A Cybernews szerint akár a történelem egyik legnagyobb adatszivárgási ügye is lehet az, amit most fedeztek fel. A különböző adatszivárgásokból származó felhasználói információkból egy olyan adatbázis állítható össze, amely összesen 16 milliárd rekordot tartalmaz – számoltbe a hvg.hu.
A beszámoló szerint a lap munkatársai az év eleje óta 30 kiszivárgott adathalmazt fedeztek fel, amelyek érzékeny adatokat tartalmaznak, és amelyek elérhetők az interneten. A legkisebb néhány tízmillió rekordból áll míg a legnagyobb 3 milliárd 564 milliót tartalmaz. Az adatok között vannak a hétköznapi szolgáltatásokhoz tartozó felhasználói nevek és jelszavak, de van, amelyikben kormányzati belépési adatok is vannak.
A nyilvánosságra került adathalmazok egyikét sem jelentették korábban, kivéve egyet: május végén a Wired arról számolt be, hogy egy biztonsági kutató felfedezett egy „rejtélyes adatbázist” 184 millió rekorddal. A legaggasztóbb, hogy a kutatók azt állítják, hogy néhány hetente új, hatalmas adathalmazok jelennek meg, jelezve, mennyire hatékonyak a tolvajok, és mennyire elterjedt lehet a lopáshoz használt alkalmazás.
A Cybernewsnak nyilatkozó kiberbiztonsági kutatók szerint a 16 milliárd rekord nem csupán adatszivárgást jelent, hanem azt is, hogy a kiberbűnözők most példátlan hozzáféréssel rendelkeznek a személyes adatokhoz, amelyeket fióklopásra, a személyazonosság ellopásra és célzott adathalászatra használhatnak fel.
A szakemberek szerint, bár az adathalmazokat nem lehetett hosszabb ideig vizsgálni, az szinte biztos, hogy van átfedés az egyes adatbázisok között. Emiatt viszont lehetetlen megmondani, hogy összesen hány ember lehet érintett.
A kiszivárgott adathalmazokban található információk gyakorlatilag minden online szolgáltatáshoz hozzáférést biztosítanak: van köztük Apple-, Facebook- és Google-fiókhoz tartozó, de nem maradt ki a GitHub és a Telegram sem.
A kutatók szerint az adatbázisok elnevezése nem minden esetben segített felderíteni, hogy milyen adatok lehetnek bennük. Ugyanakkor volt olyan, ami már közelebb vitt ehhez. Egy 455 millió rekordot tartalmazó adathalmazt például úgy neveztek el, hogy az arra utal, az Orosz Föderációból származhat. Egy másik, több mint 60 millió rekordot tartalmazó adathalmaz a Telegramhoz kapcsolódhat.
A kutatók arra figyelmeztetnek, hogy ha az adatoknak csupán 1 százaléka helyes, már az is több millió embert tehet áldozattá, akiktől aztán vagy újabb adatokat, vagy akár pénzt is lehet lopni. Éppen ezért érdemes lehet időnként jelszót változtatni, beállítani a kétfaktoros azonosítást, bejelentkezés előtt pedig kifejezetten figyelni arra, hogy valóban az adott szolgáltatás weboldalán legyen az ember.

