A 2024-es év végi adatok szerint legkevesebb 121 aktivista, önkéntes, emberi jogi aktivista és újságíró halt meg Oroszország Ukrajna elleni teljes körű agressziója következtében – számolt be a ZMINA Emberi Jogi Központ a Civil társadalom és a média veszteségei az Ukrajna elleni teljes körű orosz invázió három éve alatt elnevezésű beszámoló bemutatása során.
A civil társadalom e veszteségeit nehéz teljes mértékben felfogni a folyamatban lévő háború és a pontos adatok megszerzésének nehézségei miatt, különösen a megszállt területekről. Sok tény csak néhány hónap múlva válik ismertté, vagy hiányos marad. A jelentés társszerzője, Tetyana Pecsoncsik megjegyezte, hogy ez a beszámoló a szabad világ értékei védelmében elhunyt emberek tiszteletére készült.
A jelentés szerint a legtöbb aktivista és újságíró 2022 márciusában halt meg, különösen azokon a területeken, ahol az ukránok szervezett ellenállást szerveztek. 2022-ben a civil társadalom és a média 81 képviselője halt meg, 2023-ban 19, 2024-ben 21. A legtöbb áldozat Kijev és Donyeck régiókban (33 fő), Harkivban 24, Herszonban 11 volt.
A fő halálokok – a megszállt területekről való evakuálási kísérletek, a humanitárius támogatások szállítása, valamint a tömeges lövöldözések voltak. Sok személyt hazafias álláspontjuk vagy a megszállókkal szembeni hűtlenség gyanúja miatt öltek meg. Az információhoz való hozzáférés hiánya miatt a halál körülményeinek egy részét még nem sikerült megállapítani.
A jelentés az Európai Unió támogatásával készült, és ellenőrzött nyílt forrásokból, az áldozatok hozzátartozóival és halálesetek tanúival készült interjúkból állították össze.

A Köln–Bonn nemzetközi repülőtér kifutójához ragasztotta magát öt klímaaktivista. A Last Generation szervezet azt akarja elérni, hogy hat éven belül állítsák le a fosszilis tüzelőanyagok felhasználását. Azt még vizsgálják, hogy az aktivisták hogyan jutottak be a repülőtér kifutóihoz.
Öt klímaaktivista a Köln–Bonn nemzetközi repülőtér kifutójához ragasztotta magát szerda reggel, aminek következtében fel kellett függeszteni a repülőtér forgalmát. „Megpróbáljuk kiszabadítani őket, de ez eltarthat egy ideig” – adta hírül az MTI a német rendőrség szóvivőjének közleménye alapján.
Az aktivisták ellen a gyülekezési törvény megszegése, a légi forgalom veszélyes megzavarása és illetéktelen behatolás miatt emelhetnek vádat. Azt még vizsgálják, hogy az aktivisták hogyan jutottak be a repülőtér kifutóihoz.
A Last Generation szervezet az X közösségimédia-platformon arról számolt be, hogy aktivistái átvágtak egy kerítést, és a kifutópályák közelében ragasztották magukat az aszfalthoz.
A klímaaktivista-csoport közlése szerint az akció annak a nemzetközi tiltakozókampánynak a része, amellyel el akarják érni, hogy 2030-ra világszerte leállítsák a fosszilis tüzelőanyagok felhasználását. A tiltakozó akciót a tervek szerint több ország repülőterein akarták végrehajtani egyidejűleg – írták.
Ahogy azt az Indexen olvashatták, tavaly májusban Münchenben szervezett hasonló ragasztós megmozdulást a klímaaktivista-csoport. Akkor nyolc embert tartóztattak le a német hatóságok. Szintén az elmúlt évben Genfben bénult meg egy időre a légi közlekedés, miután a Greenpeace környezetvédelmi szervezet felhívására mintegy száz klímaaktivista a magánrepülőgépek betiltását követelve elfoglalta az európai üzletirepülőgép-kiállítás és iparági konferencia számára fenntartott egyik futópályát.

Állatvédő aktivisták megrongálták kedden III. Károly király alig egy hónapja felavatott hivatalos portréját. A galéria, ahol a kép látható, rövid vizsgálat után közölte, hogy a festménynek nem esett baja.
