 A jelentés szerint Pletencsuk elmondta: „Négy (Kalibr típusú – a szerk.) cirkálórakétát lőttek ki az Azovi-tenger vizéről, és ez egy fontos fordulópont, mert amint látják, biztonságosabb vizeket használnak, mint a Fekete-tenger.”
 A szóvivő szerint az oroszok biztonsági okokból a Fekete-tenger helyett az Azovi-tengeren kezdték állomásoztatni a hajóikat. „Mindazonáltal ez a tény is kellemetlen, mert úgy döntöttek, hogy használhatják az Azovi-tengert, beleértve a hajóik és az eszközeik elhelyezését is. De természetesen elfelejtik, hogy az Azov-tenger is elég közel van hozzánk” – tette hozzá. „Egy tengeralattjáró van a Fekete-tenger vizein, fedélzetén akár négy cirkálórakéta is lehet. Három rakétahordozó van az Azovi-tengeren, a fedélzetükön akár 20 rakéta is lehet” – jegyezte meg Dmitro Pletencsuk.
