Az iráni hatóságok januárban és februárban legalább 94 embert végeztek ki – közölte csütörtökön az Amnesty International (AI) nemzetközi emberi jogi szervezet.
Az AI és az Abdorrahman Boroumand Center, egy iráni emberi jogi szervezet, amelynek székhelye az Egyesült Államokban van, közölte, hogy az iráni hatóságok legalább egy ahvázi arabot, 14 kurdot és 13 beludzsot végeztek ki „súlyosan igazságtalan pereket” követően, és legalább egy tucatnyi további embert ítéltek halálra az év eleje óta. Az ahvázi arabok, a kurdok, valamint a beludzsok önállóságuk kivívását szeretnék elérni.
Az emberi jogi szervezetek kutatásai szerint a kivégzések száma jelentősen megnőtt az előző évhez képest. Forrásaikra hivatkozva „szörnyű szexuális erőszakról és egyéb kínzásokról szóló állításokról” is beszámoltak.
Roya Boroumand, az Abdorrahman Boroumand Központ ügyvezető igazgatója azt mondta, az iráni hatóságok ijesztő mértékben hajtanak végre kivégzéseket. Dianay Eltahawy, az AI munkatársa arról számolt be, hogy a kivégzések rendszeresek, miközben a vádlottak elítélésére kínzással hamisított vallomásokat használnak fel a súlyosan igazságtalan perekben.
A nyilatkozó sürgetett minden államot, hogy gyakoroljon egyetemes joghatóságot minden olyan iráni tisztviselő felett, akit alaposan gyanúsítanak a nemzetközi jog szerinti bűncselekmények és az emberi jogok egyéb súlyos megsértése miatt fennálló büntetőjogi felelősséggel.
Az emberi jogi aktivisták évek óta élesen bírálják a halálbüntetés alkalmazását Iránban, mondván, hogy azt az elnyomás eszközeként és tisztességtelen perek után alkalmazzák.
A kivégzések hivatalos számai nem ismertek. Az Amnesty International szerint 2022 első felében legalább 250 embert végeztek ki Iránban, főként kábítószerrel kapcsolatos bűncselekmények miatt. A halálos ítéleteket Iránban általában akasztással hajtják végre.

Egyértelmű háborús bűncselekmény volt az ukrajnai Mariupol város színházát ért orosz légicsapás – számol be az Amnesty International jelentéséről a BBC.
Az emberi jogi csoport jelentésében azt írta, az orosz erők „vélhetően szándékosan vették célba az épületet”, tudván, hogy ott fegyvertelen civilek tartózódnak.
A képek tanúsága szerint az épület elé oroszul a „gyerekek” szót írták fel jól látható módon, nagy betűkkel. Az Amnesty International úgy véli, a színház nem volt legitim katonai célpont.
Azt valószínűsítik, két féltonnás bombát használhattak a mészárláshoz, melyek közel csapódtak be, s egyszerre robbantak fel. Az AI azt állítja, nem találtak meggyőző bizonyítékot arra nézve, hogy esetleg másképp történhettek volna az események – beleértve az orosz védelmi minisztérium azon közlését is, mely szerint az épületből egy úgynevezett „hamis zászlós” műveletet hajtottak végre.
„Arra következtetünk, hogy a légicsapás egyértelműen háborús bűncselekmény volt, melyet az orosz erők követtek el”- jelentette ki az Amnesty International főtitkára.
Agnès Callamard hangsúlyozta, rengetegen megsérültek, vagy éppen veszítették életüket ebben a kegyetlen támadásban, halálukat pedig az okozta, hogy az orosz erők szándékosan ukrán civileket vettek célba.
A színház egyfajta információs központként működött, ahol a várost körülzáró orosz katonai egységek miatt menekülni kényszerülő lakosok kerestek menedéket, illetve segítséget, hogyan hagyhatják el Mariupolt.
Az Amnesty International szerint több száz civil tartózkodott a színházban és annak közelében, amikor a támadás március 16-án, helyi idő szerint délelőtt 10 órakor bekövetkezett, bár pontos időpontot nem sikerült kideríteni Mivel a megszállók azóta elvitték az épületben maradt holttesteket, így ez alighanem már soha nem is lesz lehetséges.
A szemtanúk és túlélők 300-400 és ezer közé tették ezt a számot, akiknek többsége gyerek, nő vagy idős ember volt. A szervezet becslése szerint legalább egy tucat ember halt meg, azonban sok áldozatról nem érkezett jelentés. Megállapították, hogy az elhunytak száma jóval kevesebb lehet, mint azt korábban feltételezték.

Az Amnesty International négy aktivistáját kettő és hat év közötti szabadságvesztésre ítélte pénteken egy török bíróság, írja a BBC. Az Amnesty International törökországi kutatója, Andrew Gardner szerint: „Elképesztő igazságtalanság történt ma a bíróságon. A mai döntés nemcsak az érintetteknek és családjaiknak, de mindenkinek felér egy arcul csapással, aki hisz az igazságban és az emberi jogokban.”

Mindhárman 2 év 1 hónap börtönbüntetést kaptak. Hét másik Amnesty-tagot felmentettek. A 11 emberi jogi aktivistát még 2017 nyarán tartóztatták le.
Az Amnesty International minden vádat tagad, és a fellebbviteli bíróság elé viszi a négy aktivista ügyét. Ameddig ott nem születik döntés, nem kell börtönbe vonulniuk. A fellebbviteli eljárás hónapokig, de akár évekig is eltarthat a CNN szerint.
Taner Kilicet azzal vádolják, hogy kapcsolatban áll Fetullah Gülen mozgalmával, akit Erdogan a 2016-os puccskísérlet mögött sejt. Az USA-ban élő török hitszónok mozgalmát terrorszervezetként tartja nyilván a török kormány. Kilic tagadta, hogy tagja lenne a mozgalomnak.
