Földcsuszamlások sorozata temetett maga alá egy aranybányát a Kongói Demokratikus Köztársaság keleti részén, akár 500-an is a föld alatt rekedhettek – közölte Dél-Kivu tartomány rendőrsége kedden.
A tájékoztatás szerint a tartomány egy távoli, elzárt részén lévő bányát vasárnap, a heves esőzések nyomán bekövetkező földcsuszamlások temették be, és mostanáig 10 holttestet sikerült a felszínre hozni.
A rendőrség szóvivője azt közölte, a hatóságok és az önkéntesek jelenleg is a mentésen dolgoznak.
Hozzátette, hogy egyelőre nem tudni az áldozatok pontos számát, mert a bányászok nem egy nagyobb vállalat alkalmazottai, hanem saját szakállukra kutatnak arany és más értékes fémek után, így nincs nyilvántartás róluk. Úgy tudni, hogy sok, a térségben a kormányerők és a lázadók közötti összecsapások elől elmenekült ember is dolgozott a föld alatt.
Földcsuszamlásokat jelentettek a régió több más településéből is, azonban egyelőre nem tudni áldozatokról. A közép-afrikai ország gazdag rézben, aranyban és gyémántokban, valamint kobaltban és koltánban, amely a mobiltelefonokban való használata miatt nagyon keresett. A bányákban azonban gyakorlatilag nincsenek biztonsági intézkedések, így rendszeresen előfordulnak tragédiák.

Több vájár szenvedett könnyű, egy pedig súlyos sérüléseket, miután csütörtök reggel erős földrengés történt a Rydultowy sziléziai városban működő kőszénbányában – közölte a Polska Grupa Górnicza (PGG), a legnagyobb lengyel szénkitermelő vállalat.
A csütörtök reggel 1150 méter mélységben bekövetkezett erős földrengés által érintett térségben 78 bányász dolgozott, közülük a nap folyamán 76-ot kimenekítettek.
A kimentett bányászok közül 17-et kórházba szállítottak, közülük egy szenvedett komolyabb sérüléseket, de állapota stabil.

A lengyel-sziléziai bányában az éjszakai rengések után négy bányász eltűnt, a helyszínen mentőakció folyik. A hírt az RMF24 közölte – írja a Jevropejszka pravda.
A rengések a mysłowicei bányában, helyi idő szerint hajnali fél háromkor történtek 665 méteres mélységben.
Mint a Lengyel Bányászati Csoport szóvivője elmondta, akkor 15 ember dolgozott a veszélyzónában. Tizenegy személynek sikerült sértetlenül kijutni, négyen eltűntek.
A bányában kutatási és mentési akció folyik.
Az elmúlt napokban ez a második bányabaleset Lengyelországban.

A keresést koordináló helyi mentőcsapat vezetője elmondta, hogy vasárnap a bányászok a földcsuszamlás következtében egy, a Manna falu közelében található tóba sodródtak.
„A falu közelében lévő több bányából származó föld és törmelék 304 méteren keresztül egy, a bányák alatt lévő tóba ömlött, magával sodorva a bányászokat” – mondta.
A mentőcsapat vezetőjének elmondása szerint a balesetben összesen 34 ember tűnt el, valamint azt is hozzátette, hogy a tó hétfői átkutatása után nyolc bányászt szállítottak kórházba.
A földcsuszamlások áldozatai általában olyan független bányászok, akik a bányavállalatok által használt nehézgépek által kitermelt óriási földkupacok közelében telepednek le és elhagyatott bányagödrök alján lévő instabil földhomokban jádedarabok után kutatnak. A legtöbb ilyen munkás más területekről érkező, nem regisztrált bevándorló.

A 48 ezer lakosú Sabinas település közelében dolgozó bányászok szerdán rekedtek a tárnában, miután a bánya három kutja is megtelt vízzel, amitől a vágat egyik belső fala beomlott. „Minden erőnkkel azon leszünk, hogy megmentsük a bányászokat” – jelentette ki a mexikói államfő szokásos sajtótájékoztatóján.
Öt bányásznak sikerült időben kimenekülnie, őket azonnal orvosi ellátásban részesítették, kettő közülük már el is hagyhatta a kórházat – hangsúlyozta Laura Velázquez, a mexikói polgári katasztrófavédelem vezetője.
Több száz helyi és szövetségi tisztségviselő sietett a baleset helyszínére a hatóságok szerint, megerősítve a tárnában rekedt bányászok megmentésére tett „határozott lépéseket”. A mentéshez először ki kell szivattyúzni a megtelt kutakat, hogy leküldhessék a mentőcsapatokat a bányába.
„Nem alszunk, éjjel-nappal dolgozunk… minden perc számít” – szögezte le Laura Velázquez az elnöki sajtótájékoztatón vetített videóüzenetben.
López Obrador hozzátette: a bánya biztonságát felügyelő emberek felelősségét majd csak a mentés után vizsgálják ki.
„Ezt későbbre hagyjuk, most a bányászokat próbáljuk megmenteni” – tette hozzá az elnök. A mexikói munkaügyi minisztérium szerint a januárban megnyitott bányában eddig nem volt probléma a biztonsággal.
Mexikó egyik legsúlyosabb bányakatasztrófája 2006-ban éppen a mexikói szénbányászat központjának számító Coahuila államban történt: akkor egy sújtólégrobbanásban 65-en vesztették életüket, és azóta is csak két holttestet sikerült a felszínre hozni.
López Obrador mexikói elnök akkor azt ígérte, a többi áldozat holttestét is megkeresik és felhozzák. A műszakilag igen bonyolult folyamat várhatóan 2024 végéig fog tartani.