A brit uralkodót formabontó módon ábrázoló hatalmas, 2,6 méter magas és 2 méter széles alkotás – az egyik legelismertebb kortárs brit portréművész, Jonathan Yeo munkája – a neves brit képzőművészeti magángyűjtemény, a Philip Mould Gallery londoni kiállítótermében látható.
Az Animal Rising (Állatfelkelés) nevű, magát erőszakmentes állatvédő szervezetként jellemző csoport két tagja Károly arcmására a Wallace és Gromit című brit animációs vígjátéksorozat emberi főszereplője, Wallace stilizált arcképét ragasztotta, alá pedig egy szövegbuborékot illesztett, amelyben Wallace felhívja hűséges kutyája, Gromit figyelmét arra, hogy milyen kegyetlenül bánnak a brit farmokon a tenyészállatokkal.
Az Animal Rising nyilatkozata szerint az aktivisták azért választották a tiltakozás e formáját, mert köztudott, hogy a király a Wallace és Gromit sorozat rajongója, és az is, hogy szívén viseli az állatvédelem ügyét.
A szervezet közölte: olyan farmokat vizsgált meg, amelyek az állatkínzás ellen küzdő, királyi védnökség alatt működő brit szervezet (RSPCA) jóváhagyó tanúsítványának birtokában vannak, de ezzel együtt is „elrettentő kegyetlenséggel” bánnak állatállományukkal. A csoport felszólította III. Károly királyt, hogy függessze fel az RSPCA támogatását, amíg ez a helyzet nem változik.
Kedd délután a galéria közölte, hogy a festmény nem rongálódott meg, mivel az aktivisták a képet védő üvegre ragasztották a stilizált filmkaraktert és a szöveget. Később a csoport is bejelentette, hogy csak vízzel ragasztotta a két papírt az üvegre, és az egész akciót csupán „derűs epizódnak” szánta.
A festmény, amely a brit hadsereg egyik alakulata, a Welsh Guards vörös díszegyenruhájában, ugyancsak a vörös különböző intenzív árnyalataiban játszó háttér előtt ábrázolja a királyt, négy évig készült, és Károly személyesen avatta fel május 14-én.
Az alkotás az első hivatalos királyi portré III. Károly tavaly májusi koronázása óta.Az el múlt időszakban több más, a keddinél jóval komolyabb támadás is történt nagy értékű képzőművészeti alkotások és történelmi emlékek ellen Londonban.
Májusban az angol-brit alkotmányosság ősi jogforrása, a Magna Carta egyik példányának tárolóját próbálta összetörni a Just Stop Oil nevű környezetvédő csoport két idős aktivistája vésővel és kalapáccsal a londoni brit nemzeti könyvtárban.
A felbecsülhetetlen értékű történelmi dokumentum nem sérült meg.
A csoport két másik tagja 2022 októberében a londoni Nemzeti Galériában konzerv paradicsomlevest öntött Vincent van Gogh egyik leghíresebb, Napraforgók című festményére.
A képkeretet kisebb károsodás érte, az alkotás azonban – amelyet üveglap védett – sértetlen maradt. Tavaly novemberben a Just Stop Oil két tagja szintén a londoni Nemzeti Galériában Diego Velázquez Vénusz tükörrel című alkotásának védőüvegét törte be több helyen.

Eljárás indult a két aktivista ellen, akik paradicsomlevessel öntötték le Vincent van Gogh Napraforgók című festményét – írta szombaton a BBC hírportálja.
A portál a városi rendőrségre hivatkozva közölte, hogy a londoni Nemzeti Galériában pénteken elkövetett akció miatt a 20 éves newcastle-i Anna Hollandot és a 21 éves claphami Phoebe Plummert idézték be a westminsteri bíróságra.
Egy harmadik aktivista, a 38 éves Lora Johnson ellen szándékos károkozás vádjával indul büntetőeljárás, mivel sárga festékkel locsolta le a rendőrség főépülete előtt álló Scotland Yard feliratú táblát és környezetét.