Az Európai Bizottság 500 illetve 200 millió euró bírságot szabott ki szerdán az Apple és a Meta technológiai óriásvállalatokra az uniós digitális szolgáltatásokra vonatkozó jogszabály megsértése miatt – közölte a brüsszeli testület az MTI tájékoztatása szerint. Ezzel az Európai Unió trösztellenes szabályozói kiosztották az első büntetéseket a BigTech cégek hatalmának korlátozását célzó uniós jogszabályok alapján.
Az uniós szervezet megállapította, hogy az Apple megsértette azt a jogszabályban foglalt kötelezettségét, amely megtiltja platformoknak, hogy korlátozzák fejlesztők vagy vállalkozások lehetőségét abban, hogy más – gyakran kedvezőbb – fizetési, szolgáltatási vagy vásárlási lehetőségekre irányítsák a felhasználókat (anti-steereing). A Meta esetében azt kifogásolta a testület, hogy az óriásvállalat megsértette azt a szabályozási elvet, miszerint a fogyasztóknak választási lehetőséget kell biztosítani olyan szolgáltatás igénybevételére, amely kevesebb személyes adatot használ fel.
Így az európai bizottság 500 millió euró bírságot szabott ki az apple-re, és 200 millió eurót a metára.
Teresa Ribera, a tiszta, igazságos és versenyképes átmenetért felelős uniós biztos a döntéseket követően hangsúlyozta: a digitális szolgálatatásokról szóló jogszabály kulcsfontosságú eszközként szolgál arra, hogy elősegítse a választási szabadságot és ösztönözze a növekedést azáltal, hogy biztosítja a digitális szektor szereplői számára versenyképes és méltányos körülmények közötti működést. Megjegyezte, hogy ez nemcsak az európai fogyasztókat védi, hanem egyenlő versenyfeltételeket is teremt.
Reagáltak a cégek
Az Apple közölte, hogy megtámadja az uniós döntést – írta a Reuters. „A bejelentések újabb példái annak, hogy az Európai Bizottság igazságtalanul veszi célba az Apple-t olyan döntésekkel, melyek ártanak a felhasználók adatvédelmének és biztonságának, ártanak a termékeknek, és arra kényszerítenek minket, hogy ingyen kínáljuk technológiánkat” – olvasható a technológiai vállalat közleményében.
A Meta szintén bírálta az uniós testület lépését. „Az Európai Bizottság megpróbálja hátrányos helyzetbe hozni a sikeres amerikai vállalkozásokat, miközben lehetővé teszi, hogy a kínai és az európai cégek eltérő normák szerint működjenek” – közölték. „Itt nem csak egy bírságról van szó, arra kényszerítenek minket, hogy változtassuk meg az üzleti modellünket, gyakorlatilag egy több milliárd dolláros tarifát szabnak ki a Metára, miközben arra köteleznek, hogy rosszabb szolgáltatást nyújtsunk” – írták.

A büntetés fő oka az App Tracking Transparency (ATT) mechanizmus volt, amely szabályozza, hogy az alkalmazások hogyan követhetik a felhasználók aktivitását.
A francia versenyhivatal, az Autorité de la Concurrence, 150 millió eurós bírságot szabott ki az Apple-re, mivel a vállalat visszaélt domináns helyzetével az iOS és iPadOS mobilalkalmazások forgalmazásának területén. Erről a The Wall Street Journal számolt be március 31-én, hétfőn.
A nyomozás 2021 áprilisi és 2023 júliusi időszakra terjed ki. A francia hatóságok megjegyezték, hogy az Apple úgy vezette be az ATT-t, hogy az megnehezítette a harmadik féltől származó alkalmazások használatát. Az alkalmazásfejlesztőknek engedélyt kellett kérniük a felhasználóktól az aktivitás követésére, ami jelentősen megnehezítette a független kiadók és hirdetési platformok munkáját.
A versenyhivatal arra a következtetésre jutott, hogy az ATT nem volt szükséges a személyes adatok védelme érdekében, és tisztességtelen előnyhöz juttatta az Apple-t a hirdetési piacon.

Tízéves börtönre és negyedmillió dolláros kártérítésre ítélhetik Amerikában azt a kínai mérnököt, aki az Apple szupertitkos autós projektjéről lopott üzleti titkokat.
Az Apple autós projektjétől üzleti titkokat ellopó egykori alkalmazott, Hsziaolang Zsang bűnösnek vallotta magát hétfői meghallgatásán a San José-i szövetségi bíróság előtt. Zsang vádalkut kötött, ezért vélhetően mentesül a maximális büntetési tétel alól, amiről novemberben határoz a bíróság.
A vádalku feltételeit titkosan kezelik.
Zsang a vádirat szerint 2015 óta dolgozott az Apple-nél, legutóbb hardvermérnöki beosztásban a technológiai óriás önvezető járművekkel foglalkozó részlegénél, a Compute Team nevű csoportban, amely az érzékelők áramköri lapjait tervezte és tesztelte.
S ha már alkalma nyílt rá, letöltötte az Apple autós projektjéről szóló titkosított fájlokat, köztük azt a 25 oldalas dokumentumot, amely az önvezető jármű irányító áramkörét tartalmazza. Az áramköri tervek vázlatai az elektronikai iparban a legféltettebb és legértékesebb üzleti titkok közé tartoznak.
Zsang másolatot készített a sajtóban iCarként aposztrofált prototípussal kapcsolatos kézikönyvekről és egyéb dokumentumokról.
Pechjére az Apple zárt láncú kamerái rögzítették a mozgását, amint belép a laborba, és hardvereket lop el.
S hogy a megszerzett tudását hasznosítsa, 2018 áprilisában Kínába repült, ahonnan apasági szabadságáról visszatérve benyújtotta felmondását, jelezve szándékát, hogy odahaza akar dolgozni és beteg édesanyját gondozni.
Azt is elmondta az akkori felettesének, hogy a kínai villanyautó-gyártás egyik nagy nevénél, az amerikai tőzsdén is jegyzett Xpengnél folytatja pályafutását. Így is történt, annak Szilícium-völgyi irodájában jelentkezett munkára 2018 májusában. Nem sok időt tölthetett náluk, ugyanis 2018. július 7-én
Zsang, érezve, hogy szorul a hurok, last minute jegyet vett egy San Joséból Kínába induló járatra, amikor is a repülőtéren lekapcsolták az FBI ügynökei. Az Apple-nél már akkor tisztában voltak a helyzettel, amikor Zsang hazarepült. A mérnök az Xpengnél aláírta a szellemi tulajdonjogi szabályzatot, ezért nem keltett gyanút.
A kínai vállalat állítása szerint nem volt tudomása arról, hogy Zsang az Apple-től lopott el iratokat esetlegesen azzal a céllal, hogy azokat náluk hasznosítsa. Az Xpeng azonnal zárolta Zsang számítógépeit, és aktívan együttműködött az ügy feltárásában.
Arról nem a szólnak a tudósítások, hogy a Zsang által az Apple-től ellopott ipari titkok eljutottak-e illetéktelen kezekbe,
A négy évvel ezelőtt elkezdődött ügy egyik hozadéka egyébként az, hogy fény derült arra, amit az Apple évek óta agyonhallgatott, vagyis arra, hogy a cég valamilyen formában valóban be kíván szállni az autóiparba.

