A grúz Imedi televízió értesülései szerint katonai repülőgép zuhant le a Grúzia és Azerbajdzsán közötti határ közelében. A hírek szerint a gép a török fegyveres erőkhöz tartozhatott.
A grúz–azeri határ térségében eddig tisztázatlan körülmények között lezuhant egy katonai repülőgép – számolt be róla az Imedi TV. A helyszínről készült felvételen az látható, ahogy a repülő hirtelen farokpörgettyűbe kerül, majd nagy sebességgel a földnek csapódik.
A televízió beszámolója szerint a lezuhant repülő a török hadsereg tulajdonában állhatott, de ezt egyelőre sem a grúz hatóságok, sem a védelmi szervek nem erősítették meg hivatalosan. A baleset pontos okáról és az esetleges áldozatokról sincsenek információk.
A térségben jelenleg a georgiai katasztrófavédelem és a határőrség egységei dolgoznak, miközben a határ mindkét oldalán biztonsági intézkedéseket vezettek be – írja az AP.

Az azerbajdzsáni rendőrség június 30-án őrizetbe vette az orosz Szövetségi Biztonsági Szolgálat (FSZB) két feltételezett ügynökét, miután házkutatást tartottak az orosz állami hírügynökség, a Szputnyik bakui irodájában – jelentette az Apa.az azerbajdzsáni hírportál.
A Szputnyik hírügynökség közölte, hogy Igor Kartavykhot, a Szputnyik-Azerbajdzsán szerkesztőségének vezetőjét és Jevgenyij Belouszov főszerkesztőt Bakuban őrizetbe vették. Az ügynökség „abszurdnak” nevezte azokat a vádakat, miszerint az őrizetbe vettek állítólag az FSZB ügynökei lennének.

Négy örmény katona veszítette életét, és egy megsebesült az örmény és azeri katonák között kedden kitört tűzharcban Örményország déli, Azerbajdzsánnal határos Szjunik régiójában – pontosította az örmény veszteségmérleget a jereváni védelmi minisztérium.
A tárca korábban két halottról és több sebesültről adott hírt. A tájékoztatás szerint az azeri katonák a Nerkin Hand településnél állomásozó örmény katonákra nyitottak tüzet. Az azerbajdzsáni védelmi minisztérium ezzel szemben azt állította, hogy az örmény erők nyitottak tüzet azeri állásokra a határ északnyugati részén, mintegy 400 kilométerre Nerkin Handtól.
Az azeri határőrség közleményében Örményországot okolta az incidensért, aláhúzva, hogy ők csupán „válaszoltak a provokációra”, melyet az örmény katonák hétfő este követtek el.
„A jövőbeni provokációk komolyabb következményeket vonnak maguk után” – figyelmeztettek a közleményben.
Jereván tagadta a bakui állításokat. Ez volt az első, halálos áldozatokkal járó incidens a két dél-kaukázusi ország között, amióta tárgyalni kezdtek a több mint 30 éves konfliktust lezáró békemegállapodásról.
Az összetűzésre nem sokkal Ilham Aliyev azeri államfő újraválasztása után került sor.
Aliyev a voksok 92,12 százalékát kapta, miután Azerbajdzsán tavaly szeptemberben egynapos villámháborúval elfoglalta az akkor még többségében örmények lakta, hivatalosan Azerbajdzsánhoz tartozó, szakadár Hegyi-Karabah térségét. A villámháború után a hegyi-karabahi örmény lakosság nagy része Örményországba menekült.
A két ország korábban több háborút vívott egymással a terület feletti ellenőrzés megszerzéséért.

