A letartóztatást a Los Angeles-i rendőrség szóvivője erősítette meg a Deadline-nak. Több jelentés is azt állítja, a színésznő otthon volt, amikor a baleset történt. Jennifer Aniston nem sérült meg. A Scotland Yard a kormányzati negyed főutcáját, a Whitehallt – amelyről a Downing Street is nyílik – teljes hosszában, a Trafalgar tértől a Westminster hídig lezárta. A kora este nyilvánosságra került első felvételeken az látszik, hogy a rendőrök egy középkorú, fehér pólót viselő férfit vezetnek el megbilincselve a helyszínről.
A BBC brit közszolgálati médiatársaság nem sokkal az incidens után közzétette az egyik térfigyelő kamera felvételét az esetről.
A filmen látható, amint egy ezüstszínű ötajtós személyautó a Downing Streettel szemközti utca, a Richmond Terrace felől keresztben átszeli a négysávos Whitehallt, a Downing Streetet elzáró vaskerítés előtt lelassít, majd megáll.
A rendőrség által kezdett biztonsági művelet hozzávetőleg fél órával az incidens után gyakorlatilag befejeződött. A Whitehall a járműforgalom elől egyelőre zárva maradt, de a gyalogosok már közlekedhetnek az utcában.
A BBC értesülése szerint Rishi Sunak miniszterelnök az incidens idején a Downing Street 10. alatt lévő hivatalában tartózkodott, de nem sokkal később távozott.
A Downing Street 1732 óta a kormányfői hivatal utcája, emellett a mindenkori pénzügyminiszter hivatalos rezidenciájának is otthont nyújt, a két rezidenciával szemben – a Whitehall felől tekintve az utca baloldalán – a brit külügyminisztérium hatalmas épületének hátsó frontja emelkedik.
A Downing Street bejáratát három méter magas, robbanásoknak is ellenálló öntöttvas biztonsági kerítés zárja el, emellett a kerítés és a kormányfői rezidencia közötti százméteres útszakaszon folyamatosan járőröznek a Scotland Yard terrorellenes ügyosztályának fegyveres osztagai.
A kaput belülről külön fegyveres egység is őrzi. A Downing Streeten évtizedekkel ezelőtt még szabadon lehetett sétálni, de 1988-ban, az észak-írországi brit fennhatóság ellen küzdő egykori legnagyobb katolikus milícia, az Ír Köztársasági Hadsereg (IRA) egyre sűrűbb merényletei miatt az utcát vaskerítéssel zárták el.
A miniszterelnöki hivatal elleni legsúlyosabb merényletet is az IRA követte el 1991. február 7-én: a szervezet aknavetőből három töltetet lőtt ki a Downing Street felé, és az egyik fel is robbant a kormányfői rezidencia kertjében, miközben John Major akkori konzervatív párti miniszterelnök éppen kabinetülést tartott. A merényletben senki nem sérült meg.

Mumbai lakónegyedében, egy parkolóban vették videóra még vasárnap az alábbi elképesztő jelenetsort, ami azonnal körbejárt az interneten.
A képeken azt látni, hogy az egyik parkoló autó elkezd merülni, miután megnyílt alatta az aszfalt. Az egész autó kicsit orra bukik, majd fokozatosan elmerül a vízben.

A hatóságok megállítottak Munkácson egy Range Rover típusú terepjárót, melynek ellenőrzése közben gyanúsnak tűnt a jármű alvázszáma, továbbá az okmányokba is hiteltelen adatok voltak megadva. A helyszínre azonnal kiérkezett a rendőrség operatív egysége.
A jármű volánjánál egy 39 éves huszti járási férfi ült. Kis idő elteltével még egy hasonló esetet is nyilvántartásba vettek a városban, melynek során egy Audit foglaltak le, amit egy 34 éves hely fiatalember vezetett.
Az ügyben eljárás indult, a nyomozás folyik.

Június 30-án a délutáni órákban bejelentés érkezett a hatóságokhoz, miszerint a Kijev–Csap autóúton, Alsóverecke közelében, kigyulladt egy X5-ös BMW.
A helyszínre azonnal kiérkezett a Rendkívüli Helyzetek Állami Szolgálatának (DSZNSZ) alsóvereckei egysége. A tűzoltóknak sikerült lokalizálni a tüzet, s megmenteni a járművet a teljes leégéstől.
A tűz kitörésének okát és az általa okozott kár értékét még vizsgálják a szakértők – közölte a DSZNSZ kárpátaljai kirendeltsége.
