Súlyos égési sérüléseket szenvedett egy 1952-ben született férfi a Beregszászi járásban, miközben szemetet és száraz növényzetet égetett. Az arcán és alsó végtagjain keletkezett égési sérülések miatt kórházba szállították, állapota jelenleg stabil.
Az eset egyike volt annak a 11 szabadtéri tűzesetnek, amelyekhez egyetlen nap alatt riasztották a kárpátaljai tűzoltókat. A lángok összesen több mint 5,3 hektárnyi száraz növényzetet és bozótost pusztítottak el. A legnagyobb tűz Csap közelében, Cservone településen keletkezett, ahol 1,8 hektár égett le.
A tűzoltóság ismét arra figyelmezteti a lakosságot, hogy tartózkodjanak a száraz növényzet és a hulladék égetésétől. Az ilyen felelőtlen cselekmények nemcsak a környezetet károsítják, hanem súlyos veszélyt jelentenek az emberek életére és egészségére is.

A Munkácsi járásban egy 75 éves nő vesztette életét, miután száraz növényzet égetése közben tűz keletkezett a telkén. Kárpátalján idén ez már a második halálos eset, amelyet a száraz fű égetése okozott.
A tűzeset a Munkácsi járásban található Beregsárrét (Kalnik) településen történt. A katasztrófavédelem 12:09-kor kapott riasztást a nyílt területen keletkezett tűzről. A helyszínre érkező tűzoltók az oltás közben egy emberi holttestet találtak a leégett területen.
A feltételezések szerint a helyi lakos a saját udvarán próbálta elégetni a száraz növényzetet, de elvesztette az uralmat a tűz felett. A nő füstmérgezés következtében meghalt.
A hatóságok ismét felhívták a lakosság figyelmét, hogy tilos a száraz fű, növényi hulladék és tarló égetése. Az év eleje óta Kárpátalján több mint 1100 szabadtéri tüzet oltottak el, amelyek során több száz hektárnyi terület égett le.

Vasárnap este Jablonovkán (Jablunyivka), a Leszja Ukrajinka utcában a száraz aljnövényzet meggyulladása komoly problémát okozott: a lángok egy portát kerítettek be.
A helyi lakosok azonnal értesítették a tűzoltókat, akik a viski és técsői egységekkel a helyszínre vonultak. Beavatkozásuk nélkül a közeli lakóház is veszélybe került volna.
Miközben a szakemberek dolgoztak, a falusiak is részt vettek az aljnövényzet oltásában. A tüzet körülbelül egy óra alatt sikerült eloltani: a melléképület teljesen leégett, de a házban nem keletkezett kár.

A száraz levelek és fű égetése káros az egészségre és a környezetre. A tűz füstje 350-szer több káros anyagot tartalmaz, mint a cigarettafüst.
A tűz könnyen terjedhet, és veszélyeztetheti az erdőket, a termékeny talajréteg megsemmisül, amelynek regenerálódása 5-6 évet vesz igénybe. Mindemellett elpusztulnak az állatok, hüllők és rovarok.
A száraz növényzet égetéséért 3060 és 6120 hrivnya közötti bírságot szabnak ki, amennyiben a tűz természetvédelmi területen történt – akkor a büntetés 6 120 és 12 240 hrivnya között mozog.
Ha a tűz következtében emberek vesztették életüket, akkor 2 és 5 év közötti börtönbüntetés vár az elkövetőre.

Azok a gyújtogatók, akik ilyen meggondolatlan és veszélyes tetteket követnek el, nemcsak a földet pusztítják el, hanem minden élőlényt halálos veszélybe sodornak” – tette közzé a Kárpátaljai Rendkívüli Helyzetek Állami Szolgálata (DSZNSZ).

A legtöbb tűzesetet a Huszti és a Munkácsi járásban regisztrálták 27, illetve 26 esetben. Nem sokkal marad el azonban az Ungvári járás sem 21 tűzesettel, majd a Técsői és a Beregszászi járás következik 15, illetve kilenc incidenssel. A jelentések szerint a legkevesebb bozóttüzet a Rahói járásban regisztrálták, ahol öt gyújtogatás történt. A tűz háromszor közelítette meg az erdőket, ráadásul a tűzoltóknak többször is alig sikerült elhárítaniuk a veszélyt, hogy a tűz ne érje el a lakóépületeket és az infrastruktúrát.

Az elmúlt hétvégén 32 tűzesetet történt a megyében, ebből 25 nyílt területen keletkezett. A Munkácsi járásban regisztrálták a legtöbbet, ahol 8-szor kaptak jelentést a tűzoltók, a lángok mintegy 3 hektárnyi száraz füvet, bokrokat és szemetet pusztítottak el.
Általánosságban elmondható, hogy az év eleje óta 73 hektár termékeny ukrán földet „sterilizált” a tűz Kárpátalján, az ökoszisztémákban keletkezett tüzek következtében. A legtöbb esetben emberek okozták a tüzet.
„Kedves lakosok, ideje felhagyni a szovjet „szokásokkal”, miszerint tűz segítségével kell megszabadulni a felesleges dolgoktól, és elkezdeni óvni a Szülőföldet és annak gazdagságát” – írta a Rendkívüli Helyzetek Állami Szolgálata.