A rendőrség beszámolója szerint az elmúlt nap folyamán 28 embert tartóztattak le Londonban, miután a két aktivista által képviselt Just Stop Oil nevű környezetvédő csoport két hete tart demonstrációkat a brit fővárosban.
Pénteken az aktivisták a Scotland Yard főépületéhez vezető utat is eltorlaszolták. Az ellen tiltakoznak, hogy a kormány az energiaellátási kockázatok csökkentése végett új nyersolaj-kitermelési engedélyek kiadását tervezi.
A Nemzeti Galéria péntek este közleményben tudatta, hogy jóllehet az 1888-ban készült festmény keretét kisebb károsodás érte a paradicsomlevesnek tűnő folyadék miatt, az alkotás – amelyet üveglap védett – sértetlen maradt, és megfelelő tisztítás után, 6 óra elteltével visszakerült helyére, tehát ismét látogatható.

Az Extinction Rebellion aktivista szervezet tagjai hatoltak be pénteken a brit alsóház üléstermébe, majd tiltakozni kezdtek, és a házelnök széke köré ragasztózták magukat.
A tüntetők a csoport közösségi oldalán osztottak meg egy fotót, melyen öt tag látható kezükben táblákkal, rajtuk „Hadd döntsenek az emberek!” illetve „Azonnal összehívni az állampolgárok gyűlését!” feliratokkal.
„Válság van, és ami ebben a teremben zajlik, azzal bohócot csinálnak mindannyiunkból. Nem engedhetjük meg, hogy ez így menjen tovább. Új fajta döntéshozatalra van szükség, ahol többen hallathatják a hangjukat” – mondta az egyik tiltakozó az ülésteremben felvett videóban.
A csoport más tagjai molinót függesztettek ki az épületre, míg megint mások a kerítéshez lakatolták magukat. A brit parlament jelenleg nem ülésezik. Az alsóház szóvivője tudatta: kezelik a helyzetet.
A csoport korábban többször okozott már káoszt a londoni közlekedésben. Többnyire klímavédelmi kérdésekben hallatják hangjukat.

Az orosz földgázimport leállítását követelő félmeztelen aktivisták zavarták meg vasárnap Olaf Scholz német kancellárt berlini lakossági fórumát. A kancellári hivatal kertjében tartott rendezvényen éppen véget ért a beszélgetés, Olaf Scholz már a vendégekkel fotózkodott, amikor közrefogta két fiatal nő, akik azonban nem szelfit készítettek a kormányfővel, hanem hirtelen lerántották magukról trikójukat.
A fedetlen felsőtestű aktivisták játék papírpénzt szórtak szét és az orosz földgázimport leállítását követelő lózungokat kiabáltak. Felsőtestükön az a felirat látszott, hogy Gas embargo now (Gázembargót most).
A kancellár nem reagált a követelésekre. Az aktivistákat biztonsági emberek vezették el. Az incidens a szövetségi kormány nyílt napján történt. A hagyományos – huszonegyedik alkalommal megtartott – szombat-vasárnapi rendezvénysorozaton valamennyi minisztériumban szerveztek kiállításokat, fórumokat, ismeretterjesztő játékokat, koncerteket. Több tárcánál kiemelten foglalkoztak Ukrajna helyzetével, a külügyminisztériumban például külön standon mutatták be az orosz támadás ellen védekező országnak nyújtott német segítség formáit, és ukrán előadóművészeket is meghívtak.
Olaf Scholz lakossági fórumán is volt szó az Ukrajna ellen indított orosz háborúról és annak németországi következményeiről. A kancellár ezzel összefüggésben a többi között kifejtette, hogy már 2023 elején üzembe állíthatják a cseppfolyósított földgáz (LNG) fogadására alkalmas első németországi tengeri terminált, majd év közben két másikat, és így 2024 elejére sikerülhet megoldani az „ellátásbiztonsági problémánkat”.
