak és szélsőséges szervezetek között, és kapcsolatba lépett külföldi hatóságokkal is.
„Amennyire tudjuk, ez az első ilyen típusú nyomozás (Izlandon) – mondta a felügyelő. A 375 ezres lélekszámú államot 2008-ban „a világ legbékésebb országának” nyilvánították. Izlandon ritka az erőszak, ez az egyik olyan ország, ahol a legalacsonyabb a világon a bűnözési arány, bár az erőszaknak az utóbbi években tapasztalt növekedése aggasztja a hatóságokat.
Terrortámadás viszont már történt a szigetországban. 1986. november 9-én a Sea Shepherd (Tengeri Pásztor) nevű radikális környezetvédő szervezet két aktivistája az izlandi bálnavadászat elleni tiltakozásként betört egy bálnafeldolgozó üzembe, ahol tönkretették a berendezést, majd elsüllyesztettek két, a kikötőben állomásozó bálnavadász hajót. Az esetnek nem volt se sérültje, se halálos áldozata, az anyagi kár viszont jelentős volt.

Teherautó hajtott emberek közé szombat este a hollandiai Nieuw-Beijerland faluban, Rotterdamtól délre, ahol éppen egy utcai rendezvényt tartottak. Az áldozatok pontos száma még nem ismert, az első hírek szerint legalább hárman meghaltak, és többen megsérültek.
A teherautó – egy spanyol fuvarozóvállalat járműve – egy töltésről tért le és hajtott a tömegbe, egy sütögetés résztvevői közé. A rendőrség vizsgálja az eset körülményeit. A NOS holland közszolgálati adó jelentése szerint tíz mentőautó és egy mentőhelikopter érkezett a helyszínre. Több embert kórházba szállítottak.

Korábban szombaton egy hírszerzési tiszt még tizenkét halottról beszélt. A legújabb jelentések szerint legalább negyvenen megsebesültek. A biztonsági erőknek több embert, közöttük gyermekeket sikerült kimenekíteniük a népszerű Hayat Szállodából.
A támadók péntek este két pokolgép robbantásával indították akciójukat. Az egyik egy akadályt rombolt le, a másik a szálloda kapuját. Több fegyveres hatolt be a létesítménybe, amelyet elfoglaltak.
Szemtanúk szerint szombatra virradóan több robbanás hallatszott, amikor a kormányerők megpróbálták visszaszerezni az ellenőrzést a szálloda felett a fegyveresektől. A harcokban a szálloda nagy része megsemmisült – mondták.
A harcok a támadás kezdete után mintegy 24 órával még mindig folytatódtak. Szombat este lövéseket lehetett hallani, amint a biztonsági erők megpróbálták bekeríteni az utolsó fegyverest, aki a szálloda legfelső szintjére vonult vissza.
Az áldozatok személyazonossága egyelőre nem ismert, feltételezik, hogy többségük polgári személy.
Mohamed Abdirahman, a mogadishui Madina Kórház igazgatója elmondta az AP amerikai hírügynökségnek, hogy negyven sebesültet szállítottak be a kórházba. Kilenc embert ellátás után kiengedtek a kórházból, míg öt sebesültet életveszélyes állapotban ápolnak az intenzív osztályon.
Az al-Kaidával kapcsolatban álló al-Shabaab csoport vállalta a felelősséget a támadásért – derül ki a terroristakommunikációt weboldalakon nyomon követő amerikai SITE hírszerzési csoport beszámolójából.

Legkevesebb 12 ember életét vesztette miután az al-Shabaab terrorszervezet fegyveresei megtámadtak egy szállodát Szomália fővárosában, Mogadishuban – közölte szombaton egy hírszerzési tiszt.
A nyilatkozó a Reuters brit hírügynökségnek elmondta, a hatóságok ostrom alá vették az épületet, a művelet még jelenleg is tart.
A támadók péntek este két pokolgép robbantásával indították akciójukat. Az egyik egy akadályt rombolt le, a másik a szálloda kapuját. Több fegyveres hatolt be a létesítménybe, amelyet elfoglaltak.
A hírszerzési tiszt, aki csak a Mohamed keresztnevet adta meg, azt mondta, hogy 12 ember, főleg civilek haltak meg a támadásban.
Szemtanúk szerint szombatra virradóan több robbanás hallatszott, amikor a kormányerők megpróbálták visszaszerezni az ellenőrzést a szálloda felett a fegyveresektől. A harcok során a szálloda nagy része megsemmisült – mondták.
Az al-Kaidával kapcsolatban álló al-Shabaab csoport vállalta a felelősséget a támadásért – derül ki a terrorista kommunikációt weboldalakon nyomon követő amerikai SITE hírszerzési csoport beszámolójából.
Szomáliában a biztonsági helyzet rendkívül rossz, elsősorban az al-Kaida iszlamista terrorszervezethez köthető al-Shabaab milícia merényletei miatt, amely már több mint 10 éve harcol a szomáliai kormány megdöntéséért. Célja egy, az iszlám törvények szigorú értelmezésén alapuló uralom megteremtése.

Feltételezett terrortámadás történt Jeruzsálem több pontján. A fegyveresek elmenekültek a helyszínről, a rendőrség jelenleg is keresi őket. A támadások egy héttel azután történtek, hogy a Gázai övezetben palesztin fegyvereseket célzó izraeli rajtaütésekben 44 embert öltek meg.
Hárman meghaltak és legalább hét ember megsérült, miután ismeretlen fegyveresek tüzet nyitottak Jeruzsálem különböző pontjain. A katasztrófavédelem beszámolója szerint a támadók helyi idő szerint 22 óra után rálőttek egy buszra, és lövöldözni kezdtek a Siratófal melletti parkolóban.
A fegyveresek a támadás után elmenekültek, a rendőrség jelenleg is vizsgálja tartózkodási helyüket. Az azonban egyelőre nem világos, hány támadó volt összesen. A hatóság szóvivője a helyi sajtónak azt nyilatkozta, hogy az esetet feltételezett terrortámadásként kezelik.
A mentőszolgálat beszámolójából kiderült, több sérültet is el kellett látniuk, akik közül ketten kritikus állapotban vannak. Hozzátették: az áldozatokat – hat férfit és egy nőt – jeruzsálemi kórházakba szállították.
A közösségi médiában felfegyverzett rendőrök láthatók a helyszínen, a helyi sajtó pedig arról számolt be, hogy az embereket rövid időre megakadályozták abban, hogy elhagyják a nyugati falat. Egy helyi lap szerint egy támadó megvárta, amíg a busz megérkezik a megállóba, majd azután nyitott tüzet, hogy az utasok felszálltak.
A busz tele volt, zsúfolásig megtelt. Megálltam egy buszmegállóban, majd lövöldözést hallottam, az emberek kiabálni kezdtek, többen megsérültek a buszon – mondta a sofőr.
