Rekordmennyiségű kokaint foglaltak le Spanyolországban egy ecaudori banánszállítmányban – írja az ABC News.
Az ABC News írta meg a döbbenetes fejleményt, miszerint a spanyol hatóságok lefoglalták az ország történetének legnagyobb, 9,5 tonnás kokainszállítmányát.
Az elképesztő méretű drogszállítmányt Ecuadorból származó banánszállító konténerben rejtettek el.
A spanyol vámhivatal közölte, júliusban nyomozás kezdődött, miután a rendőrség információkat kapott egy augusztusban Ecuadoron keresztül érkező kolumbiai kokainszállítmányról. A szállítmány mögött álló szervezet egy banánexportáló cégen keresztül működött az ecuadori Machalában – közölte a hivatal.
A legfoglalás pillanatáról a Gibraltar Chronicle is közölt felvételeket, amelyeket feltöltöttek YouTube-ra.
A kábítószertszállítmányt szerdán találták meg a délnyugati Algeciras kikötőjében egy hűtőkonténerben, egy 1080 doboz banánt tartalmazú szállítmány között rejtették el.
Korábban szintén Algeciras-ban foglaltak le egy 8,5 tonnás kokainszállítmányt még 2018-ban, idáig az öt évvel korábbi fogás számított csúcstartónak.
A szállítmányt Portugáliába akarták szállítani, kiterjedtebb európai terjesztés céljából.