Olaf Scholz számos alkalommal kiállt nyilvánosan amellett, hogy az Európai Unió (EU) ne korlátozza az oroszországi földgázimportot. A napokban tartott nyári nemzetközi sajtóértekezletén például kifejtette, hogy helyesen döntött az EU és a legfejlettebb iparosodott országait összefogó G7 csoport azzal, hogy Oroszország Ukrajna elleni háborújával összefüggésben nem sújtotta szankciókkal az orosz gázbehozatalt.
Kiemelte, hogy számos kelet-európai uniós tag „nagyon-nagyon erősen” függ az orosz földgázszállításoktól, és Németország is részben – a norvég és holland import mellett – az orosz forrásra építi az ellátást.
Aláhúzta, hogy Németország részéről is hiba volt az orosz importfüggőség kialakítása, korábban el kellett volna kezdeni a diverzifikációt, a több forrásra alapozó földgázellátás kiépítését.
Azonban a tavaly decemberben hivatalba lépett kormány már jóval az Ukrajna elleni háború kezdete előtt elkezdte felmérni, hogy milyen következményekkel járhat az orosz szállítások kiesése, és időközben számos jelentős lépést tett, így nagy ütemben halad a többi között az LNG fogadására alkalmas terminálok kialakításának előkészítése – tette hozzá Olaf Scholz.
Arról is szólt, hogy az LNG mellett az európai vezetékrendszer fejlesztését is folytatni kell, így előre kell mozdítani a Németország, illetve Közép-Európa felé a Portugália–Spanyolország–Franciaroszág útvonalon érkező nemzetközi vezetékrendszer ügyét. Egy ilyen földgázvezeték igen nagy mértékben javíthatná az ellátási helyzetet – mondta a német kancellár. Ugyanakkor Németország mindenképp szolidaritást vállal európai uniós partnereivel, szükség esetén segít a földgázellátás biztosításában – tette hozzá.

Több millió eurós kárt okoztak azok a zöld aktivisták, akik Franciaországban nyugati részében megállásra kényszerítettek egy vonatot, majd a sínekre eresztették a rakományát, melyről azt hitték, hogy szója. Mint kiderült, nem szója, hanem búza volt a kocsikban, az agrárminiszter felelőtlennek nevezte az akciót, mivel sok országban nincs elég gabona.
Nagy felháborodást okozott az Extinction Rebellion nevű radikális klímavédő kollektíva akciója, mellyel a nagyüzemi állattenyésztés ellen kívántak tiltakozni Bretagne-ban, Franciaországban. A mintegy ötven főből álló csapat téglákból falat emelt a vasúti sínekre, ily módon megállásra kényszerítve a vonatot, melynek rakományáról azt hitték, hogy szója. Az aktivisták kinyitották a kocsik szelepét, majd a sínekre ömlött a temérdek búza, melyről eredetileg azt hitték, hogy a Bretagne régióban nagyüzemben tartott állatok takarmányozására használt gabona.
Az aktivisták akkor sem zárták el a szelepeket, mikor meglátták, hogy valójában búza van a vagonokban, mivel elmondásuk alapján elítélik azt a rendszert, amely csapdába ejti a gazdálkodókat és szennyezi a bolygót és a levegőt, a nagyüzemi állattartással foglalkozó gazdaságok által kibocsátott ammóniával. Az akció során mintegy 1500 tonna búza ömlött ki a vasúti sínekre, az aktivisták pedig elmenekültek a helyszínről. A mozdony vezetőjének nyilatkozata alapján ez volt az első alkalom, hogy ilyen jellegű támadás érte a vonatot, mely teljesen megrekedt a sínekre ömlött búza miatt, nem tudott továbbmenni.
Az akciót többen is elítélték, Julien Denormandie francia agrárminiszter a Twitteren elfogadhatatlannak, felelőtlennek, továbbá elszomorítónak nevezte a gabona tönkretételét, mivel sok országban jelenleg nincs belőle elég. A politikus szerint az ügyben igazságszolgáltatásra van szükség.
Az AGPB Céréaliers de France nevű gabonaipari vállalat elnöke, Eric Thirouin szintén elítélte az Extinction Rebellion akcióját, mellyel a mezőgazdasági dolgozók egy éves munkáját tették tönkre, hozzátéve, hogy az elkövetőket felelősségre kell vonni.
