Január 21-én 19 óra körül egy munkácsi nő hívta a 102-es vonalat, és jelentette, hogy egyik szomszédja gránáttal fenyegeti. A bejelentő tájékoztatása szerint a lakásban rajta kívül egy kiskorú gyermek lakik.
A rendőrség azonnal elindult a helyszínre. A rendfenntartók hatástalanították a támadót, és egy robbanószerkezetet foglaltak le tőle. A fogvatartottról kiderült, hogy egy 42 éves helyi lakos. A férfitól az F‒1-es gránáton kívül, amellyel a férfi megfenyegette az áldozatot, a nyomozók több mint három tucat töltényt foglaltak le.
A gyanúsított jelenleg ideiglenes fogdában van. Magatartásának okait az előzetes vizsgálat során állapítják meg. Jelenleg úgy tudni, hogy a férfi ittas volt. 3-tól 7 évig terjedő szabadságvesztés fenyegeti. A nyomozás tart.

„A Munkács egyik szupermarketjében történt robbanásról szóló bejelentést hajnali 5 órakor jelentették a rendőrségnek. Szerencsére abban az időben nem tartózkodtak vásárlók a szupermarketben, így nem voltak áldozatok” ‒ mondta.

Munkácson, az Ivan Franko utcában a hatóságok járőrözés közben felfigyeltek egy gyanús férfira, aki feltűnően ideges lett, amikor meglátta a rendőrautót.
A 35 éves férfi ellenőrzése során a rendfenntartók egy zöld anyagot tartalmazó papírtekercset és egy kristályos anyagot tartalmazó fóliatekercset találtak.
Mivel mindkét anyag hasonlított a kábítószerre, a járőrök értesítették az operatív csoportot. Az ügyben büntetőeljárás indult, a nyomozás folyik.