Az Európai Bizottság több hónapos előzetes vizsgálat alapján azzal vádolja az amerikai információtechnológiai óriáscéget, az Apple-t, hogy visszaélt erőfölényével az iOS-eszközökön használt mobiltárcák piacán.
A brüsszeli testület sajtóközleménye szerint az Apple korlátozza a versenyt azáltal, hogy meggátolja a hozzáférést az érintés nélküli fizetésekhez használt szabványos technológiákhoz. A bizottság a többi között azzal is vádolja a céget, hogy saját alkalmazása, az Apple Pay javára megakadályozza a fejlesztőket abban, hogy készülékein hozzáférjenek a szükséges hardverekhez és szoftverekhez.
Margrethe Vestager versenypolitikáért felelős uniós biztos azt mondta, hogy „vannak arra utaló jelek, hogy az Apple korlátozta a harmadik felek hozzáférését a kulcsfontosságú technológiákhoz, amelyek szükségesek ahhoz, hogy az Apple készülékein versenyképes mobiltárca-megoldásokat fejlesszenek ki.” Elmondta továbbá, hogy hivatalos kifogásközlést küldtek a nagyvállalatnak az ügyben.
A kifogásközlés az uniós trösztellenes szabályok feltételezett megsértésére irányuló bizottsági vizsgálatok első hivatalos lépése. A címzettek megvizsgálhatják az előzetes vizsgálati aktában szereplő dokumentumokat, írásban válaszolhatnak, és szóbeli meghallgatást kérhetnek ügyükben. A trösztellenes vizsgálat lezárására nincs jogi határidő.

A fejlesztők továbbra sem elégedettek a 30 százalékos részesedéssel, amit nemrégiben perre is vittek Hollandiában.
Egy holland alapítvány beperelte az Apple-t az App Store fejlesztői díjai miatt, és 5,5 milliárd eurós kártérítést követelnek az állítólagos monopolhelyzet fenntartásáért – olvasható a Bloomberg beszámolójában.
A Holland Fogyasztói Versenyjogi Követelések Alapítvány sajtóközleményéből kiderült, kollektív kártérítési keresetet nyújtottak be minden olyan iPhone- és iPad-tulajdonos nevében az Európai Unióban, akik fizetős alkalmazásokat töltöttek le, vagy alkalmazáson belül vásároltak.
A holland alapítvány részéről szokatlan lépésnek tűnhet, hogy nem a fejlesztők, hanem a fogyasztók nevében perlik az Apple-t, hiszen éppen az előbbiek a legnagyobb kárvallottjai a cupertinóiak üzleti stratégiájának.
Idén januárban az Apple peren kívül 100 millió dollárban megegyezett az amerikai szoftverprogramozók által indítványozott jogvitás ügyben, mely során a Consumer Competition Claims Foundation azt állította, hogy a kaliforniai óriáscég a fejlesztői díjakat a fogyasztókra hárította át, mégpedig magasabb árak formájában.
A holland alapítvány arra kéri azokat az uniós fogyasztókat, akik 2009 szeptembere óta vásároltak alkalmazást az Apple App Store-jában, vagy alkalmazáson belüli vásárlást hajtottak végre, hogy csatlakozzanak a panaszhoz, melynek keresetét az amszterdami kerületi bíróságon adják be.

