Viharos szilveszter volt Oroszország-szerte, miután több régióban is jelentettek dróntámadásokat január 1-jén a kora reggeli órákban, amelyek tüzet okoztak olajipari létesítményekben Kaluga megyében és a Krasznodari határterületen – közölte a The Kyiv Independent orosz Telegram-csatornák és megfigyelőcsoportokra hivatkozva.
A helyi lakosok videókat osztottak meg, amelyeken az égbolt fénye és az energiatermelő létesítményeknek otthont adó ipari területeken tomboló nagy tüzek láthatók. A Kaluga megyei Ljudinovo városában a jelentések szerint egy helyi olajtároló létesítményt találtak el.

A Háborús Tanulmányok Intézete (ISW) nem talált semmilyen bizonyítékot Oroszország állításaira, miszerint Ukrajna támadást indított Vlagyimir Putyin valdaji rezidenciája ellen. Az ISW megjegyezte, hogy a támadásról szóló jelentések nem tartalmaznak semmilyen jellegzetes nyomot, amely megerősítené a művelet tényét. Nincsenek videófelvételek sem robbanásokról, sem tűzről vagy füstről az épület közelében, illetve károkról sem érkezett jelentés − írta az Unian.
Az elemzők felhívták a figyelmet a moszkvai nyilatkozatok ellentmondásaira is. Szergej Lavrov orosz külügyminiszter azt állította, hogy az orosz légvédelem 89 ukrán drónt lőtt le a Novgorodi régió felett, míg az orosz védelmi minisztérium csak 47 drónról számolt be. „Az ilyen eltérések aláássák a Kreml nyilatkozatainak hitelességét” – közölte az ISW.
Az intézet hangsúlyozta, hogy korábban az ukrán erők valóban támadtak katonai célpontokat a Novgorodi régióban, és ezeket a támadásokat megerősítették. Ugyanakkor a orosz fél nem közölt olyan tényadatokat, amelyek alátámasztanák azt a verziót, hogy december 29-én Vlagyimir Putyin rezidenciáját támadták.
Az orosz ellenzéki lap, a Sota információi is kétségessé tette, hogy valóban történt-e katonai művelet, ugyanis a lap adatai szerint Valdaj lakói éjszaka nem hallották a légvédelmi rendszerek működésbe lépését. Arra a következtetésre jutottak, hogy a rezidencia megsemmisítése „technikailag lehetetlennek” tűnik, és csak „csoda” vagy a katonai parancsnokság szándékos tétlensége esetén történhetett meg. Az ISW arra is emlékeztetett, hogy 2022-től 2025 augusztusáig Oroszország jelentősen megerősítette a légvédelmet Valdaj környékén – a védelmi rendszerek száma kettőről tizenkettőre nőtt.

Kimentették a tízfős legénységet arról a balesetet szenvedett, gambiai zászló alatt hajózó Kairos nevű tankerről, amelyet Ukrajna november végén tengeri drónnal támadott meg a Boszporusznál – közölte Grozdan Karadzsov bolgár miniszterelnök-helyettes, közlekedési miniszter hétfői sajtótájékoztatóján.
„A dél-bulgáriai Ahtopol fürdőváros környékén, partközelben zátonyra futott Kairos legénységének evakuálása befejeződött. Jelenleg a végéhez közeledik a kiegészítő műszaki berendezések szállításának előkészítése […] és a hajó biztonságos helyre vontatása” – közölte a miniszterelnök-helyettes.
Elmondta, hogy a tulajdonos kérésére a legénység három tagja a szükséges ellenőrzés biztosítására a fedélzeten maradt, míg a többi hét embert, akiket a bolgár haditengerészet helikopterével evakuáltak, egy várnai szállodában helyezték el. „A művelet befejezése után az összes költséget a tulajdonos fogja fedezni” – mondta Karadzsov.
A miniszterelnök-helyettes hozzátette, hogy a vontatás kedvező időjárási körülmények között és a hajó biztonsági ellenőrzése után fog megtörténni, ami várhatóan körülbelül egy hetet fog igénybe venni.
Hétfőn Karadzsov és Georg Georgiev bolgár külügyminiszter találkoztak Törökország szófiai diplomáciai képviseletének vezetőjével, és magyarázatot kértek arra, hogy a Timur Bey török vontatóhajó miért vontatta bolgár felségvizekre a tartályhajót, majd miért hagyta magára nagyjából hat mérföldre a bolgár partoktól.
Törökország november 28-án jelentette, hogy a Kairos a fekete-tengeri Novorosszijszk orosz kikötőváros felé hajózott, amikor körülbelül 28 tengeri mérföldre a török partoktól dróntámadás érte, mely tüzet okozott. A Kairos szerepel azoknak a hajóknak a listáján, amelyek szankciók alá esnek Oroszország Ukrajna elleni háborúja miatt.