Azerbajdzsánban őrizetbe vették egy nemzetközi szervezett bűnözői csoport tagjait, akik hamisított ukrán útleveleket készítettek, amelyekkel felhasználóik európai országokban menedéket kérhettek, és vízum nélkül szabadon utazhattak – közölte hétfőn a helyi állambiztonsági szolgálat.
A tájékoztatás szerint leleplezték egy transznacionális bűnözői csoport tevékenységét, amely illegálisan az ukrán állam hivatalos okmányaival látta el Azerbajdzsán és más országok állampolgárait, hogy ukrán állampolgárnak álcázva magukat különböző országokban élhessenek, ott menedékjogot kapjanak, és vízum nélkül szabadon utazhassanak.
A hatóságok adatai szerint a nyomozás során kiderült, hogy a csoport tagjai 2023 januárja óta illegálisan gyártottak és adtak el egyes állampolgároknak ukrán útleveleket, személyi igazolványokat és vezetői engedélyeket, valamint egyéb dokumentumokat. Egy-egy hamisított dokumentum ára elérte a 30 ezer dollárt.
A gyanúsítottakat őrizetbe vették, és vádat emeltek ellenük illegális dokumentumgyártás, hamisított dokumentumok értékesítése és más bűncselekmények elkövetése miatt.
A nyomozás során azonosították a különböző országokban hamisított okmányokkal utazó személyeket is.

Az azerbajdzsáni hatóságok őrizetbe vették Hegyi-Karabah volt miniszterelnökét, Ruben Vardanjant. Hegyi-Karabah egy örmények lakta enklávé Azerbajdzsán területén. Vardanjant akkor fogták el, amikor megpróbálta elhagyni Hegyi-Karabahot, hogy Örményországba távozzon.
Az azeri katonaság Bakuba szállította a Lachin-szorosban elfogott Ruben Vardanjant, Hegyi-Karabah volt elnökét.
A volt elnököt a Lachin-szorosban fogták el, innen Bakuba szállították – írta meg a Kyiv Independent.
Az orosz–örmény származású milliárdos Ruben Vardanjant több orosz cégnél is vezető beosztást tölt be, illetve egy orosz befektetési bankot is alapított, a Trojka Dialogot. Vardanjan Ukrajna szankciós listáján szerepel, mivel igazgatósági tag a Volga Dnepr orosz légi teherszállítási vállalatban, ami támogatja az orosz hadsereget.
Vardanjan 2022-ben lemondott orosz állampolgárságáról és Hegyi-Karabahba költözött, ahol ez év novembere és 2023 februárja között az enklávé kvázi miniszterelnöke volt. Azerbajdzsán nem örült Vardanjan jelenlétének, majd nyomást gyakorolt Hegyi-Karabahra, hogy távolítsák el az enklávé éléről.
Azerbajdzsán szeptember 19-én megtámadta Hegyi-Karabahot azzal az indokkal, hogy terroristák elleni műveletet végez. Az offenzíva végül egy villámháború lett, ami egy nap után abba is maradt. Szeptember 20-án a terület örmény lakossága letette a fegyvert és tűzszüneti megállapodást kötött. Ezt követően a helyi örmények elkezdték elhagyni a területet és Örményország felé távoztak.
Becslések szerint több mint 47 ezer örmény hagyhatta el az enklávét.
A távozó örményeket egy eddig megmagyarázatlan katasztrófa is érte a napokban. Az enklávé fővárosaként működő Sztepanakert mellett egy üzemanyagraktár robbant fel. Több tucat ember életét vesztette és több százan megsebesültek. A raktár mellett sokan tartózkodtak a robbanáskor, mivel itt töltötték fel az autóikat, hogy Örményországba távozhassanak.
2021 óta Hegyi-Karabah azeri blokád alatt áll, így humanitárius válság alakult ki a területen. Az enklávéban kevés az élelmiszer és az üzemanyag, az egyetlen útvonal, amin ellátmányt lehetne szállítani a területre, azeri ellenőrzés alatt van. Ez a Lachin-szoros, ahol a volt miniszterelnököt is elfogták.