Egyre több eset kapcsán bizonyosodik be, hogy nem öncélú az okosórák esésérzékelő funkciója. Legutóbb az északkelet-angliai kerékpáros esetében bizonyított.
Tragikusabban is végződhetett volna Jay Dixon kerékpározása, ha nincs a kezén Apple Watch okosórája. A férfi az északkelet-angliai Cleethorpsban kerékpározott, azonban egy kanyarodás közben egy autó elütötte. A kerékpáros a földön találta magát, levegő után kapkodott, és miután agyrázkódást szenvedett, semmit sem tudott tenni – írja a helyi GrimsbyLive. Szerencsére Apple Watchának esésérzékelő funkciója segítséget kért helyette, miután érzékelte az esést, értesítette a mentőket és a férfi párját. Elküldte a pontos tartózkodási helyet is, így rövid időn belül megérkezett a segítség. Dixon még kórházban lábadozik.
Egyelőre nem tudni, hogy milyen Apple Watchot viselt a szerencsétlenül járt férfi, mindenesetre az Apple Watch Series 4 már ismeri ezt a funkciót, az Apple Watch Series 7-et pedig továbbfejlesztették a kerékpáros-esések felismerésére. (A legújabb hírek szerint az Apple az autóbalesetekre is kiterjesztené ezt a funkciót.) Az esésérzékelés egyébként mások mellett a Samsung és a Garmin egyes óráiba is bekerült már.
Az esésérzékelő automatikusan bekapcsol, ha az Apple Watchnak megadott születési dátum szerint az óra viselője 55 évesnél idősebb. A funkció természetesen kézzel is beállítható a Settings (Beállítások) alatt. Érdemes viszont megjegyezni, hogy az esésérzékelő néha feleslegesen riaszt, például ha valaki egy nagyobbat ugrik, vagy hirtelen mozdulattal ül le.

Az orosz Szövetségi Monopóliumellenes Szolgálat 12 millió dollár bírságot szabott ki az Apple-re a mobilalkalmazások piacán fennálló erőfölénnyel történő visszaélés címén.
A hatóság kedden kiadott közleménye szerint az Apple-re a Kaspersky Lab vírusvédelmi és internetbiztonsági cég tett panaszt, amely szerint az Apple „indokolatlanul elutasította” a Kaspersky Safe Kids szülői felügyeleti alkalmazást.
A monopóliumellenes hatóság tavaly augusztusban felszólította az Apple-t, hogy távolítsa el az alkalmazásoknak App Store-ba való felvételének szabályai közük azt a rendelkezést, amelynek értelmében a forgalmazó saját belátása szerint tagadhatja meg a harmadik felektől származó fejlesztések elhelyezését.Az orosz hatóság azt is megállapította, hogy az Apple dokumentumaiban korlátlan mérlegelési jogkört biztosít magának, ami a verseny korlátozásához vezethet.

Újra támadásba lendült a REvil néven futó orosz hackercsoport, az Acer után most az Egyesült Államok legértékesebb vállalatát, az Apple-t támadták meg, amelytől ötvenmillió dollárt követelnek – írja a The Record.
A hackercsoport a világ legnagyobb laptopgyártójától, a tajvani székhelyű Quanta Computer-től lopta el az Apple ismertetett és még bemutatás előtt álló termékeinek leírásait, illetve terveit, amiket közzé is tettek a dark weben (sötét net) található oldalukon.
Dmitry Smilyanets, a Future Recorded elemzője a The Record-nak elmondta, hogy a REvil UNKN becenéven futó „szóvivője” egy fórumbejegyzésben az eddigi „leghangosabb támadásnak” nevezte a mostanit.
A hackerek közölték, hogy a Quanta Computer jelezte feléjük, hogy nem hajlandó fizetni, ezért az Apple-nek május elsejei határidőt szabtak meg a „váltságdíj” kifizetésére, addig viszont naponta nyilvánosságra hoznak egy új tervrajzot.
A REvil korábban az Acert zsarolta meg adatok szivárogtatásával. Tőlük szintén 50 millió dollárt kértek, Monero kriptovalutában.
A támadásokat a ransomware szoftverrel hajtották végre. Ennek segítségével letöltik, majd titkosítják az adatokat és az illetékesek csak a hackerek engedélyével tudnak hozzájuk férni.
Az Apple egyelőre nem kommentálta a történéseket.
