Barikádokat emeltek és rendőrökre támadtak szélsőbaloldali házfoglaló aktivisták szerdán Berlinben, 60 rendőr megsebesült az összecsapásokban.
A zavargás a német főváros Friedrichshain nevű városrészében tört ki egy társasháznál, amelyet a kilencvenes évek eleje óta úgynevezett foglalt házként működtetnek a berlini tartományi alkotmányvédelmi hivatal által militáns szélsőbaloldaliként jellemzett aktivista csoportok.
A tulajdonosok és a hatóságok, valamint az ingatlan részben bérleti szerződéssel rendelkező, részben jogcím nélküli használói között több évtizede tartó és időnként erőszakba torkolló konfliktus annak révén újult ki, hogy a kerületi önkormányzat utasította a tulajdonosokat az épület tűzvédelmi ellenőrzésére.
A tulajdonosok képviselői évek óta nem tudják elvégezni a felmérést, és a lakók és támogatóik előre jelezték, hogy a csütörtökre tervezett kísérletnek is ellenállnak.
Szerda délelőtt az épületnél barikádokat emeltek, amelyek egy részét fel is gyújtották.
A rendőrség vízágyúval oltotta el a tüzet és páncélozott járművel bontotta el a torlaszokat. Becsléseik szerint nagyjából kétszáz ember rájuk támadt, az utcáról és a környező háztetőkről kövekkel, palackokkal, tűzijátékokkal dobálták őket.
A rendet délutánra állították helyre. A tűzvédelmi bejárás csütörtök reggel kezdődik. A rendőrség szerda délutántól péntek estig lezárta a környéket és gyülekezési tilalmat rendelt el az elzárt területre.