Vardanján hozzátette, hogy az azeri erők az éjszaka folyamán és szerdára virradóra is folytatták a hadműveletet.
„Már megközelítőleg száz ember meghalt, további százak pedig megsebesültek” – mondta a hegyi-karabahi vezető.
„Közölték velünk, hogy el kell mennünk, nem maradhatunk, vagy el kell fogadnunk, hogy a terület Azerbajdzsán része (…) ez lényegében tipikus etnikai tisztogatás számos polgári személy halálát okozó háborúval”.
Baku elutasítja a vádat, hogy célja az etnikai tisztogatás lenne, és azt ígéri, hogy megvédelmezi a térségben élő örmény kisebbség jogait. Ugyanakkor eltökéltségét hangoztatta a szakadár terület politikai és katonai intézményeinek felszámolására.
Vardanján szerint a világ nem vesz tudomást Hegyi-Karabah balsorsáról.
„Oroszország hallgat, tulajdonképpen nem vesz tudomást erről az egész hadműveletről. De nem csak Oroszország hallgat” – mondta Vardanján. „Senki sem tesz semmit, senki sem vesz erről tudomást, nemcsak Oroszország néma, de a Nyugat is” – tette hozzá.

Egy biztonsági őr meghalt, ketten megsebesültek pénteken Azerbajdzsán teheráni nagykövetségénél, miután egy ismeretlen fegyveres tüzet nyitott az épületet őrző biztonsági szolgálat embereire. A tüzet viszonozták és a támadót őrizetbe vették – közölte az azeri külügyminisztérium.
A támadó áttört a biztonsági kordonon, és egy kalasnyikov gépkarabéllyal lelőtte a biztonsági szolgálat vezetőjét.
A tűzpárbajban megsebesült két biztonsági őr állapota stabil – tették hozzá a közleményben.
A teheráni rendőrség közölte, hogy az azóta őrizetbe vett támadó két gyermekével együtt ment a nagykövetséghez, tettét pedig „családi, illetve személyes” okokból követte el.
Részletekről egyelőre nem számoltak be.
Tavaly Azerbajdzsán londoni és párizsi nagykövetségét is támadás érte, de akkor az elkövetők fegyvertelenek voltak.
Az azeri Irán második legnépesebb nemzetisége, a 82 milliós országban több mint 10 millióan élnek a tagjai közül.
Azerbajdzsán az Irán egyik régiós riválisának számító Törökország szövetségese. Teherán többször adott hangot azon aggodalmának, hogy az Azerbajdzsán legnagyobb fegyverszállítójának számító Izrael azeri területről hajtana végre támadást Irán ellen.

A harcokban eddig legalább három ember meghalt, és tovább nőtt a háború veszélye a hegyvidéki enklávéban.
„Átvettük az irányítást több stratégiai magaslati ponton, beleértve a domboldalakat is” – jelentette be az azeri védelmi minisztérium szerdai nyilatkozatában, hozzátéve, hogy csapataik folyamatosan erősítik pozícióikat.
Szerdán a harcoló felek arról számoltak be, hogy két örmény és egy azeri katona meghalt a fegyveres összecsapásokban, amelyekkel ismét megnőtt egy súlyos fegyveres konfliktus kialakulásának veszélye a 2020-as hegyi-karabahi háború után.

A növekvő feszültség miatt Arajik Harutjunjan hegyi-karabahi szeparatista vezető szerdán részleges katonai mozgósítást rendelt el a térségben – áll az elnök honlapján.
Az 1991-ben kirobbant, éveken át tartó első hegyi-karabahi háború több mint 30 ezer áldozatot követelt.
Ezt követően 2020 őszén Örményország és Azerbajdzsán ismét összecsapott a hegyvidéki térség miatt, amely Jereván támogatásával de facto elszakadt Azerbajdzsántól.
A második hegyi-karabahi háborúban több mint 6500 ember veszítette életét, és az Oroszország közvetítésével létrejött tűzszüneti megállapodás alapján Moszkva orosz békefenntartókat küldött Hegyi-Karabahba, Jereván pedig jelentős területet engedett át Azerbajdzsánnak.
A Baku és Jereván között az elmúlt években lezajlott diplomáciai enyhülés ellenére továbbra is nagy a feszültség a két volt szovjet tagköztársaság között.