Christiane Lambert, az Országos Mezőgazdasági Szakszervezetek Szövetségének (FNSEA) és az Európai Gazdálkodók (COPA) és Európai Termelőszövetkezetek (COGECA) Egyesületének elnöke szerint szégyenteljes, hogy míg az ENSZ tömeges éhínségtől tart az ukrán háború miatt, addig jóllakott aktivisták büntetlenül és nyíltan teszik tönkre az ételt, Lambert gyors és szigorú igazságszolgáltatást kér az elkövetők ügyében.
Morbihan megye rendőrfőnöke, Joël Mathurin sajtóközleményt adott ki, melyben teljes mértékben elítéli az akciót, mivel a vonat elleni támadás eredményeképp jelentős mennyiségű búza tönkrement és az anyagi kár is jelentős. Elmondása alapján több feljelentés is érkezett az ügyben, az elkövetőknek pedig az igazságügyi hatóságok előtt kell felelniük tetteikért, írja az Ouest-France nevű helyi lap.

A Brüsszelben tüntető aktivisták egy csoportja azt akarja elérni, hogy számon kérjék Pakisztánt az öt évtizeddel ezelőtti erőszakos eseményekkel kapcsolatban, amelyek állítólag egészen eddig büntetlenül maradtak.
1971. március 26-án a pakisztáni csapatok Kelet-Pakisztánba vonultak annak érdekében, hogy a Banglades függetlenségéért egyre növekvő mozgalmat leállítsák. Ezt követően egy kilenc hónapig tartó szabadságharc vette kezdetét, amely december 16-án Pakisztán vereségével és megadásával ért véget.
A bengáli lakosságnak okozott veszteségek mértéke, valamint a Pakisztán által kiadott Fetva (egy vallásjogi döntés az iszlámban, mely csak akkor alkalmazható, ha a kérdésre nincs válasz sem a Koránban, sem az idzsmában, sem pedig a hadíszokban) mely arra ösztönözte a katonákat, hogy “hadizsákmányként” kezeljék a bengáli nőket, hárommillió embert öltek meg, köztük 400 ezer nőt, a fiatal lányokat pedig megerőszakolták.
Az 1971-es eseményeket széles körben népirtásnak tekintik, ezért a belga bengáli közösség egy összefogás keretében emberi jogi aktivistákkal hívta fel az Európai Unió figyelmét a múltbéli eseményekre, s azt kérik, hogy az unió ismerje el a népirtás tényét.
Dr. Manel Mselmi, az Európai Kisebbségvédelmi Egyesület elnöke elmondta, a népirtás emlékeztet minket arra, hogy mindannyian emberek vagyunk, és tiszteletben kell tartanunk egymás kulturális örökségét, nyelvét és vallását.
“A nyelvi és vallási szinteken alapuló konfliktusokat soha nem lehet erőszakkal, háborúval, üldöztetéssel és kínzásokkal megoldani, mert az elnyomott emberek mindig arra törekednek, hogy megtalálják a szabadságot és a méltóságot, és annak ellenére, hogy elveszítik családjukat és földjeiket, mindig megőrzik értékeiket és identitásukat” – fogalmazott Dr. Mselmi.
Az aktivisták felszólították Pakisztán kormányát, hogy ismerje el és vállalja felelősségét korábbi cselekedeteiért. Andy Vermaut belga emberi jogi aktivista által személyesen átadott levélben, amelyet Josep Borrell, az Európai Külügyi Szolgálat főképviselőjéhez intézett, felszólították az Európai Bizottságot, hogy “használja fel jelentős politikai erejét, hogy nyomást tudjon gyakorolni a pakisztáni kormányra, hogy ismerje el felelősségét a népirtó atrocitásért”.

A vélhetően kongói származású, francia ajkú aktivisták, csütörtökön a YouTube-on tettek közzé egy videót, amelyben az ellopott szoborral pózolnak a múzeumban, mielőtt a rendőrség letartóztatta őket. A videóban kifejtették, hogy a múzeum csaknem félmillió olyan műtárgyat őriz, amelyet a gyarmatosítás időszakában tulajdonított el a holland állam.
